On a recent Saturday, I had to wait 20 minutes before someone actually took in my prescription, because only one person was working and attending to the checkout line. At least five or six people who arrived after me got served before I was attended to in the drop off line. My prescription was promised to be filled in 10-15 minutes. I returned for pickup after 25 minutes and was told that it will be done right away. Usually I get my prescriptions filled at Harvard Vanguard next door, but they are closed on Saturday and I didn't feel like going to Davis Square. I should have!

Prescriptions aren't always ready when their automated phone calls say they will be. Many prescriptions are filled via an outside source, so take longer. One woman who's been there since it was Rite Aid is awful. She doesn't seem to know what she's doing and often ignores customers and doesn't jump on a register and help out when there's a line.That being said, the pharmacists are very nice and helpful as well as the manager and rest of the staff at the store.

I called and they said they'd have it done in half an hour, but when I went in not only wasn't it ready, but they refused to even deal with it because of their afternoon break. Calls to the pharmacy take up to an hour to be answered. The line for the pharmacy can be up to 30 people, with only 1 person helping customers. I don't know why CVS wants this pharmacy to fail so badly. It's sad that they aren't willing to pay for a couple of extra people in the pharmacy, and would rather have customers leave them.
