In short Chronically understaffed, but they get the job done. In long Chain pharmacy/drugstores all start to run together after a while. This one covers all the basics from what I can see. After recently changing insurance, we now pick up here. Every time I've driven through to pick up at the window, the line has been crazy long. They often have one person handling both the in-store and drive-through pickups. This is insane! Most pharmacies have several techs and a pharmacist working. One day last week the line didn't move an inch for almost 10 minutes. Fortunately, they offer delivery for a reasonable price ($3). That'll have to do for stuff we're not out of on the day they fill. It takes 2 business days, though. One other demerit: Their website does not let you send a question about a pickup (or anything else). Other pharmacies do, which saves you having to call once, fight through the phone menu, and then wait for them to call back. If they would add this to their website, it would let the employees answer the question when they can and then call you. They almost seem like they're purposely designing the work environment to drive their employees nuts. I asked the tech last night if they always make her work by herself, and she just laughed. I still can't figure out why that would be funny...lol read more

We mainly go to Walgreens as they are the only drugstore in Mukilteo now ever since the Rite Aid closed down. Considering how busy they are, the staff is always professional and efficient for me and my family. We often use the drive thru to pick up our prescriptions. It's gonna be hit and miss for how long a line there is, depending on the time of day so we try to find time before or after the late day rush. Appreciate having express pay for a quicker checkout. read more

The pharmacy is the WORST. The wait times are horrific. They are unapologetic to not helping people. There was 7 people standing behind the counter, not helping anyone in line, giving no explanation as to why there were that many people yet no one was being helped. read more

Those that work in the store are amazing and I will continue to shop in the store, but the pharmacy has rude pharmacist and some rude pharmacist techs. Each pharmacist has a different policy on fills and sometimes they bill insurance and sometimes they don't. My doctor approved an early fill due to vacation and the pharmacists agreed but when I called, they said they would not honor it. One person needs a different order clarification than another pharmacist does. It only makes the customer seem crazy. They have truly gone downhill. Currently trying to transfer a script and they won't release it, even though it is ok to be filled. Being in healthcare myself I try to be understanding, but this place makes me become the very person I dislike in my job. read more

This place is so bad that I don't understand how it stays in business. My prescriptions here were transferred when Bartell's closed, and every single fill has been awful. They make you manually call in for refills. Routinely, they'll say they are starting the prescription and it will be filled within the hour. You'll show up five hours later and they'll say they never started it, come back in an hour. And then, they'll say it has been out of stock the entire time and they can't fill it for days. I've had this happen multiple times and they are completely unapologetic. I've waited several hours to have prescriptions filled post-surgery and have had them still never filled. No phone calls to notify you things aren't filled. How does this place stay in business? read more

I just left this review on Google review, but wanted to leave it here too. I'm going to start this review off with letting others know that I have dealt with multiple pharmacies for many years now. So, I've had my fair share of issues too. However, I have been going to this pharmacy for a good while now and to be honest, I have never had a bad experience. Yes, sometimes scripts take a while to fill, but that's the business of pharmacy. It's not their fault. They deal with enough toxic customers. I want to give a shoutout to the people who work with the customers face to face. I apologize, i forgot your names. The guy with the glasses is extremely kind and friendly! He always remembers me and goes above and beyond to help me. The girl (maybe in her 20s?) is amazing! She's very patient and will work with the customers to help with their needs. Also the other woman (she has an accent), is very helpful and generous with her words and thoughtfulness. The pharmacists are great too! I just don't deal with them as much as they are generally doing their pharmacist thing in the back. But, yeah... I just wanted to give y'all a shoutout and I hope this brings a silver lining for your day to day crappy customers, that a lot of us truly appreciate you and what you do. This is only my second Yelp review, so you can imagine the experience had to be extreme. Let me preface this review by saying the Walgreens store staff if great, the pharmacy is not. Run, don't walk to the next pharmacy! This is the closest pharmacy to my home, plus, it has a drive through. You might think this makes it the ultimate convenient option. NO. Save yourself a multitude of unpleasant experiences and pick another pharmacy, even if you have to walk inside. The staff can't keep up with the work load, and that's unfortunate. But in this type of industry it's pretty important to try and listen to what the customer is actually trying to convey. You WILL NOT receive that here. I've been filling prescriptions here for 10 years and I can deal with the ever increasing wait times, but it's the complete lack of communication that I can no longer handle. From one incompetent place to another I guess. Transferred my prescription from right aid. The lady on the phone seemed to be deaf I had to repeat myself several times to get her the information. Got a text Sunday that my prescription was ready. I go in Monday wait in line watching 5 people fart around in the back while one lady is running the front and drive through. I finally got to the front and "your prescription is not ready. Can you wait while we fill it." No I can't. Unless I want to get home real late. I asked why I got a text saying it was filled when it wasn't and she just shrugged and repeated we can fill it now. Instead of blowing up I just turned around and walked out. I have transferred my prescription to Fred Meyer. Why have pharmacy's gone to crap. Kinda think it's time for a class action lawsuit against these places read more

THE WORST. I have been going here for over 15 years. Today, I was told: 1. They don't accept my insurance. Um, same one I've had for over 10 years and is ACTIVE in their system. Huh? They DO TAKE IT, and they ARE on the list of preferred providers. 2. They don't bill more than one insurance company. Huh? YES they do, the kid helping me was working on "coordination of benefits". THAT MEANS MORE THAN ONE COVERAGE. I called corp cust service and AGAIN, confirmed they absolutely CAN bill more than one company. I am so done here. Both pharmacists were incredibly rude and it was obvious they didn't want to be bothered to help me put in a claim for a 300 dollar medication. read more

Walgreens in Mukilteo is full of rude, unprofessional, and lazy employees. There is never anyone around at any of the departments that is willing to perform their duties. A culture of not wanting to care for their customers is prevalent. If a customer tries to get a situation remedied the response one receives is " I'm sorry, but I'm unable to do anything ". This is completely unacceptable. If employees are unwilling to work the job they applied for then leave so someone else who wants to work can do a better job. read more

I was staying just down the road at the Hilton Garden Inn and needed to resupply on some of my toiletries - I think this is the closest drug store to the hotel. As usual, everything you need/want at the drug store. Staff was helpful with a couple of items I could not find. I also checked in on Foursquare while I was there - which automatically donated a free flu shot into a pool for folks you cannot afford them. read more

OK ... Yelp is teasing me to explain the photo. We go to Walgreens to get a prescription filled for my dad, and need to wait. No big deal ... we all wait sometimes. And sometimes we really need a restroom ... stall. And sometimes the stall is out of order. And never do we post these events because... ... unless someone has taken the time to print out an out of order sign ... two of them ... over the opening... to keep desperate customers from using it anyway. And from the amount of old tape on the door, this has been going on for a while. So, the point is. At home, the plumber would called and problem solved. Immediately. Or, the sign maker could change the sign on the ladies room to UNISEX. Just don't make the male customer feel 'uncomfortable' liberating a ladies room. It's embarrassing. read more

Just horrible. My kid had a vaccine appointment here and getting it went great. Very friendly to me and my kids. The wait time was long. We couldn't find the bathroom after (not good signage) and when I went to ask someone, wish I had just left. Or not come. I think they wish that too. Very rude and just mean? To my kid? read more

The worst service ever. I am new to the area and was looking for a good pharmacy to fill my prescriptions at. Not this place! There was one person at the window helping a customer and the 1 other standing therre, on her phone. After standing there for several minutes the lady on her phone finally said we will be with you on a moment. A new worker walked in the secured door, past I'm front of me and didn't even ask of I had been helped. Just walked over to a counter and started working. I am so disappointed in Walgreens. I use the pharmacy at this Walgreen on a regular basis. The staff are always friendly and will take the time to go over cost, insurance coverage, alternatives, etc. Occasionally, I will pickup some household item here, but this isn't a place where I shop or would shop unless it was an emergency. This location has gone to poop over the last three years. The pharmacy staff are very rude and they take forever to fill a script. There is one pharmacy employee that is nice. Today my experience was not only a poor experience with the pharmacy but it was a poor experience with the cashier at the front. I wanted to purchase a bottle of wine. I handed the cashier my ID and after she gives my ID back she asks my boyfriend for his ID as well. I said, "I am paying, not him" she said it's company policy to check all IDs of the adults who are in a group to purchase alcohol. That is my first and last time I will be purchasing alcohol. I use this pharmacy very frequently and I have noticed that they are slightly understaffed, but I have never had an issue with getting my medications! Some of them are incredibly friendly and I do enjoy my time there when I have to be there! read more

After I pick up my prescriptions today I am switching to always friendly and speedy Bartell's on 148th! I do want to say they are for the most part friendly when you eventually get help. The customer interaction is poor because the people working are spread so thin they can't pay proper attention to you. I have been a 20 year Mukilteo Residence and have been to this location plenty of times and for the most part I'm self serve pick my item pay and go. Tonight I went in to purchase vinegar for my 11 year old grandsons 102 fever, I look on my own going up and down every isle until I determined on my own I can't find it, I go to a clerk with a line of about 8 people and ask where is it, she says isle 8, I go back to 8 then look at other locations then ask anther checker with a line of about 5 she says 8, I go back look again go to others areas, then back to her and ask her again she doesn't look at me but says as soon as she helps the line (which was one person and $20) at that point it was my turn then someone else walks up and she rings him, I ask are you going to help me after you ring him, seeing that I am a customer too and was suppose to be helped after the last person that she called a line. She took me over to the item which was on isle 9 and she said it's on the other side of 8 which is 9, now 8 is across from 9. Period The first lady was the one that rung up my purchase because she walked off. read more

I went in Saturday afternoon and was the only person standing waiting for anyone to come help me! 2 white men were there, never acknowledged I was standing there waiting! Just SO RUDE! Where is your training inCUSTOMER SERVICE?? Clearly, they did not care about their customer's wait time! Unbelievably poor service! Also, Mukilteo's Walgreens has always had garbage and litter outside their doors and in their parking lot (which they don't share with any other business) and in the last 6 year's, I have not seen that cleaned up! Very nice and friendly workers, except for the rude male worker. We had to return an item, and he was obviously annoyed by that, he tried scanning the item, and said in a very girly annoyed way, "I have to retype the whole thing!" Then when I returned to my car, I noticed on the receipt he didn't do the refund, I walked back in, and informed him. He then said he just adjusted it for an item I had added to the shopping list. So there was no show of the refund. He did say there was a second receipt I did know of. Well he was just rude. But all the other workers there are very friendly. This is the closest Walgreens for me and its a good one. I come here for prescription refills and photo developments at a decent price and I also buy gum here because they sometimes have specials on the gum. Plenty of parking and its close to a Starbucks. read more

I loove that you can run in and get a camping chair, a Kamiak sweatshirt, nail polish and a bottle of starbucks in one stop and all at 5am. The actual walgreens store is awesome, I love the staff. The pharmacy is another story. I've been using this pharmacy for years, and never had issues. But with my last refill, (an emergency inhaler for asthma), it needed doctor approval to be refilled. After it was not filled Friday like I requested, I called my doctor and she said she approved it. I called Walgreens and they said it was actually ready for pickup, it just wasn't listed on my app for some reason. When my husband went to get it, they said they were waiting for doctor approval so it wasn't ready. My doctor then called again to approve it. I called Walgreens once again to see if it was ready, and they again said it was not ready because it needed approval. So I called my doctor again, who was not happy about this situation because I'm pregnant and can't be without an inhaler, and she called Walgreens and finally figured out that it's been ready since Friday (it's now Monday), they just needed my updated insurance card. WHAT THE HECK. If I would have had an asthma attack, it could have harmed my baby. Inhalers are not something to mess around with. I will now be switching pharmacies, this cannot happen again. read more

The staff at this location is incredibly friendly. I have to give a lower rating to try to get the attention of the pharmacy. Wait times inside and at the drive through are outrageous. I just got in line behind three cars. 25 minutes later, I am still waiting. Finally pull up only to find that they don't keep my prescription in stock so I have to do this all over again tomorrow. It will be the same long wait all over again tomorrow. This is typical for this location and it is frustrating. They either need more staff or a more efficient system for processing orders. read more

I've gone to this pharmacy plenty of times, and it is usually great. What I will warn is that they will often give you estimated times for pick up that are not correct, and not update you if there is any delay. My suggestion would be not to wait, and to drop your prescription off then pick up either later that day or the next day. read more

Holy Cow, I've been a customer with this store's pharmacy for 5 years and they just keep getting worse. They don't provide quality customer service anymore, and I'm tired of having to point out labeling mistakes! Don't they have a system of check-and-check again between pharmacist and pharmacy technician? They must not use it. Today I went in for a pain prescription for my husband as he had to undergo knee surgery. The pharmacy technician at the front counter just chuckled and said they didn't have any and I'd have to go to another pharmacy to get the prescription filled. Really? No explanation why, and no offer to call another local Walgreens pharmacy to see if it was a available? I was told they don't provide this service. If we were frequent flyers (drug seekers) I could understand the callousness and contrite behavior. I had to drive to another Walgreens 20 minutes away to get the pain prescription filled. Apparently, this Walgreens pharmacy doesn't believe in providing quality customer service. Do yourself a favor and spend your money at a business that will help you when you're in need, instead of saying, "We don't have that medication so you'll have to go to somewhere else to get it." I've had bad luck here. In a nutshell: -They don't keep their promises (aka the tech specifically asking me over the phone "what time do you need this ready by?" Me replying, "3 please" and her saying back "ok, it will be ready by 3" but then still waiting 20 minutes for my prescription to be filled when I get there after 3- and the tech has an attitude about it?) -I've waited by the register as tech after tech walk by, staring at their shoes to avoid eye contact until someone decides they're at a good stopping point and can come help me now. Seriously, a simple "hello! We'll be right with you!" solves this problem -Unless you need a straightforward, simple refill prepare for the hurdles. I tried to order a refill about 2 weeks earlier than normal and got an automated call about 4 hours later saying they were having trouble contacting my insurance company and they were working on it and will get back to me. Fortunately, I knew enough by now to know that actually meant quite the opposite and they had dropped my order like a bad habit and I had to call and arrange it myself I give them 2 stars because while a lot of the techs are not friendly, some are and really are trying and, like I said earlier, if you need just a refill and nothing else their automated system really does make it easy. Also, their hours are nice. I hate to support extended hours but that really is important in a pharmacy. read more
