The policy at their pharmacy is this: if they don't have the full amount of pills your doctor prescribes you, they charge you for the full amount, don't have enough pills, say they'll call you when they come in, not call you, and then when you go to try to talk to someone they say you should have come back within 7 days (even if they didn't call you), without saying that when you originally interacted with them. I would rather be set on fire than return to this store. Anywhere else is better. read more

Quick stop for some over-the-counter stuff. This Walgreens is clean and well organized. It is the classic Walgreens formula that is the same everywhere. Cosmetics, greeting cards, snacks, drinks and of course, a full-service pharmacy. Now that Thanksgiving is past, the seasonal section is all about Christmas. Red and green. Presents and such. I am a religious shopper at Walgreens. One of the things I love is their competitive pricing. I have also always had prices honored if something was mislabeled. Tonight I found Tylenol on sale there. It rung up for double what it was supposed to be. The manager was called and she told me she would not honor it. Unacceptable. read more

This Walgreens location on Palmetto Bay Road on Hilton Head Island is a well managed Walgreens that has everything that you need in one convenient stop. I like that they have more beach items here and the selection they have available. The staff here is very friendly and efficient. read more

This is the most annoying Walgreens in the world!! The pharmacist has no bedside manner and uses 1 or 2 words to answer most questions. It's obvious she hates her job, but somebody should tell her to cheer up or get out. The rest of the employees are zombies with no expression or kind words. Or any words for that matter. Horrible pharmacy service. Made an appt for a flu shot online. Come in and wait 30 minutes before they tell me they don't honor appointments, even after I showed them my Appointment confirmation email from Walgreens. . The pharmacist was rude and not accommodating. Worst service experience ever. Why advertise for online appointments for anything if you don't honor them. Will go to Main St medical from now on and will take all my pharmacy business elsewhere and encourage others to do th Also, the techs are slower than slow. The pharmacist was so rude and unprofessional! I needed a prescription filled so I stopped in to see how long it would take for them to get it in. Making no eye contact, he threw a sticker at me with the pharmacy number on it and said call a week before you need it. I used my Walgreens app to fill my prescription and received a text saying the prescription is delayed due to an issue. I called the pharmacy and unfortunately talked to the same pharmacist. He told me he had 100 issues going on and needed to go and hung up on me. I called my Walgreens pharmacist back home and explained I was having issues getting my prescription filled. My pharmacist offered to call the pharmacy to help work through the issue. I received a call the next day from my pharmacist saying he wasn't getting anywhere with that pharmacist and if there is another Walgreens near by he would recommend I transfer my prescription. Do not waste your time dealing with this Walgreens Pharmacy. The Walgreens on Hatton had my prescription for me the next day! read more

The Walgreens Pharmacy, at Palmetto Bay Road on Hilton Head Island, was horrible! The pharmacist was, short, rude, arrogant, and unprofessional. My husband asked if the pharmacy had received a script from a well known hospital in the Midwest. The pharmacist at Walgreens, quickly said that no script had been received. My husband was actually speaking with the hospital employee who sent that script, on speaker phone, who stated the script had been sent at 3:58 and Walgreens confirmed receiving the script at 3:59. The pharmacist overheard this conversation and suddenly his attitude changed, he found the script. In the end, the pharmacist failed to give my husband's prescription drug insurance card back at the end of the transaction. We called the next day, the pharmacy reluctantly acknowledged they had the card, and would send it immediately. One week later, it still hasn't arrived. This Walgreens Pharmacy at Palmetto Bay Road, makes quick statements without checking facts. It was frustrating for my husband who is a cancer patient and needed an important drug immediately. read more

Agree with with the above reviews. The people at the Pharmacy really don't care. I had a prescription called in by my heart doctor and found the staff to be very cold and a "what do you want attitude". I finally went to Harris Teeter across the street and received 5 star treatment. At Walgreens, I also asked about the flu shot being advertised. Response from the clerk "not available today", when can I get one "Tomorrow". Harris Teeter did it while I was waiting. A million dollars invested in a store and Walgreens is flushing it down the drain with the staff at this store. read more

The worst Walgreens I have ever encountered!! It took me a over a week until I had to cancel because I was leaving to get a transferred Rx picked up. I was without medication for several days, between speaking to the rude non responsive tech who then transferred me to the pharmacist who hung up on me. This is the worst Walgreens I've ever visited. Walked in to no employees in the front of the store they were all in the back room, and then gave me an attitude when I asked if I could get some help. I also was there to take a passport photo and was not greeted at all by Tammy, the lady taking the photo and she was quite unfriendly. We are on vacation out of Charlotte. My pharmacy in Charlotte was out of Brevo; and I am suffering from acute asthma. I called this Walgreens and Gwinn was most helpful; she contacted my Home Walgreens; got my info; and told me they could fill my RX today! Gwinnett was most helpful and we appreciate her great customer service. We are so happy to be with a corporate chain that can share info and fill scripts in both states. read more

Absolutely horrible!! I dropped off a script at 9:30 AM and was told it would be ready in the afternoon. When I did not get the notification that it was ready as I was told I would, I went back at 3:00 PM. As I was wanting in line I witnessed the staff being rude on the phone to another customers tell them "They was preaching to the wrong choir". When it was my turn, I was told they were just to busy to fill my script and I should go someplace else. This is information that should have been told to me at 9:30 in the morning. They were beyond rude!!! Their action cost me a whole day of a script of antibiotic that I had run out on. I did go to Walmart and they filled my script within 20 minutes with a smile. This particular Walgreens has consistently the worst customer service of any establishment I've seen in a very long time. I've been using this one for a couple of years because of its location & because I don't frequent the pharmacy, so I've tolerated the poor service in small doses. And to be fair, there is one gentleman who works there who has helped me out in a pinch, but he is the rare exception. Today I went to pick up a Rx that was called in 2 hours ago. The estimated time for pick up was 15 minutes after the ferry to my house leaves, so we went by to ask if it might be ready early. The woman looked up my Rx, looked at the expected time and told us it would not be ready earlier than that without ever checking if it was ready. We left, drove about a mile down the road and I got a message from them that it was ready. Something so simple. If she had checked the bin or turned her head and asked her colleagues, we could have picked it up the first time. Lazy. Uncaring. Poor service. Looks like it's time to switch no matter how infrequently I need a pharmacy, because this level of service just isn't acceptable. read more

This review is regarding the pharmacy only. This indeed is the most annoying Walgreens Pharmacy staff I have ever encountered. My husband and I made 3 trips to this Walgreens for flu and Prevnar vaccines. Each time we were given some excuse by the pharmacist -- I don't have time come back later, the other Walgreen's pharmacy is down and we are handling all of their prescriptions so I don't have time and I am the only one here right now can you come back in a couple of hours. After our third trip, we drove to Harris Teeter Pharmacy and received all of our vaccinations immediately. Yesterday, I tried to buy Claritin-D 24 (which you have to buy from behind the counter) and pharmacist said we can't sell any sudafed products right now; come back later. Really???? I have never seen a company who will continue to keep these pharmacists on staff with the attitudes of these people. I had just given all my pharmacy business over to Walgreens. Evidently, I made a huge mistake. read more

I have had multiple bad experiences here - this past time though is enough to make me switch pharmacies. They actually lost my prescription, then rather than apologizing kept asking me if I was sure I dropped it off at their location (the other walgreens is 20 min away, so yeah, pretty sure)... then started making comments about what disage the doctor had prescribed - like that had anything to do with not having my prescription? Stay away from this place - rude and lose prescriptions so that you then have to call doc and explain. read more
