Came to Walgreens to get pictures developed. Jeremy G working the photo department was extremely helpful and courteous. He was busy when we arrived but acknowledged us and stated he would be right with us. There were two people behind us and he took his time with us without making us feel rushed. I went to see my doctor because I was moving to another state and wanted to know if I could get refills on five prescriptions...two being allergy meds, one being omega 3, one being a diabetic medicine, one being a sleeping aide. The doctor said that is reasonable and put the refills in. Everyone knows that when you move across country that you need some time to get there, you need time to get your home situated and you need time to find a new doctor/care team. I called the WalGreens on 30th and W Ave L to ensure that they would be able to fill without any issue on the 2nd of June...two weeks from now. They put all through the system except the sleeping aide. Both of my insurances paid and she said I could pick those up on the 2nd of June. She said I needed my doctor to call the pharmacist to discuss the sleeping aide and get approval. I called my doctor and she called the pharmacy to get approval. The doctor's office called back and said that they would not fill my prescriptions because I was moving. A few minutes after getting off the phone with my doctor the pharmacy called and said I was not traveling I was moving and that they would not fill it because it was fraud!!!! I told her it wasn't fraud...I was moving and it would take me several weeks to travel there and get situated with my 82 year old dad who is a Vietnam vet. They had all the prescriptions revoked in the system! I called their corporate office and submitted a complaint. An hour later the pharmacist, Veronica (another employee gave me her name), called me from the store and said she did not understand my complaint. When I explained it to her again she got agitated and said I was making excuses because there are pharmacies where I was going and I could have the refills transferred. I did just get 2 of the meds refilled last week but by the time I get there I will be out and I will have just arrived there. I have never in my life had this issue when moving or traveling with a pharmacy. I explained this to her and she said to have my insurance call her to give approval. When I told her they did that when her employee put it into the system in the first place my insurances approved the travel exemption...that is why they had that. She said it was fraud and hung up on me. This is the worst pharmacy I have ever used. This pharmacist is untrained, rude, and power hungry. Blue Cross federal and Tri care should cancel their contracts with this company. If there are exceptions people can use for traveling there is not reason we should not be able to use them when traveling. read more

I Just left Walgreens at 2840 West Ave L and 30th St. in Lancaster, Ca 93536 store#06017 I Had another bad experience with the pharmacy tech VERONICA. She was very angry and had a very bad attitude and displayed aggressive behavior towards me. She basically threw my daughters prescriptions in the drawer at the drive thru window. She had the pharmacist standing next to her as well displaying poor customer service. I'm not really sure why Walgreens continues to allow this individual VERONICA to provide service to its customers. read more

I truly never comment on businesses because I understand systemically how things work but I have to say, if you want to be made to feel like a drug seeker because you change two medications because of a surgery and trying to find relief with medication; this truly is the spot to go! I understand they have to follow law and speak to providers, but know first hand my doctor has spoke with them and the staff will deny it or then call you a day later to say "okay fine I see it" then make passive aggressive comments then hang up. My own doctor asked me to check in on this last Rx that was sent over and if I had any slack about it to cancel all prescriptions with them and we will start with another pharmacy. read more

So apparently Walgreens pharmacy system has been down for two days now. They didn't bother to contact any anyone to let them know. Unfortunately there were two gentlemen that drove all the way from Boron... and no medication. I'm standing there like why didn't you guys send out a message to people letting them know the situation because now is later in the day and a lot of doctors offices are closing. In addition they're not even able to transfer the prescription to another location so people are actually have to contact their doctor at 4 pm and have them reroute the prescription elsewhere. They have no ETA of when the system is going to be back up which is fine but the failure to communicate that there was a system issue when people need their medicine is unacceptable. This situation could have been managed much better and just like they're back there waiting to fill prescriptions and holding onto a certain prescriptions they should let people know what the situation is so you don't get all the way here just to find out you have no medicine and in fact you need to go get your own prescription yet again. read more

Understaffed They had some hair care products under lock and key, which is fine, but I couldn't get anyone to come unlock the damn thing, even with the store being basically a ghost town Not sure if understaffed or what, but they don't seem to be able to handle what minimal foot traffic still shops there. Last night I was trying to see where to go for photos and my mom suggested Walgreens. I was a lil skeptical because I'm use to Kinko or Walmart. Well I'm happy we went because we had two of the best best employees helping. In photos Jasmine was so helpful I wasn't sure how to use the kiosk or pick the right photo but she was super patient and helpful. I also enjoyed the cashier Jennifer attitude she was also friendly and helpful, both of these ladies didn't know how bad or sad my day was but the Customer service from them made my night!! read more

Youlanda is a very rude "manager". Her demeanor from the beginning was off. I was trying to do 2 separate transactions and didn't mention anything about coupons and she already was telling me "our store policy allows us to do only 2 transactions with coupons" then I said okay that's fine. Then I noticed the deal they were having for Cerave was bogo 50% and it wasn't applying so she already seemed irritated that I'm trying to understand why this deal is not working. Anyway long story short I told her she's being rude and that I ask for a manager and told me she is the manager. And I said well I'll be leaving the store then. Shortly after I walked out the store a lady had called out to me and said "I agree she is very rude and I always try to say hi to her but she's just always rude" Whatever happened to great customer service. I went in with my photos pre-edited and ready to go. No problem. When I came back to pick up the girl handing me my photos rang me up without showing them to me. I wanted to look at them before buying and the young lady relented, but kept encouraging me to hurry up. When I got home I realized why. The 11x14 misprinted and smudged a part of the bottom. There was also a bent corner where someone handled the photo a lot. $30 mistake to let her rush me instead of checking properly. read more

Just beware that if you drop a disposable camera off at the location, you will be charged "roughly" $14-$15 per camera. It's not per photo. I was charged $31 for 44 (4X6) photos. Nothing more nothing less. I was responded with the company charges around that price per camera and I had two of them. The manager also informed me that they can't tell you a definite price because they don't know if the company will charge you. Tried to get a refund for it and the he didn't try to help me. So I filed a complaint against his store. ‍ Got my money back anyway. Never loose your cool people. Work smarter not harder. read more

I went to Walgreens today during my lunch thinking i was only going to go and order 24 4x6 photos and pick them up after I got off work but boy was I wrong. I went in and was greeted by David in the photo department and he helped me the whole way. I was in and out with my pictures in my hands within 15 minutes. Really bad service I was picking up my package from Fedex at this location. I showed tracking # and provided my DL and a change of address card from the DMV showing my new home address. He said that this was not valid since my new address is on another document and not my ID. I argued with him that my address is valid because the change of address is a valid document. I told him when my license renews my address will be changed on my new DL. I just can't believe these guys are not trained at all by Fedex or Walgreens. I will not route my packages to them anymore or even bother shopping there. read more

Twas the night before Christmas, and all presents are wrapped. The brother-in-law is coming in the morning, we have no gifts, oh crap. Where do you go when you are in a pinch? I don't want to look like an angry little Grinch. My daughter wakes up, with a terrible cough. It's 2 in the morning on Christmas Eve, and all bets are off. I get dressed and drive and what do I see? The one store that is open, and its called Walgreens!!! Who would have thought they would have been open that late Christmas Eve? I was able to get little stocking stuffers, a few little gifts, wrapping paper, and ribbon. I was also able to get Children's Advil, and Mucinex for kids. The customer service here was top notch, considering, I know they couldn't have wanted to work that night, or morning. But there they all were, helping me find what I needed to make my daughter feel better, as well, as get a few little things for the kids, and the new brother-in-law. If I just could have bought a bottle of Scotch or Tequila to help me sleep that night, it would have been perfect, but I don't push it after 2am. Walgreens is the worst pharmacy around. Unfortunately I have Walgreens as my part D Medicare carrier (not after October). Was in hospital for knee surgery & was given prescriptions for pain medication. Three Walgreens pharmacies within 4 miles of my house none had pain medication. Five days later none had it yet. No overnight service I guess. If you need a control substance drug just sit and wait one day it might show up. Corporate office doesn't care. DO NOT use Walgreens as your part D provider. . read more

After calling around the AV (Antelope Valley) on a stat holiday (because it was my only day off) AND having the Walgreens nearest me have a "technical print issue" I was finally able to get my Canadian passport photos done at this location store #6017 at Avenue L in Lancaster. I was helped by Jeremy, and he knew exactly what to look for when taking my passport photo. Other places like CVS would tell me that they can't do Canadian passports. The process with Jeremy at Avenue L Walgreens was so easy...I was in and out in a matter of minutes. And he was careful to ensure that everything from the photo itself to the label on the back was correct and met Passport Canada standards. As a bonus he was able to recommend the nearest Bank of America ATM too! :) read more

Walgreens Pharmacy Staff are the very best, their attention to detail, EXCELLENT pharmacists on staff led by Thein, assisted by Gus and Sherri and several others whose names escape me for the moment. Their personalized attention and oversight has caught physician errors in medicine mixes, and dosages. Thank goodness for them! I know several of my doctors who call there for advice/recommendations. I trust this Walgreens Pharmacy team completely, they insure I am well taken care of. Walgreens on L is probably the best Walgreens in the AV. The staff here is prettey awesome and always willing to help. I had been visiting to East Lancaster location for a while and I was never offered coupons by the beauty department like I was offered at this location. Thats right, on top of their already low prices, this location keeps a book off additional manufacture coupons and the beauty counter for additional savings. I thought that was so great! In addition, the employees were helpful in finding me the best available products and their prices are great! read more

I have had (2) separate situations with there pharmacists each different and both Bad. my last experience and my biggest concern for all people, especially the elderly. PLease count your pills issued right there before you walk away from the counter. I called very ill with a migraine and they were very aware I was sick, I was called to pick up medication and did so but did drive thru never looking at bottles! well as it turned out we noticed not only was I shorted pills but they had not circled the number on the bottle showing it had been verified by another pharmacist! I have called and they say they will return money? NO what about the elderly who don't realize whats going on? I want there corporate office to review the film where they did the prescription and report back to me as I'm perfectly aware of what they did! Please be careful here. This location is right by my house and covenient for when I realize I need something and they most likely have it. I have been pretty happy with most of my purchases there that included items like a really funny hat for my boyfriend, toys for his kids, and other odds and ends. I was especially happy with my stove burner that plugs in. It works great for my hookah's charcoal. The only thing I am disappointed with is I bought one of their hello kitty pools for my boyfriend's daughter and soon as we tried to fill it with water there was a hole. I took it back right away and received a full refund. I will still go here for future shopping needs but I may be careful of what I purchase. read more

I bought other items and did not think about how much I paid at the register when I looked at the receipt days later the first concealer was $8.79 and the second was $4.39 . Seriously gone down hill as far as the Rx and the overall customer service. Don't get me wrong - I've always had great interactions with the employees, but there is rarely anyone at the photo/pickup counter in the back. The pharm people are always nice, too, but it's MURDER to try to get scripts filled there. We have had them give us the wrong meds (they blamed doc, doc blamed them), filled the wrong Rx (as in right patient, wrong Rx needed at that time - EX: we have a year's worth of one BP pill and none of the other), had multiple calls from the automated system that turned out to be incorrect (i.e. we drove the 30 miles to pick up and were told it was a mistake and we should always call....why have the automated system then?), and constantly had old insurances and docs contacted and rightfully denied for current meds prescribed from new docs under new insurance. It's frustrating to say the least. And contact between the pharmacy and docs seems to be almost nil. I get that one of my doc's offices are kind of bad about being timely with picking up or returning calls because they are with patients as well, but I find it odd that every single one of the docs we've been to in the last couple of years (Pediatrician, pediatric otrho, GP, OB/GYN, allergist, ortho surgeon, ER, etc.) are ALL just terrible at that stuff when the common thing is Walgreen's. Maybe I'm wrong, but the lack of helpfulness or ever addressing things like the random calls from the automated system starts to wear thin. We ended up moving some of my parents' RX to another, closer Walgreens (the one on N & 50th) and it was even worse because 90% of the employees there are rude and incompetent - as in we had 5 trips over the course of 2 weeks and up to 3 automated phone calls per day at one point to get my dad's thyroid meds that he's been on for a decade and the chick there had the balls to tell us it was our own fault for not waiting for the right employee to come back from vacation. So, I give the staff at the L & 30th store 2 thumbs up, but they need to get some of this stuff fixed! And I give a bug F-off to some of the employees over on N & 50th LOL read more

I often go to this pharmacy as it is right down the street from my home, it's a great place to go to for good deals, snacks, last minute gifts etc. But tonight really takes the cake, my four year old and I had to go to the dentist today and after we had to run a million errands but my son was so incredibly upset and in pain. As soon as I walked in I knew we'd have to be there for at least 30 minutes (or so I thought) but this ANGEL of a person named Sherry greeted me with a great big smile and said "Just walk around a bit hun, I'll have it out for you soon." If you only knew after the great day of riding buses with two little ones and feeling like the worst mom of the year what that meant to me! I walked around for maybe ten minutes came back and she had it filled. I call that above and beyond customer service.
