Got to be the shittiest Walgreens in town. Can't fill a same day prescription to save their lives and apparently there is no system in place for medications for children or antibiotics to be filled over other prescriptions that just sit in bins for weeks. Also, half the time their system doesn't get faxes from drs. So would give it zero stars if possible. Drive through, hope you got a full tank of gas you'll be there for an hour minimum. Very frustrating experience. Dealing with an eye issue and get two prescriptions from my eye doctor. Hand deliver them to this Walgreens. One is not in stock and the clerk says she will order it and it will be delivered to the store the following day, available at 3pm. It shows delayed the next day still. Then 2 days later it just completely disappears from my profile. I call the pharmacy and the guy tells me "yeah that medication isn't even available anymore, I don't know why she did that". So how did she put in an order for something that doesn't exist? So then I call my eye dr and they write me a new prescription and fax it over. I call this specific pharmacy and ask if it was received and am told yes and that it would be ready specifically at 5:39pm. I come in after 6:30pm and they say it is not in existence. The pharmacist tells me that the techs must have been misinformed and that they need more training and there is nothing to be done until my eye dr opens the next day. I finally ask him to CHECK THE FAX MACHINE. And what would you know, it's sitting there. He doesn't admit wrongdoing, just says sit down and he will help me. Like bro come onnnnnn. read more

I live next to this Walgreens and it is absolutely horrible whenever I have a prescription that needs to be filled. I tell them to fill it. I show up the next day. It's never filled. Tried to call in to see if my prescription was ready because I had to update my insurance, employee who picks up didn't even give me a chance to explain myself. Asked for my DOB gave it to her and told her my name asked for what prescriptions I was waiting for told me that it has to be resubmitted because it was kicking back from the insurance I told her was the information updated on your end with the new coverage placed me on hold came back on the phone and told me the system just went down and asked if I'd like to hold or call back? Terrible location. Every time I stop here at this location (Blue Diamond and Durang) I get approached at the door by a homeless person wanting money. Tonight (4-9-25), I complained to the lady working the register about being hustled every time I shop here and she went into an almost nervous hyperventilating fit about how she can't do anything about it. I mainly went to pick up a cr123 lithium battery which they had. I was hoping to get a quart of E and J Brandy. For some reason that liquor aisle at that location has a hard time keeping stock, hence the four star rating. Had they had my booze I would have given them a five star review. This location is terrible when it comes to picking up any of your prescriptions. This is the second time that I have sat in the drive thru for over 20 minutes just to pick up a prescription. I have never in my life waited this long each time at any pharmacy. When I called the pharmacy while sitting in my car, I told them that I have been waiting for over 20 minutes. All she could say is "we are working as fast as we can". Clearly not my dude. I seldom shop here for anything other than medication that my carrier doesn't directly issue, which is rare. When I do, there is always a problem with the delivery of my prescription(s). I think I've tried 3-4 times in the past year or so, and every time without fail, the medicine fails to be filled promptly. Either they don't care, don't follow up, don't follow through, or don't correctly send the prescription to my carrier. Take your pick; I always have to make at least two trips to this pharmacy to get them filled even though it's less than a mile from my home. Maybe I should count my lucky stars that none of these medications are critical because if they were, I would be livid about how poorly they get handled and how many times I have to call or return to get them filled. As far as the store is concerned, the staff is marginal with their knowledge. And it appears they are always short-staffed. Everyone is always defaulting to someone else to give the correct information, which forces me to wait at the pharmacy window longer than I should. The shelves here seem a bit bare, and the prices in this and other Walgreens stores are astronomical. Anything found here can always be found at another store for significantly less cost. She is rude, abrasive, forgetful, and apparently cannot read prescriptions after she told me my prescription was for 2/3 less than the actual amount. I made an appointment for 12:00 for a flu shot. It's 12:30 and I still haven't been called. If they allowed walk ins and I had been waiting this long I'd understand, but they make you make an appointment. And there are no signs for flu shot check in that causes more delays. My time is valuable, but it seems that Walgreens can't figure that out. Update: When I saw them taking somebody who had arrived after I did I asked about me. I got a snide "you're in line sir" reply from the lead tech. Well it turns out they screwed up and they hadn't done their job and ensured that I was fully checked in and in the system properly. If I hadn't spoken up I would have been sitting there indefinitely. So a full hour after my appointment time I finally got my shot. The whole time the tech is giving me BS excuses, waiting for the "that's OK, these things happen" statement from me. That statement never came. I don't give a damn how busy you were. I get my prescriptions filled here because of insurance reasons or I would go to Walmart. The lines are always insane no matter if you go inside or the drive through. They are always out of stock of medications. Which if your like me, some meds you just can't not have. I've been picking up medications for half my life and I've never seen anything like this place. I have no idea why I still go. It's like I want to give them the benefit of the doubt - that the time before was just a bad day. But every time I go it's the same thing. Incredibly long wait + rude service. Drive up window is four cars deep? You're looking at 45 minutes wait, consistently. And when you get to the front you're getting an attitude. I understand these are difficult jobs, but there is a really easy way to improve the customer and worker experience: be excellent to each other. So after we've waited in line for 30 minutes, when we get to the window, say something nice to defuse the situation. Thank the customer for their patience and loyalty. That's it. That's all it takes. Told my husband that the prescription for our daughter was to strong and that WE needed to contact the doctor's office when they have a much quicker turn around when calling from a pharmacy! Worst pharmacy. I had made an appointment for a Covid Test. Waiting time was a week out but I no longer needed the test. Unfortunately, my brother was feeling symptoms and needed a test. I called and explained the situation then was told to come in, with my brother and information could be changed. We arrived and were told that it could not be done. They kept pushing me to take the test but kept redirecting them to test my brother, who had symptoms and would benefit from the test. I told them I was trying to utilize the test effectively and not allow it to go unused (appointment slot). I even told him we're better going off on swabbing his nose over mine under my name to at least ensure he does not have covid but for tracking purposes, wouldn't do any Justice. I was exploring any option I could with staff but they did not want to help whatsoever. Their only solution was I take the test which brought us back around to my pleas. They asked who I spoke with and like a dum dum, I couldn't remember but provided proof that I called and spoke to someone only to be told it was another Walgreens that I was connected with and to go to them to be able to override even though my test was at the Walgreens I was at. Staff showed no urgency and provided me nothing but a runaround. read more

The store is overall good but the pharmacy is a joke! Drove by the drive through 10 minutes before they closed and one of the workers are standing behind two cars letting people know that they're not taking any more cars... so I went inside grabbed my things from the store that I needed drive back around to leave and has two additional cars in the line. So you couldn't take me but you can take 2 other people... doesn't make much since especially since you close at 9 & decided to close early. I have been using this pharmacy for over 5 years. I have been trying to get my medication filled for a prescription that I have had for over 9 years. Every person I talked to was rude and not helpful at all. I did talk to a pharmacist that was ok but no one had any urgency to help fix the situation. It is now 6 days that I have been going back and forth with the staff and my doctors staff. I spoke with my doctor today he said he called and e scripted the refill and Walgreens now says he denied the medication. I am switching pharmacies.
