I feel I must tell you about one of your employees in the pharmacy located on Warm Springs and Arroyo Grande. His name is Jaiman and he is an employee you should be proud of! I went in to fill a prescription today, knowing in advance that my copay would be $96.99. When Jaiman saw how much I was going to have to pay, he told me to wait a minute. He went to his computer screen and after a minute or two he told me he located a coupon for my medication and with the coupon, my copay was reduced to $36! Can you imagine? This young man should be commended for what he did for me! It's so wonderful when a young adult takes the time to help a senior (I am 76). Good work Jaiman and good work Walgreens for hiring this young man! read more

I had a great experience! The pharmacy techs are always kind and hustling at this location. I got vaxxed by a very kind gentleman. Fast, painless and easy! However Destin (a tech) went above & beyond w/a VERY needy patron. She even went out in to the store to get this woman's OTC items for her. The lady wasn't overly grateful either. Destin was very kind, helpful and exercised great restraint and patience. I love this pharmacy and wish the clients were as patient and kind as the pharmacist & techs! read more

25MAY2022 Usual experience for this visit. I needed a gauze roll to cover up a wound. I am thankful for their early hour opening as I was able to pick the item up before class that day. I took a chance and the item was in stock. [Relevant due to COVID shutdown related supply chain issues not everything is available as was years past.] The item also had a buy one get the second half off. This was a welcome deal as I needed to restock my first aid kit with these items. I made an appointment online to have vaccines at 8:30 PM. They close the vaccines at 7 PM since they don't have enough traffic of people come in to do more vaccines. If that's the case they need to contact the people that have appointments after 7 PM and let them know that their appointment is canceled or they need to update their online appointment scheduling availability. I am so frustrated and so disappointed. Now I missed out on work and will have to figure out getting here again. What a waste of time. read more

I always have to wait to pick up my prescriptions from normally an unfriendly staff. Yesterday took the cake. I went to the drive through, was the only car. He stated the computer was down. Never came back to say they were working in it. After sitting there for 15 min, I pressed the bell. Only to ask if it was going to be long, I'll just take my cards. The guy was so rude, walked over hit the intercom and said "I'll be right with you" hung up and walked away, I tried talking to just say I'll get my cards and come back. And he once again, got in the intercom long enough to be extra rude and tell me he would be over soon. Came back a couple minutes later to once again tell me the computers are down. That would not have bothered me. It was the lack of care, and refused to listen to me. I was not upset at first. It's a topical medication. That I have been trying to get my skin treated for months. I could finally afford it. And I won't be back to get it after that. He treated me like trash. And now I'll have to try and get my prescription transferred. You never know what someone is going through. Listen when they call you. They may be pleased with just coming back later and need their cards. The rudeness I received was unbelievable. If it wasn't for my Walgreens AARP medicare plan I would stop coming here They have multiple day waiting time for refills. I have waited for over a week for a refill because even tho it was to be delivered from Arizona it was not on the delivery I asked "don't you have this medication on the shelf" they said yes but my refill had to be filled at their distributor. My only experience with this store was to go in and get my Covid vaccine. It all went very well. Like a normal American I totally missed the sign saying COVID CHECK-IN and waited in the prescription line for about 10 minutes. My fault, not theirs. Once I found out where I was supposed to be it went really well. I filled out the form and was immediately taken to get my shot. She was really nice and even said ''almost done'' which I like the Doctors/Nurses to say since I'm squeamish about shots. I hope my 2nd visit goes just as smooth. read more

I have been using this pharmacy for a few years, since it is near my house. I am a cancer patient and rely on pain medication and the pharmacist is one of the rudest people I've ever encountered. I am made to feel like a junkie or worse for medication that my oncologist prescribes. Very disgusting to have someone like her in charge. If she hates her job so much, why doesn't she quit, instead of treating sick people like trash. EDIT: the pharmacist's name is Quihn Tommu or close to that. I have literally never called a corporate number to complain but she is so unpleasant and unprofessional. The first time she hung up on me after telling me I was wrong for inquiring about MY meds. I'm 43 years old and she lectured me on MY meds like I was a kid. I have bone cancer and I guess she's too healthy to understand how chronic pain works. She's disgusting to be like this in this field. Every other staff member has been wonderful btw. Only this nasty, unpleasant person. read more

I have been going to this Walgreens location for nearly 17 years. I've always had issues with the pharmacy. Every time there's an issue with billing the insurance. The most common issue is that the insurance company refused to cover the drug/medication. When I call the insurance company they said that they cover the medication and had not received any claims from the pharmacy. So I go back and get a refund and they charge the insurance company. I realize that this is a very busy location but nearly every time there's an issue with the billing and I have to pay the full price (sometimes several hundreds of dollars) and get the issue corrected days or weeks later. They don't care about the customer and just want them out of their face to get through their day. read more

The pharmacy staff are horrible. Meds sent over on Wednesday, I had to call on Friday to see if they were ready, come Saturday, still not ready. Their reason is because they didn't have my current insurance....hmmm, pick up the phone and call me. Geesh. I really would give this place a zero if I could. I have been here far too many times and always get annoyed at myself when I return because it's always the same - crazy long lines, 1 staff serving the disgruntled customers who are being made to wait for way too long, 5 or more staff in the pharmacy but ignoring all the customers, shelves are often empty and not restocked etc... the store also isn't very clean. I could go on and on. Poor management is evident here. This seems like a very easy issue to fix/clean up but from the myriad of poor reviews, it's apparent they just do not care. DO NOT COME HERE. This Walgreens location is actually so awful! Even if you live close I would suggest any other place for prescriptions. Today I got a call that my prescription was ready, so I headed to the store. I waited 30 mins in line for them to tell me that it's not ready. Pharmacy employees very rude. No customer behind me and employee got my prescriptions and proceeded to have a conversation with coworker about hours and corporate and I said I would like to you finish with my transaction and she got RXTREMELY and said I was rude. I told her she could finish her conversation after she was done with me. Not a pleasant employee. Talked to acting pharmacy manager and the employee came up and started to interrupt us and she told the employee to back away. If it wasn't for my insurance and would never go to this pharmacy. Worst experience at this Walgreens. There were 4 cars total and 2 lanes in the drive thru. I sat in the drive through for 45 minutes, maybe closer to an hour. This Walgreens usually has a slower service but after this last time I am switching Walgreens after this. It was ridiculous wait times, will never becoming back here. Same as the other reviews - the pharmacy CANNOT get their act together! Can't get through on the phones without a 30 minute wait. If (IF!) you get a text saying your scrip is ready, drive all the way there to pick up, they tell you they have no record of it, or that it's not ready and to come back in an hour, or to wait 15 more minutes. The worst Walgreens I have ever been in. We went there for a shot and there were 2 people in front of us. It took 1 1/2 hours to get the shot. When we finally left there had to be at least 10 people in line and numerous people had walked out because of the incompetency of the staff. There were at least 5 people working behind the pharmacy counter. There is no order or control of what is going on. Talked to the manager and she could not of cared less. If I could give this location zero stars I would . The manager is lazy & incompetent . I placed a pick up order for photos & when I went inside to retrieve them I had another person in front of me in line that wanted to return something while his mother was in the car she then had to come inside to try to resolve things with the manager . I was waiting in that line for a good 20 minutes The manager never decided to cancel his order and ring up anyone else in line . He just had everyone wait on that one customer . I'm a cashier at a fast pace restaurant never in my life have I been more stunned to this horrible customer service . Pharmacy is extremely unhelpful here. Poor communication, was told different information by various pharmacists and pharmacy techs. Extremely frustrating. Will be changing my pharmacy. Competency is worth the inconvenience of pursuing a pharmacy a little farther away from home. This isn't the first problem we've had either. There's a reason why this location is ranked 2 stars and lower because it's AWFUL and obviously the manager nor corporate really care much! This store has gone so far down hill in the past year it's insane. The pharmacy is a JOKE with the RUDEST staff I've ever seen! My insurance company just sent us a letter letting us know they dropped Walgreens as a pharmacy due to lack of inventory and consistent complaints we'll go figure!! Thank god I can't get the heck away from this crappy company! The last time I used Walgreens before my insurance kicked them off their plan I was leaving the ER for my toddler child, the doctor called in the prescription she needed made it clear she needed this medication asap spoke to Walgreens who said they had it in stock and ready in an hour.... Well guess what I get to Walgreens and "oh sorry we forgot to complete your prescription, can you come back in 1/2 hour" ya that's annoying but okay accidents happen, go back 30 mins later oh here we go "oh sorry we're out of that medication we'll have it tomorrow at 10am ready for you". Are you kidding the Doctor called specifically to ensure you had these meds because that's how urgent it was needed. You told him yes, now it's 10pm and I can't get the meds transferred elsewhere so no choice but to wait until the next morning, show up the next morning at 11am figured I'd give them a little time to fill the script l, I arrive oh guess what... "oh we forgot to fill it come back in an hour", I send her dad this time because I need to be at work, he goes back 2 hours later, oh guess what.... "Wow sorry we don't know what happened it didn't get filled, give us 15 minutes we will do it right now" 15 mins my you know what! They made him sit there for 45 minutes until he went back up and asked what's going on guess what ding ding you guessed it they "forgot" because they're so "busy" screw you this is a toddlers health you just messed with, no we're almost 24 hours into her needing this medication. I'm sick and disgusted by this place and no one here gives a darn about wasting your time, and risking a persons health, you should be ashamed of yourselves! You're nothing but a joke of a pharmacy. Your staff is rude and I'm sure your scrapping the bottom trying to find staff because you've pulled out some real winners with the nasty, rude, unprofessional attitudes. My husband's doctor sent them a new prescription early Friday morning. We called Sarurday morning and they said it was ready, but could not give copay amount until we brought them our insurance card. We waited a couple hours and drove up to the window. Tech. took card, put something in computer, said it would take too long for drive-in, and told us to come inside. Parked the van and went inside. The Tech inside told us they were out on the medication and that we would have to go to another store. Why couldn't they tell this on the phone? read more

If you're a pharmacist and you make the mistake of giving one of your patients the WRONG MEDICATION then the least you can do is be kind calm and collected and fix it, right???? Well this wasn't the case for me. Earlier today my pharmacy, the Walgreens over on Arroyo Grande and Warm Springs, gave me the wrong medication and when we took it back to them to explain that they made a mistake their pharmacist decided to blow up on us and started talking down on me like I was some kind of crook that was trying to finesse them out of more medication. I calmly requested that they pull up their camera footage so that they could see where their mistake was made, the pharmacist refused while arrogantly saying "we ALL filled this prescription" "I know what WE put in there why are you bringing THIS back to me" with a cocky smirk on her face. So a scene starts happening and her subordinate goes to the back of the pharmacy where the refrigerators are and she calls the head pharmacist woman over to her. Shortly after that they both returned to the front with, can you guess? THE RIGHT MEDICATION. The head pharmacist then proceeded to throw all of her subordinates under the bus and didn't even apologize and at that point I realized that it was pointless. I waited for my medication to be handed to me as she tried to passive aggressively explain what I already knew which is that she was wrong all along. She technically didn't even say she was sorry for not only making the mistake of mis-labeling my medication, which caused the girl at the drive thru window to hand me the wrong bag in the first place, but she also didn't care to apologize for her rude arrogant and unprofessional attitude towards me either. All in all it was the worst experience I've had at a pharmacy and now I don't even know if I can trust them and go back to them for more refills from now on. read more

This review is for the photo center only - one word LAZY!!!!!!!!!! My grandma, who I'd like to add is 82 and going blind had previously went into Walgreens photo to place an order for about 40 calendars. She said that she'd be back with photos to include in each of the months. I take her back with the flashdrive in hand and the woman at the photo says she has no record of the order - the manager came out from the back and didn't even look in the computer and said "yea we don't have the order". Seriously?!! My grandma and I spent a good 2 hours moving photos into January -December folders on this flashdrive! My grandma said she'd be back as she knows the lady who took her order. She goes back (without me, but with the flashdrive) and apparently they put the flashdrive in their computer and the folders are not there, just a bunch of pictures. So my grandma changed her order completely and made little photo cards instead of the calendars. I meet her for lunch today and I ask if she has that flashdrive, I get back to work, put it in and the folders are there!!!!! LAZY LAZY LAZY!!!!!!!!!!! read more

Worse pharmacy in the area. Texted the script was ready - I chose to go through the drive-thru. I was told the price and gave the person my credit card to pay. Once the card was received was then told it had to be reprocessed by the store and I needed to come back in 15 mins. Before I could say anything she hung up and went to the next drive-thru line. I pressed the button but she ignored me until she had waited on 2 other customers in the other line. When she finally answered me I asked for my credit card back. She acted as if she didn't know me. But then finally found my card and returned it - thanking me and hoping I would have a good day. I wasted 20 mins sitting there for something that should have been over in less than 5 mins. And to top it all off this is the 3rd time I have been to pick this up. The first time they couldn't find the script - but they found it and said it was ordered. The second time they claimed it had not been ordered - they could not find my insurance information - even though they took it on my first visit. And this final encounter is my end with this store.
