I'm leaving on vacation today 5/8/26 I had a prescription to pick up and checked pharmacy hours and it said they were closed from 11:00am to 11:30 am I arrived at 10:45 and the pharmacy was already closed. This location lost my Covid test. How can that happen with such a routine service. I don't even need to complain more: just say 'Walgreens (you know, the pharmacy) Lost...A...Covid...Test." out loud and laugh at how ridiculous that is. I recently moved to the area and changed my prescriptions to this Walgreens, since I've always gotten them from Walgreens. There is constantly a line at the pharmacy (they are short staffed it seems). Also one time I put in a prescription and it had been several days and it still was not ready. I went and they got it together for me. However some other people were not as lucky. It seemed that many prescriptions were not ready. Whoever the pharmacist is at the Walgreens in Lisle off of Maple avenue and route 53 is one of the rudest and most unprofessional people I have ever had to communicate with. She refused to fill my medication when it was ready to be filled. She was arguing with me then proceeded to laugh telling me I lost my medication. That's why I need it and she refused to fill it. I'm giving this review as I wait in line for my prescription. There are 6 people behind me. I left at 2:00 pm and thought I'd stop at Walgreens to pick up my prescription as my doctors appt was at 3:00pm I got here at 2:10. It's 2:40 now. I've been waiting in line for 20 minutes. Never in my life have I waited this long for a prescription. Update as of 10 minutes later: when I pulled up, the tech said that they were having an issue with a patients insurance. If that's the case and it's been TWENTY MINUTES, then you should have that person come inside so they look further into the issue and have them come inside, so the 6 other people can be helped. Blaring the big bad Wall of Sound as if it was the 1960's, this Walgreens was hitting the obscure pop hits made famous by the bespectacled egomaniacal genius (and maniacally controlling) Spector. It's like I stepped back in time! Picking up an ice cold Fiji water and snack on a 100-degree day, this was my alcohol-free pre-lube before getting near some white hot Yelpers at Meson Sabika in Naperville. I like the convenience of this location. That's pretty much all. Wait times for the pharmacy are seriously ridiculous. Waited in line at the drive through pharmacy for 50 minutes. I was 5th in line when I got in the line. There are now six cars behind me and it took me 10 minutes to get 4 prescriptions that the app says are ready for pickup. I saw a car a few cars behind me leave. Twenty minutes later they passed me again as they probably went inside to pick up their prescription. It still took 20 minutes inside!! No one ever says sorry for the wait or thank you for your patience. I watched the staff look furtively for my missing rx today and they didn't even say a word to let me know what was going on or that they would have to fill it again etc. I usually get a "how do you want to pay"--without even being told what the total is! I don't know if all the good people left (as I have noticed a lot of staff turnover lately) or if it's with management or lack of employees that is the problem. I will say CVS while far away--they have my stuff ready before I even leave the parking lot of my doctor's office. This is the worst Walgreens I have ever been to. What bothers me the most is stuff I have on auto fill doesn't automatically get filled all the time. And stuff I used once or no longer use and do not have set to auto fill--I see that they have requested refills from my doctors--stuff like antibiotics that you normally only take for an infection anyway. Or pain pills for something acute. I'm always afraid my doctors will think I'm an opioid seeker when Walgreens is always asking them to authorize refills I don't even want! read more

The most incompetent pharmacy I have ever dealt with! Putting meds in my file with the WRONG prescriber name! Erasing voice mails from my doctor with all the info they need to fill a prescription, then trying to cover up their mistake by saying they are "reaching out to the doctor". Why? I ask. Because we need his number for prescribing a controlled substance. Guess what? I was right there in a zoom meeting when he called and he gave you that number. I heard it and so did the people in the meeting. Now you are going to waste his time by calling him for information he already gave you? Yeah, doctors love that. The worst. I've been going to jewel for over a year now but I always stop to fill a 1 off perscription at Walgreens to see if they can fill a perscription properly and without incident. Today they couldn't fill perscription toothpaste right. They tried to charge me $25 for it but then I showed them on goodrx it was only $7. I asked since when has private insurance been more than goodrx. I believe they tried to fill me a brand name when a generic was available and my doctor did write to fill brand name only. I can only imagine a senior or someone that didn't attend a portion of Pharmacy school not noticing an absurd price if it was a new prescription (or they may assume "the price went up") and getting ripped off on a real perscription (I.e. not toothpaste) that may cost them hundreds of dollars without knowing it! The problem was only fixed when a pharmacist intervened to tell me my actual copay was $0. In the past I had a pharmacist refuse to fill a script here because of a law in Indiana. We don't live in Indiana. The law didn't apply there. My doctor had to give them an earful to fill it. Every time I see new pharmacy tech faces at Walgreens, even when I'm not filling a script I walk by to see who I recognize. My belief is they have a high turn over rate, or too many pharm techs so they can give each fewer hours. Jewel osco is your better alternative. The pharmacy there is ridiculous. Dropped of my prescription last week. I went and picked it up yesterday waited 1 hour (they couldn't find it) then they told me my insurance rejected it, waited another 30 minutes and they finally found my paper prescription. She told me to wait 7 more minutes, 20 minutes later I told her I would come back the next day. When I came back the next day they told me it was expired. Came here twice today to pick up a simple prescription and was unable to get it because the lines were too long and they were understaffed . When I came at Noon, I waited in line for 20 minutes and when I finally got up to the register, the tech told me my order was not ready (even though they said it would be). I came back again 3 hours later and once again there were about 6 people in line, several cars in the drive-thru, and only one tech ringing people up. Since I didn't have a half hour to wait for their inefficiency and lack of staffing, I had to leave without my prescription again. Absolutely ridiculous. Then I called them to cancel my order, and I was on hold for 15 minutes before I just hung up. I'm going to start going to Meijer instead. Every time I go to a Walgreens pharmacy there's a long line and not enough staff to cover the pharmacy. I also have a recommendation - they should have an app by location with an approximate wait time for the lines at the pharmacy. Or an app that shows the store video camera at the pharmacy so you can see how crowded it is and how many people are in line. read more

Terrible pharmacy. Looks like they do not take pride in their work. Long wait times in store , even longer drive thru pharmacy . Phone call wait times are more than an hour. If it is an hour or so before close time, they do not bother accepting any calls. They accept paper prescriptions without checking if medications are in stock. Only reason I go there is because I live really close by. I will be changing pharmacies. read more

This store is ok, not always well stocked with sale items or any other item but that's the Walgreen way. Pharmacy is just ok when they are staffed. The worst part of this store is cashier Suzanne, she is plain creepy. There have been times checking out where she has said not a word, only stared at me, no hello, no anything only the total purchase amount. She is very slow and when another cashier opens I jump on it. Now if I stop there to pick-up more than a prescription and Suzanne is there I walk out. That woman just makes me uncomfortable... perhaps she should only stock shelves. read more

Nice people. Everyone is short staffed yet they do the job with a smile. It is not the fault of the pharmacy that they have more vaccines and do testing for covid to keep all of us safe. This is my "go to" Walgreens - I get my prescriptions filled here, I've sent photos to be developed through the Walgreens app to this store, and I can actually walk out of this place spending a pretty penny sometimes... Sometimes I'm not even sure why. The pharmacy is really great - I've never encountered too much of a wait picking up inside the store, or using the drive thru. Always quick and the staff are helpful and friendly. This store is always clean, the cashiers are usually friendly and I will always return here as it's close to home and convenient. It's also nice that there is a Redbox outside as well. read more

I stop into Walgreens on a regular basis because of it's convenience but not always because of their customer service. I love their photo app and stopped in yesterday to pick up a few pictures. My visit yesterday was pretty impressive! I was greeted when I walked in the door. The employee saw me walk to the photo counter and she immediately walked over to get my pictures. This has never happened before! I was able to pickup my order in a timely fashion. Well done Walgreens! I hope some of the sister stores in the area can show the same improvement. Well this location gets a 2 star upgrade because the photo department at this location is fantastic. In the past month I've made 10+ photo orders here. I've also has prints and enlargements made here several times in the past. They are quick to not charge me for any prints that don't turn out well. They have never been anything but friendly and helpful. I still wouldn't choose to fill your prescriptions here. read more

Stopped by this Walgreens to get some cash but this location does not have Chase. They do have a BMO but I did not want to pay the ATM fee. So I just bought a few things and got cash back. The cash back limit is $20 so I had to do this twice in order to have sufficient cash funds. The lady seemed a little peeved about it but whatever I got my money and I was out. read more

I had to review the pharmacy at this location after yet ANOTHER terrible experience! We are going to change pharmacies ASAP. The staff seem incompetent. It's them or the Walgreens computer system at this location is messed up. We had a prescription for a generic that has always been under $10 out of pocket, They were out of the medicine and decided the non-generic should be substituted!!! (a difference of about $90!!) They did this WITHOUT INFORMING US! We had gone in person the last time they made a mistake to get my mother off their automatic delivery/charging. Unfortunately, they auto-delivered out of the blue, charged us and now will not take the medicine back in the un-opened package!! We have to go in person, AGAIN, to try and get this cleared up. They are terrible! Also, they lie and say their computers are down so they don't have to do their job. I went without a medication I needed for days and didn't get it until I went back a few days later to complain. Their excuse was that there was a computer error. So if it was fixed you didn't want to call me and tell me I could get my medicine. There is one girl up there, Kadeesah or something, who told me I could have an emergency supply of my medicine until I could get the full dosage. She turned out to be a liar. I think this Walgreens is getting a bad rap because some people have had a bad experience with the pharmacy. The people in the store and photo are SO nice and So helpful! I have returned things with ease and never gotten a hard time. The register ladies are always sweet and tell me when there is a coupon for something I a m buying! The pharmacy is a little understaffed and I have had to wait too long in line but they haven't screwed anything up on me and have gone out of their way to call in things for me. read more
