Pharmacy is understaffed and prescriptions regularly delayed. Recommend they suggest using other nearby locations for filling prescriptions

9/13 6:15 pm The customer service at the Walgreens pharmacy drive-thru was extremely disappointing. We came to pick up a prescription refill, and the pharmacy employee told us it would take 45 minutes. She was holding what appeared to be the medication in her hand, so we politely asked if that was our prescription and whether we could receive it since it seemed to already be ready. Instead of explaining the situation professionally, she responded with a rude and unnecessary attitude, saying, "Because IT don't have your name on it. 45 minutes!" She then abruptly hung up the phone. I understand that pharmacy staff can have busy and stressful days, but that is no excuse for treating customers disrespectfully. We were simply asking a question and trying to understand why a prescription would take 45 minutes if it appeared to already be in her hand. A little professionalism and basic courtesy would go a long way. Customers deserve to be treated with respect, regardless of how busy the pharmacy is. read more

Terrible pharmacy! My wife had a new prescription from her doctor sent there. It required first authorization form from her doctor. He sent it to Walgreens the same day the insurance requested it. I have called the pharmacy 4 times in the past seven days. They assured me it was sent to our insurance. I called the insurance company today. They told me it was never received. The insurance denied coverage since it was not received. They seem very incompetent. This has happened to us a few times. Thinking we should probably move the prescriptions to another pharmacy. read more

ordered photos for pickup. used 60% off coupon FROM THEIR APP. i get there my total was $22.39. They charged me double. $48 for 2 orders of photos for my son's birthday cards. i asked them why both the app and my "ready for pickup" email states both orders TOTAL as $22.39 for BOTH. they didn't know the answer. i asked them to honor what was shown to me TWICE. they did not. instead the lady in the photo department rolled her eyes at me before i could even say i had an order for pick up. the lady at the register was so condescending it was insane. Terrible walgreens. and it's a shame because it's down the road from where i live. Some people won't be able to pay DOUBLE THE PRICE for their order in store. i hope it doesn't happen to someone else. they need better employees first off. that would help tremendously. read more

Over the last two years the service at this pharmacy has been declining. Every time I order a refill there is a delay. They say it will be ready and it's never ready on time. I have to call in to check, often I have to call twice to make sure they will refill it for me on time. The wait times inside and in drive thru are always insanely long. I am now here at 11 pm to pick up my prescription. Have been siting here for 15 min, 5 cars ahead of me and we didn't move. The only reason I have been using them it's because they are just around the corner from my house. I am happy I am actually moving soon so I will never have to deal with them again. I just don't know how a business can function like this. It's horrible. read more

If I could give this store ZERO stars I would!!! What a joke. ORLANDO made my extremely traumatizing night into a ray of sunshine( at the trop and ft Apache location)! Thank you so very much for treating like a human being and listening to my concerns regarding the Walgreens located on Tropicana and Rainbow! I was treated like I was a criminal. I brought in 40$ to be loaded onto my chime account due to making sure a payment for my credit card didn't bounce! He told me his machine was saying it was fake, however he was still going to take it (which makes zero sense) Then asked me why I was so worked up.. and with all due respect is none of his business. My money was real & I had to travel all the way to the desert inn and Ft Apache location which was a major inconvenience due to this encounter! This happened at about 3:45 AM on Monday the 30th of June... so whomever the horrible boy was that was working the front at this time.... Is the person that shouldn't be working in customer service The name given when asked was "Jerry" Will be going further into dealing with this incident. read more

I brought my 4 year old son to the urgent care in the middle of the night and went to pick up his prescriptions at this location. I was told it wasn't ready yet and wait for about 20 minutes. So I waited. It wasn't a big deal for me. Went around the store and bought some OTC meds. Then was able to get the prescriptions after. And then my son said he wanted to pee. So I asked the cashier for a restroom. She said there is no restroom. I didn't believed her but I don't want to argue. So we just left and told my son he has to hold it because there is no restroom. Can somebody tell me if there is no really restroom at this location? read more

5-star service from pharmacist Cuong! Called late evening on a Saturday night (10/5) for a rather urgent medication and he was so helpful. While the medication was not available at his location, Coung immediately took the initiative and suggested a nearby Walgreens (also open 24-hours) and called them to confirm they had it, which they did. He transferred the prescription and confirmed it would be ready for pick up in just 15 minutes. This is what service is all about. With CVS and Walgreens having a majority market share in the US, they don't need to have excellent customer service anymore. This goes to show Walgreens made an excellent decision hiring Cuong as he handled the medication request swiftly, professionally and with courtesy. Thank you, Cuong, and thank you, Walgreens for hiring such a competent and thoughtful pharmacist! read more

Be aware when you order online for photos at this location!!! I placed order online and showed my total was $16 using discount code which was applied successfully but in store manager was not gonna honor me the code when I got there to pick up in store and she accused me of using weird websites to order when I told her I went to "Walgreens.com" she charged me full price of $35 even though I showed her my email confirmation she completely ignored it and told me I had to pay in full cz she doesn't recognize the code. I'm a physician and I don't call in prescriptions to frequently however, when my staff has the day off, I am obligated to take care of people and I will tell you this Walgreens has the most passive aggressive, angry female pharmacist I've ever had to deal with. I guess they don't care about customer service or pleasant trees, and sarcasm at the end of a phone call doesn't make up for the passive aggressive attitude. I wish I would've got her name however since Covid, these people are out of control! read more

Despite all of the bad reviews I still stopped by, the pharmacy staff was very polite and my prescription was filled in 30 minutes! I like the convenience of this place being opened 24 hours, specially if you're sick and need medicine at late night hours. The outside of the store looked clean, I didn't go inside because I used tho drive thru. Without insurance prices were decent the pharmacy tech suggested I get an online RX discount card which I did and the final price was very low. This is fairly close to my house, I'll be coming here to fill prescriptions from now on. read more

This was the worst Walgreens I've been to. I walked into the store and there was nobody to be found. Finally after about 10 minutes walking in a kid finally came to the front. I wanted to return an item that didn't fit my daughter and was told that they cannot take returns from other Walgreens. I asked the associate why and she said that's just what her store manager said. So this store seems to make their own rules and inconveniences people. Such a ratchet experience. Don't ever shop at this location. They also should hire staff that actually want to work. Terrible experience. read more

COVID-19 drive thru testing is ONLY in Lane One. I spent some time in Lane 2 without knowing, and this could've saved some time, had I known it. Otherwise, there are two lanes for the Drive-Thru pharmacy. There is a small sign posted outside but it's not as clearly written out. The clerk will give you specific instructions. Just follow them and you'll be fine. You must verify your information. I received my results in less than 48 hours though the clerk states 72 hours. If you are positive, you will get a call. If you are negative, you follow the link in the email. I went inside to see if I could find some allergy tablets for my dog, however, there were many people at checkout and many people at the pharmacy. I did use the ATM near the entrance/exit doors. read more

I went to urgent care and I got a prescription for pickup at this location. When I showed up, I gave them my information and they told me to wait about 30-45 minutes so I go home and come back after 1 hour, just for them to delay everything by another hour and I am typing this as I am still waiting for my prescription. Super unprofessional and if I could not have gotten my prescription today then I would be less upset than I am now. I wish I could rate 0 stars. I will probably be waiting another hour just to get a simple prescription when I could be doing other things. Waste of time and I will never be coming here again, please stay away from here. read more

Beyond hopeless. Put in a request for a refil on Sept 19. Checked and it was still pending on Sept 25. Called the Pharmacy and when I eventually got through was told my physicians office had cancelled the Rx. I then called my physicians office, who said they had done no such thing, but they immediately called in a new Rx request. Over 24 hours later, that is still 'in progress, with zero communication. read more

Hello! I went into this Walgreens location on 12/17 to fill a prescription. As I was waiting for my prescription to be filled I went to purchase some gift cards. The cashier Trudy was rude from the second she walked up. Didn't greet me or anything, just sighed heavily. I handed her a Walgreens gift card for $50. She had to pull off the sticker on the back to activate at the register, but instead of peeling it like the label said, she started scratching at it. She was clearly struggling with it, so I told her I would go get another gift card. She ignored me completely, not listening to me at all. I continued to watch Trudy struggle for another minute. By the time she got to a bar code, the barcode was completely scratched and the back of the gift card was a mess. I told her the gift card was a gift I was giving someone and I couldn't give a person a gift card with the barcode completely scratched from her fingernails. I told her I no longer wanted the gift card and she threw it on the counter and yelled loudly, "I'M DONE!!" I was like, "Excuse me? You completely scratched the barcode off, I can't give that to someone." and then she continues to yell and argue with me to the point where she says, "I've been helping you for thirty minutes!!!" It was literally three minutes tops this transaction happened (maybe less). She was rude, inappropriate and yelled at a loyal Walgreens customer for no reason in front of other customers. She was angry and took it out on a customer because she had no idea how to peel a sticker off the back of the gift card to activate it. She should be written up for how rude and terrible she is at customer service. The District Manager, Store Manager (Shannon) and whoever else need to know how terrible Trudy treats customers. Thank you for taking the time to listen to my experience at Walgreens where Trudy works (6865 W Tropicana Ave, Las Vegas, NV 89103), I sure hope she is spoken to about the way she treats customers. Thank you! read more

This review is for the Pharmacy. I got sick on vacation and my out of state doctor sent over prescriptions. It says the pharmacy received them at 7:05pm. I get there around 7:30 and get in a long line. I talk to the Pharmacist, Tri N. And he says they have not been received and doesn't offer anymore feedback. Literally walks away from me. The person behind me told me he is lying and that she has been there for two hours and that they had her prescription the entire time. I yell over at him and he said he will listen to the voicemail to see if they were called in. He is on the phone for less then 30 seconds and tells me nothing on the voicemails. I step out of line and have to try to get in touch with my doctor again. She said they were sent over and sends me over the proof. She stays on the phone with me and after waiting in the giant line again, he says he doesn't have them. She says she sent them electronically and he was like "you have to call them in" like what, are you not checking your fax or your system? He gave me the pharmacy number so my doctor could call. She calls immediately and hangs up the call with me. I wasn't sure at first if it was her so I just took my seat. Time is going by and there is no update so I get in the still giant line again and he is like "You're killing me!" killing you by following up with my prescription that was sent to you almost two hours ago?! He then picked up the phone and said my doctor had put him on hold. I told him no wonder she did, you've had her on hold for over 20 minutes. She says he is lying. He never spoke to her and so he has a tech come over and ask for my name again and she was like "Oh yeah, we did receive them" Yeah DUH. She said 30 minutes and I asked if she could speed it along since I've been here over an hour. When I am paying for the prescriptions, he comes over to ask if I have any questions. I found it very condescending. My doctor flagged the pharmacist in their system so they could steer people away from using this one and other doctors she knows also try to avoid this pharmacy. Take my advice and go to the other 24 hour pharmacy. The reviews don't lie. read more

I absolutely love this Walgreen on Tropicana. The employees here go above other places I have experienced. When my ankle is broken, someone would carry my stuff to my car! When I couldn't afford my dog medication, the pharmacist called me back to inform me that he had coupons to reduce the cost enough so that I could. When a homeless man was having issues outside the store, they stepped in to help. Very impressive for Walgreens... every one of them should be just like this. read more

Pharmacy staff were awesome and super helpful. There was an issue with our insurance and they called to fix it for us. Medicine was also filled in a timely manner. What happened to the whole thing? Their work performance wasn't this bad before. On the first day, I had to wait for an hour. The second time, I went there because they said on the first day that the prescription will be already ready in about 2 hours, but after waiting for over 40 minutes, the medicine was still not ready. I was told that she would text when I could, so I had to wait for two days. I don't get the text, and I only have one day's worth of medication left. So I called Walgreen and it was already ready. If so, why doesn't TEXT come? ? I can't take it anymore. I'll tell my doctor and ask him to change the pharmacy. read more

The pharmacy here is probably the worst I've ever been to. This has to be the worst unprofessional pharmacy I have ever been to in my life I came here to drop off my prescription. They told me to come back in an hour and a half. It took me about two hours to get back here because I do not live nowhere near this location and I also mentioned that to them, so got back here within the two hours. They told me my prescription was not ready yet that I need to come back in another two hours so I wait and I called them this time to make sure my prescription was ready. They said yes it was ready come on by never mentioned that they take a lunch break at 1 o'clock in the morning, so when I got here they were closed and had to wait another hour to get my prescription. The lady was also very rude and looked at me like I was stupid when I questioned her why it wasn't ready after they had told me it would be ready in an hour and a half very upset with this place probably will never come here again. read more
