Employee asked for our name, then to spell our last name and then to spell our first name. They're all pretty basic, but we weren't bothered by this. Beyond this necessary communication the employee said zilch to us. The woman was absolutely miserable. Once our prescription came through the window there was no "thank you," or "have a nice weekend." This was a huge departure from the super nice and engaging pharmacy manager who works here. Yikes. If anyone from Walgreens is reading this and you can figure out who was working the Edgewood Rd. drive-thru window on Saturday, 06/12/21 at 2pm, please encourage some additional customer service training. We inadvertently had a prescription filled here, but won't be going forward.

Get out, walk in to find it's closed on the inside also, and no it wasn't lunch break. Avoid!

Poor service and some of the employees really have an attitude, like they don't even want to be…read morethere. Pharmacy seems to have a fair amount of employee turn-over. You can stand there at the counter and even when they aren't busy, you stand there and wait. They're going to wait on you when they want to and that's just how it is. Majority of the time there is no one working the camera/photo counter. At least not as many times as I've been there. About 2 out of 10 times I can catch someone otherwise you just stand there and wait. If it's one of the lifer's that worked there for years, you're probably going to get an attitude. I walked in with a small FedEx box and she looked over at me and let out a huge, SIGH. Then she said, I guess I'll get to go on break sometime....I've only been trying to for the last half hour. She's told me the same thing before. Must be about always ready to go on break. You know how long it takes to scan the label and if you don't need a text number for them to enter? About 20 seconds. If it will fit the FedEx drop box about a mile down the street I drive the extra distance so I don't have to deal with the camera/photo counter people. I drive out of my way to the drop box more times than I stop at Walgreen's because of who I may have to deal with there. The ATM has been out of service for well over a month. Once in a while one of the front doors quits working. Last time I think it took two weeks to get it fixed. Potholes are only getting larger in the parking lot. Not a good Walgreen's location at all in my opinion.

When I placed the order, however, the website will say that my order will be ready for pick up by a certain time and that I am to pay in-store. I went to the store, and was told that they never got the order. I was told that I could call to ensure that they received the order, but I figured an page saying that my order was placed, would be ready by a certain time, and a confirmation of my payment option would be enough-guess not. Although I prefer Walgreen's prints to Walmart's (Walmart's prints a tad darker), if their online ordering center isn't reliable, I won't be using them again.

All the staff that helped me were very nice, friendly and professional. I was literally there for 4 hours. Getting every picture I needed printed. They actually kept checking on me to make sure I didn't need help with anything.

BUT primarily I print photos here or cards or even copies of items. Staff is hit or miss. Price is on par. Selection seems to be ok, I do really like their seasonal gift items. The parking lot can be kind of a nightmare. But I want to shout out to their photo staff. Generally, they do a stellar job! I'll always come to the Coralville Walgreens for photos needs.

So incredibly unprofessional and just flat out rude. 800 number doesn't deal with the type of prescription we need filled for my child so I have to hold whenever they give us the runaround and make it impossible to fill his prescription that he has to have to function in school. I am going to research new pharmacies after tonight because I am tired of the incredibly inconsiderate treatment to their patients. I am a nurse and I wouldn't dare hang up on a patient nor speak to them in the manner these folks do. Patients holding for so long when they can't speak to the 800 number is also just inexcusable. So, you ask yourself, why the heck would she say that and give them five stars?? Well, while it is a huge issue for me that I cannot fill prescriptions there with the coverage of my insurance, I ended up there the other night because CVS has decided, in their infinite wisdom, that this portion of Iowa does not need the ability to fill a prescription at 10 p.m. at night. My son, who was in the ER until his release at 10 p.m., would likely disagree. He really needed pain meds, and I had very few options to fill the script. I ended up at Walgreens, resolving that his physical health and well-being was more important than the cost-savings of waiting until morning to fill the prescription. They quoted me the price, and I told them I would deal... it wasn't enormous, and it was better than making him suffer until morning. The pharmacist was very nice. I couldn't fault her for the lame fact that they do not take military insurance. I waited, and they filled the script. When I went to pay, she told me she had found a discount (I honestly have no idea if this was a coupon lying around or the fact that I happened to have a shoppers' card, but either way...). I saved about half on the script and my son slept better that night with the pain meds I was able to get for him. If Walgreens starts taking my insurance again, I will likely not bother with CVS anymore. I much prefer being able to fill and emergency prescription and having a nice pharmacist available to talk to, even in the wee hours of the night. 24 hour pharmacy... what a novel concept!!
