I'm not sure why it has a 1.7/5 rating. It boggles my mind. Makes me think people are either Karen's or are entitled and don't know what an actual terrible store looks like. I am used to the Walgreens in River Forest and the CVS inside target in Oak Park (I'm from Hinsdale but was living out there for a while and just moved back to this area. It's like night and day. My meds are usually ready same day. Not the next day, after I put my order through in the morning or even 2 days later. You can actually talk to a friendly pharmacy team instead of only leaving a message and then if working miss the phone call back (Again like CVS does). Things aren't all locked behind glass. There is no monotone or bad attitude riddled staff members checking you out or at the pharmacy. This Walgreens is fantastic and has always helped me and been patient with my sometimes dumb questions simply out of reassurance since my experience with other pharmacies was so bad. People don't understand how good they have it. The staff will actually ask you if you need help if you look lost or confused about where something is. Instead of avoiding you on purpose and taking an entire 10 mins after hearing the "assistance needed" call to certain aisles. The overall rating is misleading. Whoever made it that way has to be an entitled a-holes who expect a standing ovation every time they enter the store. Check yourselves. This Walgreens is great. read more

I have already transferred all of our prescriptions somewhere else but we had an emergency and had to go to an immediate care for my wife. And hey sent he script. to his store. So I called and spoke to Jessica and she told me it will be ready in one hour. When I hung up I told my wife watch and see how once again they will come up with an excuse why they can't do their job and it won't be ready. I waited two hours and went through the drive up and guess what... I was given an excuse why it wasn't ready. I asked why and I was told they were understaffed I told them they been understaffed for a year and a half and then asked if Jessica knew they were understaffed and she said yes and then I asked to speak to Marina, when she came to the window I told her who I was and said once again your store failed to do its job she shook her head and said she is canceling my prescription. One hour later I get a call from the doctor's office and the person tells me a very unprofessional pharmacist called Hera d told her they do not have the medication. When I told her how I was treated and she lied about it I was advised to contact the pharmacy board and register a formal complaint on Marina because she shouldn't pick and choose who's prescriptions she wants to fill. She also told me she should not play games with people's health and is shocked by her conduct. If you been rudely treated by Marina or her staff like described by dozens of other yelpers I suggest you contact Walgreens corporate and let them know. read more

The pharmacy is getting worst, not better. They do have a few pharmacists that are very helpful and really care for us customers. I witnessed something yesterday that I never saw coming. I got to pharmacy right at opening time, trying to pick-up some meds my doctor called in. There was a young lady awaiting the opening before I got there, she said about 40 minutes waiting. She was told to come back in about an hour as they were working on overnight scripts. Why not take care of her as she is right in front of you and pick-ups could wait a few minutes. It was a power play from the tech that was working the front counter, I do not know her name. My question is if you open at 9am, why not have all computers up and running before you open the counter, maybe get there a few minutes early to turn all required computers then. Then came my orders, I was at counter the day before and told it would be some time before they could fill orders, so I said I am not in a rush, and would come back tomorrow. The tech told me nothing was filled, and they did not have some of the meds I needed. Why tell someone to come back in an hour if you did not have my items? Maybe it is time to change over to other pharmacy that can help better, and I have Walgreen's stock in our investments. read more

I'm not sure what it is about this location, but every person working there is always angry. They speak rudely to customers and never know what is going on with pickups at the photo center or drive thru. We have only lived here a little over a month and every counter we have had get has been negative. read more

Called for a refill of a necessary Rx. I was told it would be ready by noon. Spent 15 mins waiting in drive thru as inside there was a line of seven people and not enough seating. Finally, it was my turn at the window. I was told Rx was not ready; it was 3:30, three and a half hours later than stated time. Tech said it would be another ten minutes to fill. She comes back with Rx, but with only 5 pills because they had run out. She charged $2 and said new shipment should arrive next day. Update: Picked up the rest of the Rx today. I was charged $36 for the 85 pills, which has gone up since last fall. When I asked how much was the total cost for 90 pills, I was told $36. So now, I had to pay an extra $2 because they had run out of the medication. Does this make sense? read more

For downtown LaGrange, having your own parking is something special. It's not the easiest to get in or out of but it's not terrible. There are 15 min parking spots on the slight side (near the tracks) as well if you just need to hope in really quick. I just tend to avoid downtown LaGrange for the traffic and no parking. The store itself is good, smaller but good. They do also have a drive-thru pharmacy. read more

I have been going to that Walgreens for about 10 years now and after today, I will never step foot in that Walgreens again. Some of the employees there are horrible. Last year I walked into the store to get a drink which my other buddy who was a teenager. The manager proceeded to come up to us since we were teenagers and asked if we were buying anything and before we answered told us to get the *uck out if we weren't. Today I went in trying to pick up a picture I ordered online which I had already put my debit card in the website and when I got there one lady took 10 minutes to find my picture. She told me to come back later and then I said it should be here. She called her manager and he found it in a minute. All in all just not a good place to get to anymore and would much rather just go to jewel or Marianos. read more

I used to love the pharmacy here but I had an incredibly unsettling interaction with a new pharmacy tech I hadn't seen before that made me feel unsafe getting my medication here. It was a younger Hispanic man, he threw and cracked my new ID. He requested my ID for medicine that was not a controlled substance, I believe to retaliate against me. I began receiving spam texts and threatening messages from anonymous social media accounts after this interaction. He was not wearing a name tag, which I think was an attempt to willfully avoid repercussions for these actions. This person should not be dispensing or handling medication. I'm incredibly uncomfortable that this person is working in my community and will have to pursue this with corporate as well. read more

I haven't been to this location in a while, but I had to pick up my year Christmas cards. So off my son and I went. The snow had started falling and there was a Salvation Army bell ringer outside, definitely Christmasy! We went straight to the photo counter, and the associate working there was very personable. He apologized that people were not receiving "your photos are ready" emails, and then he caught that my cards did not contain envelopes. A very professional gentlemen. Walgreens is always full of tochkis and a bin full of Ty characters definitely caught my son's eye. I do like to wander around and browse during the holiday season, and Walgreens allows me to get my fix. read more

If I could give their pharmacy 0 stars I would, my husband takes a monthly maintenance drug that they never have in stock but the real issue is that they don't call him to let him know that. Their system indicates "waiting on insurance" which makes no sense as the medication is covered by insurance. My husband ends up making multiple phone calls to determine what's happening. Today is now the second time in a row this has happened so now I'll be reaching out to Corporate. The pharmacy staff is in need of a good audit and additional customer service training...we are going to take this medication elsewhere to be handled appropriately. read more

They really need to hire more people. Picking up prescriptions takes 40 mins i the drive through. I forgot my mask at home and was u able to go inside. This is my third time coming this month and each car takes an excess of 10-15 mins. Just to pick up a prescription. Super Star: Lucy! You get what you pay for. I'm a local, support local business as much as possible. This location is just like any other Wal-greens. I will say, I typically do not review corporate locations because they already have enough business. This review is for one special associate, Lucy. For some reason whenever I go in there, that wonderful lady seems to be working. She is patient and kind. She is great at her job!!! I hope a manager sees this review because I was so bothered by the way ANOTHER employee treated Lucy one evening last week. I believe it was Sunday or Monday. You see, the chip on my card wasn't working. Lucy patiently allowed me to exhaust other options, during the last try, her line had accumulated more customers, this young-light-blonde-light-eyed-about-5'5 male associate hoped on register, but before he could help any bit of the predicament and do his job, he called out her name "Lucy!", in a loud and annoyed manor. Listen I don't care if that was the manager, the tone in his voice calling out her name BEFORE helping a guest, or even asking "Lucy, how can I help?", left me feeling bad for Lucy, because it wasn't her fault at all that my payment methods weren't cooperating. At that point, his tone even jumbled the guest behind me, whom I had complemented upon my arrival m within minutes of walking into the store. Who would of known, that sweet soul would save us all and offered to pay cash for my purchases that evening when my card had a chip malfunction. The 5 is for Lucy. To that ignorant employee, who caused an obnoxious startle, instead of offering assistance; think before you speak!!! And be kind to everyone you meet. read more

The Walgreens pharmacy on La Grange Rd is one of the worst I've seen. I've been there three times to pick up meds but the lines are so long I give up. Three cars in drive through and twenty-one minutes later I'm still sitting there -- have not moved!! Line in store is down the aisle! And this is not the first time I've encountered this. It's ridiculous!! We will end up moving our scripts -- the customer service here is terrible. read more

The pharmacy at this location regularly is out of pediatric medications. They take over 4h to fill prescriptions. If you call to check on your medicine they either do not answer the phone or be prepared to wait on hold on average 45 mins. Several times I had to call the store number and ask to speak with the manager to let them know I cannot get a hold of the pharmacy. The drive thru line is always about 8 cars long. Another time they sent me to the Hinsdale location to pick up a pediatric medicine and when I got there, the Hinsdale Walgreen's informed me they did not have the medication either and that the LaGrange Park location should have called them and made sure they had it. To quote the Hinsdale location, "We're very sorry but we have no idea why they would send you here." read more

The pharmacy at this Walgreens is awful. I have had numerous strange experiences there for a couple years. They frequently do not have my prescription in stock. My poor physician has to constantly call this Walgreens to explain his own prescriptions. My doctor is extremely busy and should not have to call my Walgreens. I'm a licensed healthcare provider myself and the staff has the nerve to lie to me and not follow pharmaceutical guidelines in place by IDPH. It's Walgreens responsibility to provide pharmaceutical care to the public. The pharmacists have always been helpful and responsible to me. The pharmacist techs are very rude and don't comply with IDPH guidelines. The men pharmacist techs are competent and kind. But there are a few women techs just flat out don't care about their job. I complained to Walgreens about this and sadly got a fake apology which made me feel like a not valued costumer. The next time I see my physician I will be transferring my prescriptions to Jewel Osco. I shouldn't have to deal with drama just picking up medication. My son and I were in dire need of passport photos for the each of us. I took myself and my son to go get one for the each of us. We both got our photos and took them to the post office a week later to get them filed with our passports. When we got to file them, the lady at the post office told us that we couldn't use the photos. You would think that Walgreens would know how to do passport photos! We had to get them taken at the post office and it was very inconvenient. Such a disappointment! read more

I don't know what Lucy's issue was, however, she was very rude, obnoxious and disgusting. I honestly do not understand what's so hard about customer service. Speak to everyone, don't ignore anyone, don't stop ringing up a customer to help the next person in line, etc. I really didn't think it was that hard, but there's Lucy making it hard. First, I walk in not being greeted to, which was fine. I'm not there to be greeted, even though she literally greeted everyone else that walked in after me. Then when I got to the register there was a guy in front of me. Lucy sneezed in her hands twice. I saw snot. Yes! I thought to myself obviously she's going to wipe her hands & use sanitizer before she touches my things, right? Wrong! She immediately started ringing up my food with snotty hands. Like I saw actually mucus on her hand. Then she didn't greet me, just finished helping the previous customer and started on my things without saying a word or even acknowledging me. At that point, I had already knew I wasn't going to pay for that because I don't want any of Lucy's disgusting germs on my food. Then, an employee who was behind her the whole time(he spoke to me) started to assist a lady in back of me to which Lucy stopped ringing my things up to help him help her. She literally stopped, just like in the middle of ringing my 3 items up, got distracted with helping the next customer and just stood there as if I wasn't there, turned her back to me and everything, as if I had disappeared. I pushed my items closer to her and told her that these were my things too and that they needed to be rung up. She started ringing them up and then just stopped and stared at me. Saying absolutely nothing. Crickets. I'm waiting for the credit card pad which tells me to wait for the cashier. At this point, I'm frustrated. I look at her like 'um, aren't you supposed to do something?' She looks at her register and pushes a button, then throws her arms up as if to say 'are you happy now?' At that point, I just told her she was rude and nasty. I don't know what it was about me that she just didn't like, not that I care, but It was as if she saw me as her worst enemy. I don't know if I intimidated her or what. I literally just wanted some snacks and she made it so hard for me. LOL. Hopefully, she's either changed her attitude or is gone. I live in Lagrange and I will be frequenting there often so, Lucy, if you're reading this, it's already documented, ok? Speak to your customers and wash your hands. Waiting on an rx for over 45 min when it was supposed to be worked on next. I finally pull into pharmacy drive thru line at 12:55. there is a car being waited on. They happy to pull out at 12:59, with me pulling in. The lady puts the Lunch sign up 1-1:30. Terrible customer service. I have never complained even though each Rx takes forever to wait for. My fiancé and I love the Walgreens Lagrange,IL we usually go there about 2 times a week and we're always checked out by the cashier Lucy. Lucy is a GREAT cashier and has a bubbly personality. My fiancé and I always joke with her about bringing her a new car. Unfortunately, we were extremely disappointed in how an manager treated Lucy on 10/26/18 around 9:36pm. We were walking towards the line and seen Lucy restocking the shelves like an employee who doesn't have customers should do. The manager was very irate and told Lucy to stop what she's doing and hurry up and go to the other count. I think it was very unprofessional and rude of her to yell and say that in the manner that she did. This location in LaGrange is one of the best ones I've been to and not dealing with customers being rude by holding lengthy conversations. I also like how there are no homeless congregating and harassing customers for change. I'll be coming often when I need something for work or have a question to ask the pharmacist. Although, I am a huge fan of this location, the people that work there at times can be kind of snotty to you and they don't always respect you. I've been patient with this pharmacy's excessively long lines this whole time because of COVID, but the disorganization and straight up lying is unacceptable. The other day I was told my daughter's medicine would be ready at 8:30 PM. I return and they claim that they said it'd be ready in the morning. They sold me an over-the-counter version for one--which if that's what they were planning on doing idk why that wasn't done hours ago. I sent my husband to pick up the second which was supposed to be ready by 10:30 AM the next day at 8PM and they still didn't have it. They sold my husband an over the counter "same thing" at a huge price difference. How're you going to tell a customer that a product sold for 1.66 a mL is the same as 4.68 a mL? Plus it was 3.24 mL not the 50 mL prescribed. Multiple times I tried to call to see if it was filled with no answer. I had a cashier pretend to be the general store manager. I finally left my breastfeeding baby at home to go have a 5 minute conversation one morning after being on hold for 40 minutes (I called as soon as the store opened) just to have a tech argue with me that 3.24 mL is the same as 50 mL, that I actually got a better deal, and that there is no way I had been on hold for 40 minutes because the store had only been open for 40 minutes. Save yourself the time and go somewhere that has their pharmacy is order. read more

This Walgreens has to be the best because of the doll that is Robin who always takes good care of me and my family in the Cosmetics and Beauty section! She even made sure to give us some extra coupons for our purchases and is always so patient with us. She even remembered us from our last trip. Not my choice for a pharmacy. I would stay clear. My mom went to this pharmacy to drop off a prescription for my brother after his Dentist appointment, he had a high fiver and was in pain from an infection. at 5:51pm. I was driving from Schaumburg, IL to meet them for dinner. She had told me pharmacist said prescription would be ready within hour and a half. I got to Walgreens early and went to Trader Joe's at 6:53. After I walked over to Walgreens assuming that his prescription would be ready. It was not. She had been sitting in the store the entire time. My mom being a diabetic and not having eaten yet was upsetting. As she got into the line of people to see if the prescription was ready at 7:30. The girl behind counter said it would be ready in another hour and half. That the prescription was checked in at 7. Which was a lie. Also, even though she was still waiting inside and sitting in waiting area. They had the nerve to call her, that it wouldn't be ready to pick up until tomorrow. When the pharmacist himself was just few feet away from her. She could hear him in ear distance talking to her on phone. I am sure he could do the same. My poor brother sitting in the car in pain and feverish, contributes why I am writing this review. It is extremely disappointing to know, that the pharmaceutical staff are rude. They should be more empathetic. The staff should not give customers a hard time or attitude, and except the fact that mistakes are made within their own staff at times. And work with the situation they have at hand. read more

I like this Walgreens because I appreciate the pharmacy staff. Even when they're busy and a bit harried, they've all been friendly and helpful. I used Web Pickup, when it existed a lot, and the clerks at the photo counter who ring up those orders were very pleasant. It's a standard Walgreens, of course, and a smallish one, but it works for me. It's also on my way home from the train at La Grange Road, which makes it very convenient. read more

I have had terrible experiences with this pharmacy repeatedly. Most recently, I was told that my insurance company switched my prescription to a non-generic and I must "owe them money". I didn't get the 'script. Then, when I spoke to my insurance company, they called the pharmacy & come to find out, the pharmacy took it upon themselves to change my prescription to a different medication (not covered) because they did not have my 'script in stock. I received no call informing me of this, and then was told basically it was my fault my prescription changed. This, in addition to not being greeted, and the pharmacist I was interacting with being incredibly rude & unhelpful. I will not be returning. read more

The pharmacy tech is very rude. The whole 30 second conversation was him telling me what I needed and what he'd already (which was unnecessary by the way) instead of listening to my concerns. The tech proceeded to rush me off the phone telling me I didn't need to call him because the prescription I ordered needed doctor's approval when I was trying to refill a completely different prescription. I literally had to interrupt him to tell him that I switched providers and updated my insurance online so that my medicine could finally be processed. I've done this before with other techs so I did not think it was an issue. However, he got even more irritated with me inquiring about the medicine I'm paying for and told me to bring in the updated card and hung up on my face. True unprofessionalism. read more

Don't be fooled! Nice appearance, well kept, and overall clean. Management on the other hand is bad. I worked there for a week and I quit! On my first day of training I was with this one women who was very rude to the customers and me, she yelled at me in front of customers and left customers walking out of the store mad. Also she referred me as a "her" when I'm clearly a guy! Unacceptable! Went to mgmt and they did nothing about it even though they said there are several complaints about her! When I called to quit my job I got ahold of one of the managers and politely said that something with college had came up and I was going to pursue it. I know you're suppose to give a 2 week notice, but this thing called for me right away and it's EDUCATION! Instead of her being understanding as I mentioned to her during the interview that college wasn't out of the picture, she was very rude and I'm glad that I made my decision. I am a frequent Walgreens shopper but avoid this particular store. The staff are rude and obviously have never been trained to handle customers or have knowledge of their merchandise. I have lived in LaGrange for 35 years but go out of my way to shop at other Walgreens in other towns because this store is so bad and always has been. I made the mistake of trying this store again. I was so mad by the time I left that I put back $50 worth of merchandise and drove right to the local Jewel/Osco in the neighborhood and spent over $50 there. The management in this store needs to wake up!! Never Again!! This store does not deserve the 1 Star I am forced to give it! read more
