All people who use Pharmacies on a regular basis need to read this review: Recently, i was put into a position of care~taking for a very elderly person; which also required helping with all of the medication needs: organizing them, properly giving them, and re~ordering them. Before this task, i had zero exposure to the "Pharmaceutical" world~ {never needed to take a drug of any kind, for anything, my entire life}. So, "refilling some prescriptions" was an entirely foreign experience for me. Plus, dealing with all the various medical "offices", that worked with the patient i took care of, was not ever particularly enjoyable.. That's when 'Jilli', of Walgreens, Inverness, FL, came to my rescue!!.. For, i was faced with a prescription-refilling dilemma that required me to do some sort of insurance follow-up, *that i had no clue how to do*. But Jilli went the extra mile for me, and took care of the problem in a short time, that would have taken me, who~knows~how~long {if i would have even been able to get it done, at all}. A couple days later, i was in position to pick the prescriptions up. And so, i went there on the 28th of October, about 6:30p.m. When i got to Walgreens, i did not have a line ahead of me, and so, they helped me very readily. As i waited, i watched intently as each Pharmacy staff member did their work. In a very short period of time, my jaw literally dropped in utter amazement to the phenomenal professionalism and composure of each member, as they dealt with their *on-going* extraordinary time limitations, requests, and demands--- that seemed to just keep mounting, in my perspective. For each one of the staff members, the requirements placed on them were seemingly constantly pressing, needed, and coming from virtually every direction: the telephone, new walk~ins, the drive~thru, and all of the various considerations that had to be constantly taken into account just to carefully and properly handle the critically important materials. And all without running into, or tripping over, each other in the process!! And, yet, not one of them appeared rattled nor even stressed throughout. 'Surgeons aren't even under this kind of pressure!!', i thought to myself, as i absolutely marveled in admiration at all of their incredible, professional composure, adeptness and dexterity. These people, that work in this line of business, do not get a fraction of the credit that they deserve. It's high~time people truly recognize the incredible responsibility and obligation these workers have on their shoulders--- to the point, really, that those responsibilities and obligations are almost unreasonable and unrealistic. We all need to deeply appreciate that. All of my respect and admiration to you Pharmacy employees at Walgreens, Inverness, FL. Again, i applaud you. I moved to Inverness from a small town in Washington state located on Whidbey Island. We went to Walgreens there and were always very happy with the pharmacy and the store in general. When we moved here there was two Walgreens and we picked the one on Apopka and went on with our lives. A year later they closed one of the stores and combined them into one which happened to be the one on Apopka. Long lines and mistakes in the pharmacy began but we thought we would give them time to straighten things out. Then along came covid. Wow things really went down hill in the pharmacy unbelievable wait times are mistakes. The consumer service in the rest of the store stayed pretty good and actually the girls at the pharmacy counter were fairly nice however the pharmacists were jerks. I can't tell you how many times I was told that my doctor had not sent scripts or they were incorrect ect. The topper for me was last week when I dropped off a paper percription (I was tired of the pharmacist telling me that didn't get it so I got a paper one and delivered it myself) the pharmacist told me it was 2 days early so I said fine be back in 2 days. 2 days later I got a email saying my prescription was ready for clean up. I showed up and was told that they only had 10 pills out of 60 and I would have to get a second prescription from my doctor for the other 50 pills meaning another co-pay to my and that I would have to pay another co-pay at the pharmacy when I picked up 50 pills. I pointed out that the they had all the pills 2 days prior when I dropped off the script , which was fine with my doctor and fine with my insurance company. I then was told that the pharmacist decided I was 2 days early and that another costumer needed hers filled so they took them from my filled perception first come first sold. I was done and asked for my paper perception back. I was told that it would take a while they were busy could I please come inside, I told them no I would wait for it at the drive up window after all first come first served. Needless to say the prescription showed up in seconds.. I went to CVS pharmacy setup a new account and filled my prescription in less time than it took me to wait in line for the drive up window at Walgreens. I will never recommend or go back to Walgreens!! read more

Have always had good customer service at this store. Employees have always been helpful and pleasant. Nice pharmacists, especially Roxanne, who takes the time to discuss your concerns and really cares. read more

I just had to have my foot surgically reconstructed which was very painful. There were 8 rods in my foot. My surgeon kept writing me presc for Percocet and united health care would only give me 3 days supply and then dispose of the rest of the prescription. Each one was for a 10 day supply. I took another up there written the same way and they said I could only get 3 pills. WTF. He was writing 10 day supply not 30. It's ridiculous. I don't recommend Walgreens for anything. read more

I have been in Inverness since 2018 and have always received great service. Sometimes things are slow because the people are over worked, especially when the snowbirds are in town with transferred prescriptions and other people with incomplete information. I observe things like this when standing in line. I have not always received speedy service, but that is to be expected. I am very patient when going there, expecting some delays. People are friendly, courteous and efficient as possible with the circumstances that they have to work with. read more

If at all possible avoid this store. If it is possible to give zero stars that would be my rating. My wife ordered pictures as a gift for me. It took them 15 minutes to find the order. They gave me someone else's order, when we called the store to tell them the response was just throw them out. I we after that to pick up a photo and went out to my car to get .20 cents lady was gone, when I went to inquire where she was a response came back twice sarcastically "your not her only customer". Today it took 20 minutes to find a picture order for Christmas. Showed them the e-mail with order and confirmation that is was done. Finally it was found was told that someone marked it as picked up and with that after a 25 minute wait the package was thrown at me across the counter. Asked for the manager was informed that the person who threw the package at me was the manager. This is the attitude from management I would never have prescriptions filled there. read more

This is the most incompetent clown show of a pharmacy I have ever seen! I finally pulled all my prescriptions and went elsewhere. The last straw was I took a prescription in at 10 am they told me it would be ready at 12:30 pm, went back at 1:00pm and told it would be 2:30 pm. Went back at 3:10pm and then was told it couldn't be filled until tomorrow after I wasted most of a day and a bunch of gas. This is an everyday occurrence at this circus of a pharmacy! This is just one time of many bad experiences at Walgreens on Apopka Ave in Inverness Florida. Save yourselves lots of anguish and frustration, just go somewhere else! read more

Normally I don't write reviews, but I am getting extremely upset with the fact that your Walgreens Pharmacy never seems to have enough medication on hand. This is the 3rd time (in a couple of months) that I have waited over 3 days for my Tramadol prescription, as they were "out". I'm sorry, but this is a very popular medication. They store is always clean. The employees are always greetings you and asking if you need help. The pharmacy area is busy but they do everything they can to make sure you get your meds in a timely manner and do with a smile on their face. read more

Store says phones are updating so when I call to see if prescriptions are ready they say call back in 1 hour well it's been 5 hours so had doctors office send to CVS..... Had no issues at CVS. Ready in 10 minutes. I hate using this Walgreens. Use CVS people their faster....!!! read more
