I have been using this pharmacy for years and I do not recall having a problem with it until this past year or so. The communication is terrible and they do not take mental health meds seriously and quite frankly Im pretty sure I get treated worse because thats what im picking up. My son recently started a medication that is controlled. Im still learning the ins and outs of the rules for filling the medication because it's all new to us. I have been given the run around for two days over a "pharmacist review". I called to find out what the issue was and the girl on the phone had an attitude from the second she picked up the phone. She put me on hold as I was speaking and told me incorrect information so naturally I was confused. I stopped in there to figure it out since they just mute you on the phone and let you sit there and again run around, rude girl in the back yelling up to the front about the pharmacist review. I get that but why? So I leave and decide I'll come back after a few of my errands. I ended up calling back to figure it out. The girl again treated me like an idiot and said my pharmacist reviewed it and it's too early to fill. I thought I was right on time... bottle said the 11th and today is the 12th. I wanted to stay on top of it because I am somewhat aware of how pharmacies are with this medication and all the hoops you have to go through. Well apparently it goes by pick up date and not fill date? Which is new to me. I usually don't care and give the pharmacy plenty of time to fill because again I get it. We are a split household, my son goes with his dad this weekend and is going out of town for the week so I was trying to get it all taken care of before then. All the pharmacy had to do was communicate the policies for the medication, give me a call and let me know maybe? Tell me that when we first started being prescribed the medication... after all that is their job. Instead it was huge ordeal lasting hours and everyone there treated me like I was being a problem when it was a lack of understanding towards a new medication and the pharmacies policies. This is only one of the issues I have had with this pharmacy I have had multiple experiences where they have fumbled my mental health meds and acted like it was nothing. Every-time I try to be understanding but it's becoming too much. I dread having to go deal with that pharmacy and it pretty much ruins my day every-time. There are not a lot of options in Mahomet and I think that is also something they are very aware of because they just do not seem to give a crap. It did not need to be that big of a deal, patient education is part of healthcare and communication goes a long way. This pharmacies does neither. They repeated the exact pick up and time on the phone to me like I should have known. That was a month ago... bottle says 11th am I really supposed to remember that last month I picked it up on the 15th at whatever time? If I am TELL ME THAT. I'm a single mom with a thousand things on my plate worried about staying on top of it all and this pharmacy made me feel like I was doing something wrong. read more

I checked the website and new the pharmacist went to lunch at a specific time. I went to get a flu shot with about 20 minutes before his lunch break. He said for me to come back after his lunch. Instead, I went to CVS and was treated with the shot and was back in my car before his lunch time even began. I'll go yo CVS from now on. read more

AVOID THIS PLACE IF YOU CAN. The pharmacy overworked and incredibly inefficient. If they promise you a 15 minute wait for your prescription, it will take at least 30. Their software system is horrible. CVS does a much better job. read more

Normally, I'm not the type to do this sort of thing, but I felt like this needed to be said. I went into this Walgreens last night to buy some Plan B for a friend. I, being the person I am, go out of my way to help those around me, but this is something I am not an expert in. When comparing the options available, I noticed that one brand was about $40 and one was about $60, so me not being an expert, I went up to the check out desk to ask the girl working if she had any experience with customers buying more of one than the other, or if it was just a difference in brand. I told her I was buying it for a friend who needed it and she was very kind and very helpful. She told me that she would compare the amount of the active ingredient on each and if they were the same, then buy the cheaper one. I went back to compare the two items, feeling very inspired by this complete stranger's helpful advice. My friend was in a state of distress, so I wanted to make sure that she got the best care possible. As I compared the two options, I found no difference other than the price, so I went with the cheaper option and headed back up to the register. The clerk was no longer there, so I looked around and saw her back in the pharmacy section, talking to her co workers about the situation and all of them collectively laughing about how I asked her for advice. One of them chimed in, "Well, I think abstinence is the best way to not get pregnant." Then, the girl I had talked to proceeded to say that she didn't know anything about this type of thing, so why would I even ask? And I just felt my heart sink. They were all laughing, and while I'm sure they didn't think I could hear them, I did. And that's no excuse to laugh at someone's expense, especially in your workplace where customers can hear you. I was fully prepared to tell my friend about how kind and helpful this stranger had been when I went to get it, but instead, I walked out feeling quite disappointed and let down. Thankfully, nothing traumatic had happened to my friend that led her to the need for Plan B, but she was scared and the last thing she needed in that moment was for complete strangers to laugh at her expense. If any of you are reading this, I hope you learn for next time that you should watch what you say because there is usually someone listening. You never know what someone could be going through and why they may need an emergency contraceptive. Thankfully, nothing traumatic had happened in her situation, but the next time someone comes in looking for Plan B, that might not be the case. Plan B isn't just for if you were messing around without being safe; what if she had been raped the day before? That's nothing to laugh about, and abstinence doesn't work in that situation. read more

New store. The clerks are very nice. The pharmacy not so much. The manager should have retired long ago.

I agree - The clerks at the check-out are helpful and always pleasant. The workers in the pharmacy are the exact opposite - unpleasant and often actually rude. They really need some training in customer service. It is too bad because the rest of the people in the store are great. read more

Always well staffed and friendly. Well stocked and clean. Only whine is I Wish they opened earlier.

I love this Walgreens! Everyone including the pharmacy personally are extremely friendly and helpful every time I go in! Prefer going to this store over any other! read more
