I feel bad leaving this review because the staff here is so overwhelmed, specifically the pharmacy. They had to close the drive-thru, and after waiting on hold on the phone for 40 mins, I drove here and was told 10-15 mins for my script. An hour later they hadn't even started it and just apologized, but Walgreens needs to get their heads out of their collective asses and step up pay and staffing because this is a daily, weekly, monthly thing...with no end in sight. Autumn, shift leader was amazing! I purchased an item 06/06 realized it wasn't what I needed, went back later in hopes to exchange and realized I was never given a receipt or phone number connected to purchase. Finally got a hold of Autumn, she told me to come in 06/07 and said she'd give me a credit for the item. We ended up returning the second item and repurchasing it with the credit(then just paid the difference). Staff were super nice and helpful! Only thing I'd say is just always ask for your receipt!(maybe just a lesson for myself) But shout out to the shift leader, she was great! read more

Called to refill my medicine they couldn't even find me in their system and said they have no history of me I'm like I've been picking up my medicine for four years from the same place. They told me to come back wi the my empty bottles? That's really inconvenient. A phone call would allow me to refill and pick up when ready not go through these unnecessary flaming hoops to get them. I wish I could leave a zero! This has been a catastrophe. Our vet called in 2 scripts for our pet Stella on Thursday morning, July 18. Later in the afternoon my husband went in to pick it up. They told him they did not have anything for Stella. I called the vet and they told me they left a voicemail but they would call it in again. Friday afternoon I went in to pick up the prescriptions. They told me that they were out of one of the meds and had not filled the other one. They told me to drive around awhile and come back. So, though I was disappointed at the waste of my time I did. When I picked up the single med, I was told that I could come back on Monday to pick up the other med. I came back on Monday and was told the med was now in stock but had not been filled. I was told that I would receive a text when it was ready on Monday later in the day. I didn't get a text Monday or Tuesday. Today (7/24) I called at 12:44 to check on the med. I wanted to explain the entire chain of events. The woman on the phone kept cutting me off, asking my last name. I gave her my last name, she said "just a minute". Then she gets back on the phone and said, "I'll have it ready in 8 minutes" ... then she hung up on me. I got a text at 1:21 that the medication is ready for pickup. I'm pretty shocked at the rudeness and general lack of concern. They are running a pharmacy. Customer service should be a priority. I'd say 8 out of 10 experiences with them have been negative. They are slow, strange and just don't care. Time to switch pharmacies. read more

The pharmacy is consistently understaffed and the pharmacy staff are overwhelmed. One star is for the poor pharmacy management - they've known about this issue for over a year. Wait times typically 30-45 minutes for a script that is "ready for pick up", even in the drive through. Many times I have had to come back multiple days in a row. read more

I don't know why I continue to go to this store. I guess because it's in my neighborhood and it is convenient but I always regret it. They are always understaffed and very unfriendly.... not customer service oriented at all especially if you need to pick up photos. They will continue to help customers at the registers before they'll give you any attention in the photo. They advertise photos in an hour, but if you order books your lucky if you get them in a couple of days. Overall....very poor Management. Julie in the Beauty section is amazing. First they deny an RX because they only have 58 not 69, then it goes on back order, then they delete it and now they're temporarily closed with no additional information. The worst customer service I have ever experienced. They absolutely will not take phone calls. They hang up on you when you finally go through their queue which is like 30 minutes. Waited ten days and prescription still not filled and each time I went in they said it would be ready the next day. This place is mismanaged and under staffed. Very unprofessional staff at photos department I asked to help me to order a photos from my iPhone. The lady helped me with that and asked a couple times how many pictures I want to order. I told her over 100, May be more. . I waited my uploads about 1 hour. When I started to select the pictures, she told me they can't print 4x6 sizes. They can do only big prints. Going to this Walgreens is like a battered woman returning to an abusive man. You think, "it's been long enough that they've surely seen the error of their ways and they will be better next time. And there was that one time where I was treated so well." And then you return and they are worse than before. I was scheduled for the first vaccine appointment of the day. I only gave a star because I had to. I've been going to this hole out of convenience for a few years now. Every time I go in there I, I regret my decision. There's never anybody at the register, and if there is they are not capable the least... There have been times where I stood at the counter for 5 to 10 minutes. While the employees continue to stock shelves. Im pretty sure they all ate paint chips... I called today to ask if they had an Easter Egg dying kits in stock. The mumbling idiot who answered the phone didn't know what an Easter egg dying kit was and then proceeded to put me on hold. When he returned to the call, he asked how he could help me again. So I then repeated myself for the 4th time. He put me on hold again and then 5 minutes later. Somebody from the pharmacy answered my call and start a discussing somebody else's prescription with me. I proceeded to ask her if everybody there was stupid and then I got into an argument where I was hung up on. I answered my question myself. Everybody, there is in fact very, very stupid. I get sad when I think that the very people who live in my community are the same dumb asses that run the store. read more

No notes were left in the system by regular pharmacists including Tracy who just went on maternity leave, and I was just denied refill of my sleeping medication from the "floater" working there and management has apparently no influence over this incompetent man whatsoever. It is in no way my problem your pharmacy left NO notes on a controlled medication I've been taking and refilling at this EXACT location for YEARS. Fire the man and fill the script a doctor who went to medical school wrote and talked to me about already. They had no right to deny my absolutely necessary medication. read more

Pretty much a standard Walgreens. Always fully stocked and regular sales. Staff is friendly and the place is clean. I typically use Walgreens for unique items such as thermometers etc. I always use Walgreens to ship my wine here. I can avoid having to be home for deliveries. Just have the wine shipped here (wine.com) and pick up within 5 days from delivery. Drive through for medications is really useful if you have a kid in the car but otherwise, you might as well just go inside. read more

The pharmacy at this location has a sign that says something to the effect that "This isn't Burger King, you don't get it your way." It is common when calling to be put on hold for 30 minutes and then be hung-up on. It is like being in an abusive relationship as a previous reviewer commented. Walmart or King Soopers may be a better option if you shop in the Monument area. read more

I just had an amazing experience at the Walgreens in Monument. I needed to have some photos enlarged for a photo collage that I am working on. Rebecca was extremely helpful. She scanned, enlarged, and printed out all of my photos while I waited. She also located a coupon that saved me several dollars. Rebecca is truly an asset to the Walgreen's organization. I also needed to pickup some medicine from the pharmacy. The pharmacist that helped me (sorry I didn't get her name) was also very friendly and helpful. read more

Got my covid vaccine a month ago, at the same time they scheduled me for my second dose this month. I even got an email reminder the day before of the appointment time. Only to show up and be turned away because they ran out of vaccines. Not only that, they mentioned they were out for a while now. How about a notice then?! If there was a way to give this pharmacy a negative 10 I would. Do not have your prescriptions sent to this pharmacy. They are severely understaffed and you will be waiting days to get your prescription filled. If they don't have your medication you won't know about it until you go to pick up your prescription. So fun waiting for your meds and then driving to the store to find out oops we don't have your medication here. If you plan on calling the pharmacy save your brain cells. you'll be on the hold for at least 45 minutes and then when it's your turn to speak to the pharmacist the pharmacist will hang up on you. It's not worth the headache, it's not worth the hassle, do yourself a favor and find another pharmacy. Prior to that debacle I called the pharmacy when the Pharmacist was out sick and Walgreens was literally having people stay on the phone for hours thinking that they were going to be speaking to the pharmacist. Obviously the pharmacist never picked up and neither did anybody else to say we don't have a pharmacist today they just left you hanging on the line for hours believing that you were gonna speak to somebody. Bad business, shitty customer service, and a waste of your time. I since transferred all of my prescriptions to Walmart ..somebody always answers the phone they are kind and considerate and they always have my medication And they seem to be less expensive. read more

Hatred or theft. No rating. I filled a prescription at Walgreens for my dog. Apparently the drug is a controlled substance because my Vet hospital did not carry it. When I went to refill the medication I was quoted a price of $74.00. I immediately drove to Costco, and refilled the medication. THE COST WAS $10.79. SEVEN HUNDRED PERCENT LOWER COST FOR THE EXACT SAME MEDICATION. Not a typo, 700% more at Walgreens.!!! I complained to the pharmacist and the manager to no avail. Prices are set at the corporate office, so I assume Walgreens is charging up to 700% more for meds the sell to everyone, not just seniors and dog owners. Who knows what the do to people of color. Unless you own stock in Walgreens, do not buy your medications there. As consumers we need to vote with our dollars and choose businesses that have a policy not to financially rape customers to the tune of 700%. I understand the need to earn a profit, but a 700% mark up is immoral. read more

Great Customer Service! I was buying a new pair of IronMan sunglasses, and when the cashier was ringing me up, she asked if I wanted to get another pair of sunglasses because there was a buy-one-get-one-free sale going on at the time. I can't remember the last time any cashier has ever done that. Where I'm from, the only way to get the benefits of deals like that is to know them before hand. I needed to get a Tenanus booster recently, and because of my uncomfortable feeling around needles, I normally have a rough time with vaccines. The pharmacist was kind and listened to my concerns, and even gave some advice on how to better my experience and future ones. Very cool location, they seem to be able to handle high volume at the pharmacy desk and drive-through simultaneously without getting bogged down. I spoke with two different pharmacists about an issue and they were both equally on top of what was going on. They go out of their way to ensure that all their customers are being taken care of and have that personal touch that a lot of Walgreens locations are missing. This Walgreens pharmacy staff is by far the worst I have ever encountered. Not only are they beyond unprofessional, they could care less to provide any type of courtesy or customer service. Unlike other Walgreen's locations, they don't communicate prescription status, leave you on hold for 30 minutes then pick up the phone and hang it up and literally don't answer your call. I have returned multiple times giving them the benefit of the doubt that times are hard and others are not so kind.....each time is WORSE than the last. The pandemic can only be used as an excuse to an extent. You're still a business and a corporation at that! Shame on executive rolls at this location to continue to allow this behavior and BEYOND DISGUTING customer service.
