Although there are more then 6-7 people work there at a time in a small pharmacy, you want to be extra careful with your meds. I called them couple of times explaining as clearly as possible, that I m coming out of the dentist office and I m waiting for my pain medication... She said ok "wait let me go ahead and process your medication" when I got there and picked up the meds thinking its my pain meds, instead picked up medication that had nothing to do with the dentist. The medication they gave me was similar looking to ibuprofen (on the label) and was very close to doubling down on them thinking its the pain meds for my tooth. Intentional or not, this type of stuff happened before in this location. I am a very good judge of character and both times (when I first called to check if they got the paperwork, and later when I called to explain that they gave me the wrong medication from a different office) it was the same lady answering my calls. Very strange and noteworthy. She sounded to me very manipulative, talking over me so I wouldn't finish my thoughts to clearly explain the situation. Idk, its weird and little scary to think that someone might wittingly' or not maim you and convince everyone including herself that it was an accident. Trust me it is not that hard to genuinely care and hear when the customer says more then just once that "I just came out of the dentist office and calling for my ibuprofen or pain meds." I can't imagine myself working for a pharmacy and miss such an important piece of information and confuse my customer, never. I made a habit of being extra careful and clear here, because of this uneasy feeling in this city to begin with and yet again.... Drug overdose is a real thing and often deadly. Be careful and always double, triple check your meds. Doesn't matter how clearly you communicate, especially when you visit them medicated you are most vulnerable for misguidance. As to the pharmacy, please don't hire manipulative and cynical people that might misguide others simply because they feel that they can. Which if I may add, might amount to gang-stalking' given the location and general type of the residence. you have a responsibility to your customers. read more

Wish I didn't have to even give one star. The pharmacist is the rudest person I have encountered in the medical field - she is on a complete power trip! I'm not getting into my whole story - should say stories - it is just too upsetting for me - I have complained several times and she still is so mean and unethical. I'm going to take this a step further this should not be happening to people - she had me in tears today! I can see why the rite aids are going out of business- no surprise! Horrible pharmacy and pharmacist. Several times I've gotten the wrong Rx. Luckily I noticed before taking. When I went back the pharmacist tried to make it seem like it was my fault. How!?!?! She filled the bottle!! I will never go back. Don't risk losing your life because rite aid hires uneducated pharmacy staff. This location should be closed. I would give 0 stars if I could. The pharmacist is the most insulting person I have even met. She is on a power trip. My doctor filled my sleeping pills for 90 days (instead of the usual 30 days) as I was going to be out of the country. This pharmacist request proof of my travel documents. I made a special trip to show them to her. She was not even there. I had another pharmacist look at my airline tickets so she could tell her. When the power tripping pharmacist came in she called me and told me should would NOT fill my prescription because I "could be selling them". WHAT?? I am so insulted. I am a local business owner and have never given any reason to think that my medication is not for my use. I am filing a discrimination complaint against her. This woman should not be working with the public. I had my doctor change my prescription to another pharmacy and it was filled immediately. The new pharmacist told me there is a data base where you can check and see someone's prescription back ground and mine was spotless. No reason to cause any red flags. This pharmacist at Rite Aid is just a power freak. I will never go back and pulled all of my families prescriptions from this crazy pharmacists. The drive thru pharmacist was rude. Also, if you are going to designate one lane for drop offs and one for pick ups, please mark the lanes as such. I understand that your prescriptions might not be ready when the doctor prescribing them states it's ready for pick up because they are already prepackaged and boxed (no prepping involved), but to just say " Have you been to Rite Aid? Then you should know it's over an hour and you wait until you receive a text telling you it's ready" is beyond rude. I responded not so nicely after that, I admit. I was prescribed this because my doctor determined I was at risk of developing a more serious condition that could result in hospitalization or death. Who knows if my prescription will be filled here at this point. My mother had issues filling a prescription here too when she broke her leg. Never giving them anymore business whatsoever. read more

Requested assistance in finding an item (never been in this store before). Got a "it's over there in the corner" and a vague wave of the hand. Took awhile to find what we were looking for, but finally did locate it. The cashier was average, not rude, but not welcoming either. Now, the security guard - he was awesome! Rite Aid is not my normal pharmacy that I use, but this was the closest one to the ER I was being released from. So I have a few prescriptions that I need them to fill for both my husband and myself. I have used their delivery service once before. I received to msgs back to back, one for my hubby, the other for myself. I called and asked that all prescription please be delivered. A pharmacy rep called me back to let me know the delivery co they used said I was one mile outside their delivery zone on 20 miles. I told her they have delivered before, that's how I knew they have that option available. She said they app/program they use will not accept for delivery. I thanked her, hung up and immediately checked Waze, Google maps and direction through Yelp, 17 miles away. Not 21 miles. I called back and let the rep know this delivery co has delivered to us before and that three different navigation apps are saying I'm 17 miles away and could I please speak to a manager to see how I can go about getting our meds delivered. I even told her, if I needed to, how could I go about getting my prescription transferred to a Rite Aid closer to my home. It is still going through Rite Aid and they are still the same delivery co that will have to bring my meds anyway. This is bad customer service to Rite Aid customers. Iman in the pharmacy helped me, she called to advocate for us and was able to get the delivery co to go ahead and same day deliver to us! Way to go Iman! Thank you so much for going above and beyond for your pharmacy customers! It is deeply appreciated and made a not so good day much better. Do not come here if you are in pain! Even if your prescription is sent digitally from the emergency room or from a Dr it will not be prepared for hours!! Dont assume they will fill it and show a couple hours later. They will tell you it is busy. They dont need your money!! They are busy!! Find a smaller pharmacy or a larger one somewhere else. There is no priority for emergency or pain! If there is a problem with the prescription you wont be called. You'll be made aware when you show to pick it up and you will be made to wait 30-45 minutes longer. The delivery service will deliver it but you must stay home all day because they can't tell you a good window when it will be delivered and they will not leave it at your door no matter what it is anymore. They wont deliver to me anymore because they changed their policy and didn't let me know. They used to leave it at your door but they wont any longer without communication. So mow I am on a do not deliver list. Everything at this pharmacy is a hassle so just avoid it. read more

J and they advised me I was on J and 15th St, I went outside and looked at the building and guess what the address was 1356 W. J. I just have to say that I have been going here for a while and all the cashiers and staff and pharmacists are always so pleasant and caring! I wish I could name them all because I literally know all of them but I just had surgery and even before that they take such good care of me! Whomever does the hiring has done a great job! Not to mention they have to often deal w the worst of worse since they are directly across from av hospital so they need to be recognized! This is about the 7th time I walk into this Rite Aid to get me some delicious thriftys ice cream and half if not most of the ice cream flavors that they have as options are not there. So if you want to get the ice cream flavor you want I recommend you wake up at the crack of dawn and go in they second they open their doors, because the rest of the day they won't have anything. read more

The only good thing here is the ice cream. DO NOT PRINT PHOTOS HERE. I have tried on multiple occasions to get photos printed here on their self-service machines (its right across the street from where I have some meetings, curse it's "convenience"). The first time, it took me 30 minutes to even get their ancient machines to recognise any USB device, but the cords were so worn out I had to hold both connections and try to use the touch screen with my pinky. At least that time it worked. Crunched for time, haha, I picked this place again for its geographical convenience. An hour later, I am currently "inconveniencing" an employee who is trying to find more paper for the machine, which when she opened, looked like it hadn't been cleaned or serviced in years. I would leave except it managed to print a part of my order and now I at least have to pay for those; mind you, I ordered 6 photos... It took 3 employees to notice I had a issue (I stood calmly in line, but since I wasn't checking out, I kept getting passed along. So I stood back by the photo center with my now crying baby, and it wasn't until a shift change that anyone offered "help". 2001 called, it wants it's photo printer back. If you can't manage to keep them stocked and running, don't offer the service! Add that to unhelpful customer service and I'm not coming back here for anything but ice cream. Ive been coming here for the past year and spending plenty of money.I had a issue with getting incorrect change back,The amount was 10 dollars when i noticed it i immediately called and the lady said come in tomorrow.I go in and this guy who i later found out his name is Eddy takes my receipt and leaves me at the front for about 15 minutes.He comes back out and says he cant help me,Now mind you i go to this store everyday and never laid eyes on this chump.Probally because he just sits in the office.I wont go to this store anymore i will go to walgreens instead.I dont like being treated like a criminal,I work everyday and have lived in the AV all my life. read more

These idiots never have my medications in stock when I call for refills, gastric medication, beta blockers, & tonight was the worst came home opened up a bottle within a bottle so you can't see the pills and guess what NO seizure medications inside. The store is overpriced and food items are far out of date. The pharmacy has some of the worst service I have ever encountered anywhere. If they tell you a prescription will be ready in two hours, don't expect it to be ready before 3 days have passed. They routinely screw up which Rx you are picking up if you have multiple Rxs with them. They will refuse to refill your Rxs due to insurance reasons but not tell you that until you have been told to come back every day for two weeks. Well I always shop at this rite aid because its the only one on the west side of Lancaster. Every time I go the employees are always rude, seems that they hate their job, they rarely greet customers. I decided to transfer from the Canyon Country location to this one since I just moved out to the AV. Bad decision. Waited 19 minutes in a line to pick-up my medication. One of the clerks was totally rude and acted like I was annoying her for wanting to ask the pharmacist something about a new medication. I'm sorry, but whether you're busy or not, you need to give each customer courteous service and not make them feel like they're putting you out. The pharmacist was kind, but sadly that didn't outweigh the harm the clerk did. There were several homeless people loitering out in front that can make people feel uncomfortable, too. read more
