I've tried topical and pill antibiotics, every over-the-counter anti-acne system, every system you order over the TV or from a family friend ... nothing made a dramatic impact on my skin. A family friend who saw Steven regularly convinced my mom he was great, so she paid for my first treatment. After the first treatment, I couldn't believe the results -- every spot on my skin that was raised was flat, and my breakouts were reduced by 50% within 3 treatments (I had the first 3 close together because I was getting ready for a big event). Now it's over a year later, and I see Steven for i-derm (aka galvanic) facials every other week because of the amazing results I've gotten. The Face Loft is a gorgeous little space, impeccably decorated, and Steven is one of the warmest, kindest people I've ever spent time with. He is really one of those rare super gifted people who's better at what he does than anyone else; we're lucky he's here in Chicago. Kellie did my Botox and she was just incredible! She walked me through everything, spent so much time explaining what everything was, what it would do, how it would feel, how long for results, cost etc. And she was soooooo honest and didn't try to over sell me on anything. I went in there with a totally different idea of what I thought I needed done. she took one look at me and told me, that I honestly had great eyes and great cheek bones and that my face was very symmetrical and that I truly didn't need all these things I thought I did. She in fact suggested a cheaper idea of Botox in areas around my face that she thought would help with areas I was complaining about and give me a very youthful and feminine look. She even brought in Dr. Cheung for a second opinion, which she agreed with, just to help me see that there are so many other affordable options that can give you the results you want. I cannot say enough how much I just appreciated the honesty from them and the fact that they wanted me to look and feel my best and didn't try to oversell me on expensive stuff just to make a profit. They truly care about their clients! I am so excited for my results (said it would take two weeks to see the results) and for my follow up appointment. L'Unica is an unassuming salon on 31st Street in Lagrange Park. The salon is run by three women with various hairstyling backgrounds. Albeit it's a very small salon, it has an almost "Cheers" kind of vibe as two other customers were also there and everyone was chatting it up like they were long lost friends. Megan took the time to truly listen to me and hear what kind of haircut I was looking for. She didn't rush throughout the entire process and took great pride in her specialty. I'm never a fan of haircuts, but I left L'Unica quite comfortable with my results. It's great to have another hair salon option in the Lagrange Park/Brookfield area! I will return!
