I went to pick up my refills, but the pharmacy technician said he couldn't hand me my medication and asked me to come back another day. I was puzzled since both the website and text message indicated the prescription was ready. I asked if the issue could be resolved right away. While waiting, I overheard the technician speaking loudly in the back about my prescription, questioning why someone would have two different dosages. When I tried to explain that my doctor had prescribed it that way and that it's difficult to make multiple trips when the medication is already available, he cut me off and said there were five types of the same medication--though in reality there are only two. During this exchange, it became clear that the wrong version had been refilled. No one apologized or acknowledged the mix-up. I understand the pharmacy is busy and short-staffed, but the interaction left me feeling disrespected and uneasy. read more

For some reason I have negative feeling about this place because it's all commercial around it however the dentist next-door has excellent reputation and many other stores have accidents reputations. There is a falafel store next to it plenty of parking it's close to different businesses to the lake and two regional trails. It cannot be more convenient! the place was clean the day I came here which is good. Service was quick but only one clerk to check me out. I can say I came here in the winter with fewer customers and I was lucky to be well served. I hereby deposit my testimony based on my experience. read more

The people at this Walgreens are great - the woman at the checkout greeted me as I entered the store, and the young lady stocking the shelves directed me accurately to the item I was looking for. However, most items (I'm talking lotions, toothpaste, shampoo, diapers) are kept behind locked doors. One must press a button and wait for an employee to come and unlock the doors in order to access the items behind them. It's absolutely insulting, and it wastes both my time and the employees'. That they selected this strategy rather than paying for a few more humans to walk around and help customers tells me that this is a greedy, soulless corporation that cares only about getting another penny or two for its shareholders. read more

I have no words. But I will explain the best I can. I was in there about an hour ago, and I was stopping in on my way home from donating plasma. I began to feel faint, and I said to the guy where can I sit down? Zero urgency to help me, even when I had squatted down to catch myself from falling. Not even a bat of an eye from this guy, he acted like it was the least interesting even he'd ever seen. More than that, I was an incredible inconvenience. I sat down at the photo chairs and could barely keep myself up, and he knew exactly where I was sitting. He didn't check on me ONCE, not to offer me water or even just check to make sure I was ok. I was in rough shape, and clearly looked it as well. Please people, if you work in customer service can you at least PRETEND to care? I went in with GOOD RX coupons, which they are SUPPOSED to honor, and they basically told me THAT WE CAN CHARGE YOU PRETTY MUCH WHATEVER WE WANT EVEN WITH THE COUPONS, and that you should ask us before you have them filled, what price we will charge with the GOOD RX. I had 2 coupons: one for: 24.47, they charged me: 41.94 second one was for: 41.20, they charged me: 76.30 NOT EVEN CLOSE TO THE GOOD RX PRICE. BEWARE!!!!!! read more

I only go to this location for prescriptions but honestly, it is quite possibly the worst Walgreens I've ever been to. The store itself is pretty sad - dingy lighting, old flooring, and the place just has a sad and tired vibe. Often, the line is pretty long to pick up a prescription and the pharmacists take their sweet time to get you checked out. At leak times, they will only have one person there to check you out and god forbid you have any questions.... There is a new girl there who is a lot quicker, but the men there are pretty slow about their job. I grew up going to the flagship store in Deerfield, IL, so having this be my closest Walgreens is a real bummer. read more

I made the mistake of expecting customer service from an employee at this location. Being a 75+ senior citizen, I was desparate for the use of a restroom and inquired if the store had one. An employee stated they did indeed have one but only for customers. I explained I was in dire straits and made him aware that I was about to loose control of my bowels. He still refused me access to the toilet. I ran in a panic to the pet supply store next door, mentioning my desperation, they immediately unlocked the door to their WC and I made it "in time". Feeling so grateful, I bought several cat toys and I don't even have a cat! I didn't get the name of the dark haired young man (no facial hair, no glasses, medium build) as I ran out of the store. Needless to say, I will no longer be a patron of this store, and will relay my experience to everyone I know. I left a one star review, as there was no way to leave a negative star. read more

Hello, pharmacy? Hello, pharmacy? Hello???? Even after over an hour waiting as "first in line", nobody answers. I actually called them on a second phone and asked for the manager, and after waiting a few minutes for him, asked if he could go do a welfare check on the pharmacy department to see if anybody was there or if everything was alright back there. Also, gave him my number to give to them to call me when they were found or less busy. Of course, I never got a call back. Don't waste your time at this store. read more

Went to pick up my prescription at the pharmacy. The first man I worked with was super nice and helpful but seemed a little overwhelmed because he was also training someone new. I had some questions for the pharmacist about things over the counter I could take to help me feel better but he only would tell me to go to the er. I said I wouldn't because I'm already feeling better than three days ago, I'm just looking for a little extra help... but he continued to tell me to the er.. I was then ignored for the next 10 minutes without getting my prescription. I asked the person who was in training if I've been forgotten and then she talked to the pharmacist and I got my meds.. super weird situation that didn't make me feel good. I'm giving 3 stars because the first guy I worked with was nice and so was the person in training, it was just the pharmacist that was super unhelpful and gave me bad vibes.. read more

My low rating for Walgreens overall is their continued DILUTION of the effective chemicals in our prescriptions by opting for cheaper and cheaper manufacturers!!! Prescriptions i take for asthma etc for years, are now SO ineffective i just suddenly QUIT and transferred everything to the good pharmacy at U of Mn campus (3). Another Walgreens struggling with customer service and adequate staffing. In all my life, I've only had two medication mistakes from a pharmacy. Both were at this location. On one of the mistakes, I was given 3 instead of 30 pills. I was treated like a junkie when reporting this -- like I was lying to get more pills. Well, they eventually checked their cameras (thank goodness they have camera in the area where prescriptions are filled) and found their mistake. An honest mistake on their part I'm sure but it warranted an apology, especially considering the "guilty until proven innocent" treatment I was given. Pharmacy seems understaffed and the store itself needs an update to make it more spacious with adequate room to wait. On the plus side, it has good parking and has a good location. read more

Abhorrent wait times for the pharmacy. And as of June 2022 they are insanely backed up on orders. At the very minimum, please staff enough people in the pharmacy to get people on their way in a reasonable amount of time. Oh, and if you need to speak with someone over the phone, you may want a book ready because you'll be on hold for at least ten minutes, if not twenty. All that said, the staff is friendly and I'm sure they're trying but unfortunately it can't make up for the terrible bottlenecking and backlog. The entire surrounding area would appreciate if someone from upper management came in and overhauled the whole place. read more

I live in the neighborhood and love the convenience of walking to the store but after going here for years I decided it is crazy to continue with their incompetence ! The lines to the pharmacy are always long and not infrequently when you finally reach the counter, they may or may not have your prescription ready Standing in the long lines gives you plenty of time to notice the filthy conditions throughout the store. Yesterday the carpets in the pharmacy were covered with scraps of papers and dust bunnies. It is hard to conceive of such unsanitary conditions in a place that dispenses drugs meant to improve health. I have tried to talk to managers when there are problems but they honestly don't seem to care. I am not alone. Many other neighbors have decided enough and are switching stores read more

The place where you stroll the aisles to kill time while they get your prescription ready and discover what you never thought a drugstore would carry. Sure these items are a bit more expensive but for people who buy milk and cereal here, it's probably handy. They sometimes have great deals - like Dove dark chocolate, 2 for $1. Being a Walgreens member is easy and instead of carrying a card you simply punch in your phone number. Someone always greets you when you enter the store which is kind of friendly. Service is also helpful. read more

The pharmacists are never there, we've literally had 6 of the last prescriptions delayed or late because they aren't open or the "pharmacist is on break" and the prescription was not verified. This summer I submitted a digital photo on their website to have it printed. I picked it up and found that most of the picture was cut off. Last Wednesday I submitted 15 photos online. I needed them on Friday. When I hit "submit" I was told they would be ready in 4 hours but that I would receive an email when they were ready. It's been over a week and I still haven't gotten that email, but I did get a phone call on Saturday saying they were ready. What I was told would take 4 hours really took 3 days. I won't be picking them up. On the plus side, they are open 24 hours (including holidays) and always have the newest M&M flavors (most importantly, coconut). read more

I generally avoid Walgreen's because I think pretty much everything in it is overpriced, especially prescription and over the counter drugs; and I just find the stores, well, kind of depressing. But they sometimes have good coupon deals, but a very baffling approach to them. Basically, they stock so few of the coupon items that your chances of actually buying it are slim. Thus today, when the olives in the ad this morning were gone by one. If Cub or any other store has a coupon, they by gosh have the stock out to provide it. Walgreen's takes the approach of luring you in with a good deal, then p***ing you off by making its purchase an improbability. I don't think that's the principle behind the loss leader concept. I noticed that often-time they have misleading stickers, like buy one get one free, but when you actually go and pay for it, its not b1g1 its the sticker from last week, even though its khm khm Wednesday. I WAS PROFILED!! I HAVE NEVER FELT SO HARASSED OR EXPERIENCED SUCH BLATENT PREJUDICE THAN I DID THAT DAY! From the moment I walked through the door, the clerk was a little too eager to "help" me. At one point, I walked near the front door, and she leapt out from behind the counter and yelled out "wait, you need to wait." But when she saw I was just looking at the ad, she asked: "What is it that you are looking for?" I tried to be pleasant and say: "just looking, thank you," but as I walked down another aisle I heard a "CODE" CALLED OVERHEAD and suddenly another employee came down my aisle and started "organizing" within just a few feet of me.
