Not sure why the reviews are so low. The Walgreens pharmacy has always been a great experience. The staff here is very customer focused and has always helped with any situation. Last year we needed a prescription transferred and picked up in another city. They made the process seamless. Thank you Walgreens. read more

My Dr called in my 2 prescriptions in at 145 Walgreens called me 15 minutes before the.pharmacy closed to tell me one was ready and the other one would be ready in three days THE last straw was I went to pick it up in the Drive thru I had my four year old with me and he saw a bag of suckers by the Window and when I asked the Lady at the Window if he can have one she said they were out read more

The service at Walgreens for the entire store is dismal. You wait at photo, pharmacy and the front register. If the cashier isn't able to figure out what the error is for instance (a coupon) a supervisor is called. As the customer you hope the supervisor will have a solution. However, they come and provide a repeat of what the cashier said. No help at all. read more

literally sat in drive through while listening to the clerk talk to the lady in the car beside me about tickets to a concert for 10 minutes. line is backed up. she then proceeded to roll her eyes when I ask a question about a prescription. I guess you're only friendly if you don't have to do your job! read more

DO NOT , I repeat DO NOT order your prescriptions to this location. You will be waiting for at least 45 mins. it's absolutely ridiculous!

Hayley gave my husband and me flu and Covid vaccines. She is super with customers and very helpful in getting the vaccine process moving. We had filled out all the forms ahead of time, but for some reason, we had to do it 2 more times when we got there which was very confusing. Hayley stepped in and made it happen quicker and smoother. read more

The pharmacy will have you wait all day for a prescription, tell you when it'll be ready, all for them to say they don't have it in stock when you show up to pick it up. Even so, they'll bill your insurance! Don't go here. read more

Unfortunately this Walgreens has changed....for the worse. Regardless if you go in or use the drive-thru you will have to wait 20+ minutes. I don't know where the efficient staff went, but it's clear they no longer work here. My advise...go elsewhere read more

Poorly run Pharmacy. The staff seems to be in constant rotation with new hires every few weeks. This hurts how efficient they are in everything. Wasn't always this way, but it seems they can't keep the good employees they do get. My guess would be poor leadership at this location. The last straw for me was when they couldn't straighten out the situation with my elderly parents' medications. So we transferred all our prescriptions to the Walmart right down the street. read more

I am writing to share my experience in attempting to refill RX . I placed a request for 1-2 Day Home Delivery on Tuesday May 19 via FedEx. I was leaving town Saturday May 23. returning Saturday May 30. I expected my delivery date to be 2 days later, May 21. I called Thursday May 21 at 6:30 pm and was told that FedEx delivers until 8 or 9, and call back Friday May 22 at 2. This young lady of black descent (I am also black) did not look up my FedEx status. She saw my order but did not investigate, even though I told her I was leaving town in 2 days. Friday May 23, at 2pm, I talked to Kxxxxx as I still didn't have my order. She told ME to call FedEx. I told Kxxxxx to call FedEx. She said that Fedex may want information she didn't have, which was ridiculous since Walgreens placed the order with FedEx, Walgreens has the tracking number, Walgreens hired FedEx as their delivery channel, and Walgreens has all the HIPPA and information FedEx would need. She then said she saw an address issue so she must have bothered to at least look it up in the system, unlike the Thursday night pharmacy tech. This is either laziness or poor customer training. She finally agreed to call FedEx and call me back. On her return call, she said FedEx said they had the wrong address, and was holding the package. NO ONE called me to tell me that. Maybe FedEx didn't call Walgreens which suggests a poor communication agreement OR Walgreens never called me. Regardless, it took ME to call while my prescription was in limbo. That alone is a travesty; on top of Kxxxxx telling me to call myself. Kxxxxx asked if I wanted to pick it up at FedEx or get a 30 day supply from Walgreens. I reminded her I am leaving town Saturday. I tell her I will pick it up at FedEx Friday, and asked for the FedEx location She puts me on hold while she (or someone else) talks to FedEx. She returns and tells me it's Winston Salem. I ask her to please give me the address, the hours, what department I need to go to, what to bring for ID, etc., everything involved in good customer service. She returned and told me FedEx was closed this Saturday due to the holiday and my package would not be available until TUESDAY May 26, while I am away. I plan to share my experience on social media and with Walgreens Regional/Area Management to the top. With Covid 19 and home delivery more frequent, staff should be better trained by now on FedEx, and should never send a customer to FedEx for delivery problems. First call resolution means the Thursday tech should have looked up my delivery status and not tell me to call back. All staff should be familiar with FedEx hours, address, and the process for missed delivery. Walgreens should ensure that patients are PROMPTLY notified of any address issues. This is medication, not nail polish. Finally Dxxxx called me, apologized and brought my medication to my house. By the way, my copay was $988 that Walgreens had for 3 days before delivering my medication. SHAMEFUL service throughout until Dxxxx got involved read more

I moved to the area from out of state two years ago. I selected this Walgreens for prescriptions because I pass it daily from home to work. I am in the process of moving my prescriptions to a pharmacy that is not on my route because of the really poor service. The lines are long both drive through and in store. On multiple occasions I have been told to come back in forty minutes to pick up a prescription after waiting for thirty minutes in line. The pharmacy staff are often short but they are clearly overwhelmed. One time I had a prescription go from two refills to none..... I was without a thyroid medicine until I could get hold of my physician. Once I was asked what medicine I was picking up, I named the brand name when the physician had ordered the generic. I was told that I did have that drug. They failed to see the order placed earlier that day. Many of the techs working the window do not have the education they need to work in a pharmacy setting. This locations is a mistake waiting to happen. read more

Absolutely the rudest staff members ever, including the pharmacist. They continuously screw up my orders and is even worse when I tried to return something. This is the last straw Walgreens, you've lost the business of our entire family. read more

Kernersville, NC Walgreens is HORRIBLE! Do not go here for prescriptions. After I waited on hold for 30 minutes to ask the pharmacist a question he was condescending and rude. I was told by the clerk that I could have my prescription filled within 48 hours of the due date at the pharmacists discretion. I had one due Thursday and one on Friday, so I wanted to make only one trip and pick them both up that day. I was told I would have to speak to the pharmacist so I was put on hold. 30 mins later, when he picked up he quickly mumbled his name (likely intentionally) and when I made my request to pick up both scripts today he replied " you can pick up one today and one tomorrow or you can pick them both up tomorrow. Those are your options." I said I would like to just make one trip and I am out of the one medication now so I would need to get them today. he repeated the statement. At one point I said I did not understand what he was telling me he answered smugly "I'm waiting for you to come to your own conclusion". very RUDE! I waited until Friday and waited 15 mins in the drive thru then was told he never filled it and I would need to come back later on to pick it up. I cancelled it. I will never come here again. you shouldn't either. read more

Had an allergic reaction. Got VERY poor customer service from this store and Walgreens customer service number. I could have died and they wouldn't care. I always find some good deals when I'm there to pick up my prescription. Sal, one of the cashiers, is awesome! Such a nice person and very helpful. He was able to save me $6 off a bottle of contact solution (that stuff's not cheap!) The wait in the pharmacy is usually long, but I really believe it's because they're short staffed at times. When it's my turn to check out, they're always nice, so in my opinion that makes up for it. read more

I thought it was just me until I read other reviews about the pharmacy. Their automated system just never works. I get a text message telling me prescription is ready but when I get there I have to wait inline and sometimes it's not even ready! read more

This is the most god awful place on earth. EVERYTHING about this location is bad. They never answer the pharmacy phone. In the last couple of days I have been on hold for 20-30 minutes and then disconnected. They are horrible. Wish I could leave negative stars because there would be 100. Going to CVS from now on if I EVER get my script filled!!! read more

This pharmacy is terrible! I have problems repeatedly getting my husbands and my medications. We have gone without our meds for a week before they get them to us. Either because they were out of stock or simply did not know how to process it through the insurance. I was with Cvs in oak ridge from 2009 - 2016 and I never had this problem. I even got better service through the military pharmacies. read more

The absolute worst pharmacy in Kernersville. When it first opened, it was awesome. Now, they don't care. If you come within an hour of their close time, they roll their eyes and say "we will try to get it done for you, but it would be better if you would come tomorrow." The slovenly blonde girl at the counter acts as if it actually pains her to assist you. Better customer service at most DMV offices. read more

The folks in the pharmacy are nice enough but ...I was a transfer (not by choice) from the Novant Pharmacy that Walgreen recently purchased. I take several medicines and have discount cards for several of them. The discount card information was not transferred. When I visited Walgreen the first time to get refills they did not have enough of three of the meds to fill my order and told me it would take 2 to 3 days to get what I needed. I cannot count the texts and emails I got about these refills being ready to pick up but the store insisted I did not get additional emails. Not a good first impression and I doubt I will see any improvements. With all the security around medicine these days, I am sure there is technology available to tract prescription refills and when they are due, so pharmacies should always have maintenance meds available. Never had this problem at Novant! I will be searching for a pharmacy that has their act together. I am not a patient woman and have no intention of putting up with taking several days to get refills. read more

Since Right Aid closed I have had one exasperating transaction everytime I refill my controlled medications after another. I'm on three controlled. The latest was last night. The automated answering system is horrible. I'm keeping it G rated. When Edwin answered I asked to speak with the pharmacist. "They are on another line, may I help you"? I asked when can I get Ambien refilled he responded the 17th. To myself, I'm a pill short, how do I sleep? So I doubled up on another. I thought about 2 a.m. October is a 31 day month. I should be able to fill on 16th. He confirmed it this morning. Didn't help me last night. I'm transferring to CVS and I'll warn all others. You should teach all clerks the rules to fill controlled substances. As I started, this was not the first time. That's why I asked to speak to the pharmacist. I was on hold for 10 minutes. Not satisfactory at all. read more

Let me start by saying this is the first review I write for any business in my life. I am disappointed with the service and reliability of the pharmacy section of this store. I was on hold 11 minutes waiting for their employee to find out if A CRITICAL prescription my son needed was available in other locations. This is after our doctor called the new prescription in during the morning hours and my husband goes to check in the evening the status of the order. They did not notified us that this location did not have the medicine in stock. We could have call the doctor and ask them to send it somewhere else. They could have told us early and not in the Friday evening that they will get it on Monday. So, back to my call. I hung the phone after waiting 11 minutes to be put on hold again for 12 plus minutes because the guy/tech is "checking who have it in the district." In today's market it doesn't take that long, I don't think to figure out which location has it on stock. IT IS CALLED COMPUTER SYSTEM. So, here we are past 8pm and probably will end up in the urgent care or ER this weekend because my son is already experiencing the effeccts of missing his dose or the new prescription. This is not the first time I experience this delay with prescriptions not in stock. Blue Cross Blue Shield forced us to use Walgreens after having an EXCELLENT service with their competitor CVS. What a shame. I will switch to mail order in the near future. I do not recommend this pharmacy. read more
