This place is disgusting. The floors are covered in stains, and every employee is rude and clearly hate their jobs. The pharmacy, when informed that my cholesterol medicine needed refilled prior to my cruise, reminded me that it could take up to 24 hours and Mondays are really busy. Seconds later, the three attendants including the lead pharmacist stood there talking and gossiping. I called my pharmacy 40 minutes later and they stated the transfer request was never sent. Honestly, it felt like the lead pharmacist was making it a point that she would not prioritize my request in any way. Hopefully, CVS corporation understands that this level of service is why the company is struggling. read more

Horrible pharmacy. Pharmacist very rude, with an attitude like she is the queen of Sheba. After waiting too long on a line, I asked for my prescriptions and my husbands and the lady gave me an attitude and she could not find our prescriptions, stating she has nothing for us. I had gotten already many alerts that our prescriptions were ready. I showed her my app with all the prescriptions to be picked up, she gave me the look and was very rude. Pharmacy stinks. Tried to get a standard prescription filled and they didn't acknowledge the order until I followed up with them. Then they told me that my insurance wouldn't cover it- which it does. Then they said they won't get it for 3 days. I asked them if any CVS' in the area carried the prescription, reply was "I guess you'll have to call them!" This place was actually a bit of a godsend for us during a long weekend in Bal Harbour. With few other options in the way of affordable necessities close to our place, the 10-minute walk to CVS was convenient and let us feel more at home during our visit. Cereal and milk, beach necessities, toiletries, etc. can all be found here. Pretty much everything you'd find in any other CVS. Self check-out is super easy and fast, and the prices are reasonable considering it's totally a convenience stop. Bought coffee + creamer here, sunscreen, and breakfast needs, and it was an easy detour right on our way home from the beach. Pending another visit to the area, I'd definitely return! read more

It's weird to see negative reviews for the pharmacy because it's the only positive experience I've had there. The worst CVS in terms of convenience items - food and beverages (including bottled water) are always out of stock. This is a busy intersection and always a busy store but they rarely staff anyone. This particular CVS has a great many self-serve checkouts. They work fairly well, but I think I'd rather deal with a human being. This CVS is in my mother-in-law's neighborhood, and I visit it only occasionally. When I do, I find the staff to be inconsistent. Sometimes they are very helpful and sometimes they make mistakes, especially in the pharmacy department. You can't really afford to take chances when it comes to medication. If you do take a prescription there, make sure you check it carefully. Of course, you should check your prescriptions wherever you go. CVS has a large selection of beer and wine at really good prices. They are also frequently on sale. CVS has a limited selection of groceries as well. If you have a CVS card, you receive many discount coupons that can save you real money on certain items. They are not good on prescriptions, beer, wine, pseudoephedrine products, lottery tickets and a few other things such as sale items (sometimes). So read your coupons carefully. The really good thing about CVS is that they are convenient and open quite late. They are everywhere you look. They stock a large amount of holiday items that they discount dramatically after the holiday is over All in all CVS is a great one stop shopping store. read more

Horrible pharmacy. Stood in line to pick up my prescription and when I presented a discount card, I was asked to move over so they adjust. Once they did, I was then asked to make the line again to purchase the prescription with no regards to having wait behind people I arrived before. The poor Pharmacist was frantic and trying to be "polite" while being horribly rude. At the end of my nightmare experience from hell pharmacy visit, the prescription had not been filled! I have a love/hate relationship with this cvs. I find their pharmacy to be awful - they don't open on time, are poorly stocked and on the whole have subpar service. I would give them 1 star on extreme high end. But. I just used their photo service as I put off holiday cards till today so I needed convenience more then anything else and this location is very convenient. I set up online at 6:30pm and was told they would be ready by 11am the next day. I was thrilled when I got an email an hour later saying they were already done! The husband got there before closing and my hand is now cramped from writing so many addresses. Five stars for the photo department! Pharmacy, take some lessons. read more

So let's talk about some things. First things first this cvs does not stock up! Meaning every time I look for something I have to ask them to look for it in the back because they usually don't refill anything. Don't bother asking the staff for anything, they just don't know. Even tho it has been the same people working there it's always the same answer. Oh I don't know which isle, or I don't know what this is, but the best excuse so far : no habla ingles! ZERO STARS FOR THIS PHARMACY. This pharmacy and the pharmacists are beyond terrible. Not only unhelpful, but rude, condescending, and dismissive. I live across the street and while I've always experienced negative issues with the pharmacy, my last experience with the 3 women behind the counter has pushed it too far. They do not answer the phone and today told me "they are too busy". They are unwilling to call insurance if needed again because in their words, "we are too busy". I have been in 2x a day every day for 3 days in a row. Every visit results in a new excuse - insurance trouble. I ask what kind? "We cannot tell you." Instead of calling to confirm a medicine has been discontinued, I learn when I arrive again. I've never witnessed a more rude staff, and inept staff. I will be willing to drive out of the way simply to have an interaction that doesn't make my blood boil. I'll explore Publix pharmacy or one in Bah Harbor now. Truly, if you can avoid this pharmacy, do yourself a favor...and avoid. I wish there was a way to get this review to CVS Corporate so they could reorganize and help save the brand. read more

Great customer service. My mother lost her card holder with her ID, and all her credit cards in it when she accidentally left it at CVS. Christopher and Jimena tried for days to contact my mother but her number wasn't listed on their system. They were so relieved when my mom came into the store days later, and were super attentive and knew exactly who she was! This is our neighborhood CVS and will continue to be so... forever! read more

I go to this CVS all the time to pick up my mom's prescriptions. It's not my favorite CVS. It always seems crowded, and the isles are hard to navigate. The checkout lane is a disaster. It's all self service but they always ring and need assistance which requires a staff member to come and assist you. Meanwhile, all the lanes In which you think are for checkout are closed, leaving you piling the exit of the store in a line. On the positive side. There's ample parking in the back for your car or bicycle which makes it accessible to the rest of the shopping center for any quick stops you have to make. Make sure you feed the meter though! Parking enforcement is no joke around here. Their cosmetics section is pretty big and they also have this nice touristy section with all the beach stuff you need which other cvs's don't have. Make sure you print your coupons before hand since the checkout lane is a disaster. read more

The pharmacy is terrible. I had a prescription refilled here for a three month supply and a full month's worth of pills were missing. When I contacted CVS customer service about it I never got a followup past the usual 'we have received your complaint'. I have had several smaller-scale issues with the pharmacy before, as have neighbors and family members so this was just the final straw. Has to be the worst pharmacy I have ever been to. I live in a building where 80 percent of the people will drive 15 minutes to a Walgreens rather than use this pharmacy. Try calling and you be put on hold for 40 minutes. You walk in and they yell at you. They have lost or mismanaged 3 different prescriptions over the past year. I can NEVER get a pharmacist to assist me when I call. To speak to the pharmacist. Today, filled two prescriptions at this pharmacy for my young teenage son. I NEEDED drug interaction info. I called and was placed on hold by a pharmacy tech for over 7 minutes -- just enough time for the pharmacy to close at 10 pm. I hung up. I am always left on hold. Always. Also... When my son was about 11yeafs-old this pharmacy sent me home with a container of powder with dosage on it. It was supposed to be prepared IN the pharmacy by adding water. They did not. I could have over-doses my son following the dosage info, had I unknowingly mixed it myself at home. Fortunately, I knew better. What if I did not? I had to take it back to the pharmacist to have it mixed. He was not apologetic. I I will now take my prescriptions to and shop at Bay Harbor Drug in Bay Harbor Islands. lAdam and Caroline are always available to discuss your meds and advise regarding drug interactions. Pretty inefficient with all the check out machines instead of real cashiers! Because they always malfunction and you need an attendant just to use a coupon. One of the worst CVS locations I've been too. First, they seem to have decided that no matter how many people are waiting to checkout, they can use the machines, which don't work half the time or require the intervention of a staff member. The few times I've asked for assistance finding something, I'm almost always either told they don't have the item, inaccurate in many cases, or am sent to the wrong aisle. When a cashier is actually present they seem to be the slowest in the business. Finally the pharmacy would rate zero stars if that were possible, unfriendly, slow and clueless. After another 25 minute wait to checkout I'm now just going to either Publix or the Walgreens that's 10 minutes north instead. read more

The worst customer service I have ever experienced at a Cvs. Why doesn't anyone speak proper English here? Why is the photo lab employee ever in her station? And for the love of god they never have Newport's nor do they sell any kind of cat products. They are now doing construction next door to expand this store and I really hope they hire better people. Even though this CVS was located near me I had to switch to the public pharmacy because of all the stress this pharmacy would give me every single time. They have gotten my prescription wrong and gave me the wrong medication on a few occasions and once gave me lancets for a blood sugar tester instead of syringes for my insulin even though the prescription were for syringes. They constantly couldn't find me on their system by name because they spelled it wrong the first time and told me they cannot delete profiles so there was one with the wrong spelled name and wrong address and one that was correct. There are never any cashiers on staff either. You have to use the self checkout machines that constantly don't work and deal with employees who don't know their inventory whatsoever. Unless if you enjoy incompetence with a smile, stay away. read more

This has been the Worst experience ever in this CVS. The pharmacist is a rude, careless , unprofessional and abusive person. I went to pick up my mom's prescription before my trip. At the Pharmacy counter, I asked for the prescription by giving the name , DOB. the Pharmacist said that she was on the phone with the Dr.'s offce and to come back in 20 minutes (2:40pm). I had errands to do so I came back at 5pm. The Pharmacist said there were no prescriptions for my mom and that the Doctor's office might have hang up. She told me to call the Dr.'s office. I said it closed by and it was the answering service. After calling Corporate office and wasting my time, the frustration grew even more. Finally, I got the Dr.' Cell phone . He called the Pharmacy. I asked the "Pharmacist from Hell" if the Doctor called. She replied :"No". At the same time, the doctor texted me that the Pharmacist put him on hold for over 5 minutes by the Pharmacist. At this point, I confront her and ask her why she has the Doctor on hold ? She told me to sit down otherwise she will call the Police and have me escorted out. I finally got the heart medicine for my mom. Big thanks to the attendants in the front, specially Ana. CVS should send to training in customer service the whole Pharmacy staff. I guess, the problems starts in Corporate and leaks down to the Pharmacy. WALGREENS is a better choice. read more

I grew up in this neighborhood and have been coming to this location for basically my entire life. As soon as they renovated this location, the entire experience of shopping at CVS has gone completely downhill. I have since moved all of my prescriptions to the Publix pharmacy down the street. The pharmacists at this CVS are always rude, inattentive, unaware of basically every prescription you have your doctor call in, until you show up to pick it up at the end of the day. I always make it a point to smile and be polite to anyone who is helping me, but the people working at this location make it so difficult to be friendly. Because I have to pay for parking every time I'm here, I am always trying to be in and out quickly. The line to the pharmacy is ALWAYS long and the pharmacists make it a point to move as slowly as possible. If you want to know what it is like to hate your job, to not enjoy being at work, the pharmacists here are great examples. I hate to be rude, and I rarely write rude reviews, however, this nonsense needs to stop. This CVS is conveniently located next to my home, and now I find myself going further away just to avoid the horrible experience I have here every time. The final straw happened today. I had a prescription called in at 11am and showed up for it around 3:30pm. Of course, it was not ready and I was told I could wait 30 minutes or receive a text when it was ready, attitude included. It is now 11:10pm of the same day and no text was ever received and I am without my medication. Do yourself a favor and avoid this CVS and the pharmacy at ALL COSTS. Publix is two blocks away and another CVS and/or Walgreens is just a short 4 minute drive from here. read more
