At CVS Pharmacy on Wax Rd in Central Louisiana is terrible. The staff regularly ignores customers…read moresitting at the drive-thru window and even inside the store. Many times there is no line inside, yet it still takes a long time for anyone to acknowledge you. I have sat in the drive-thru for over 10 minutes and had to knock on the window, only to have employees look directly at me and still say nothing. When someone finally comes to help, they often have an attitude and simply say you have to wait. What makes it worse is that multiple customers waiting in line complain about the same thing while we are all standing there being ignored. They often have 3-5 employees working in the pharmacy, yet no one can take two seconds to acknowledge a customer or simply say they will be with us shortly. The service feels intentionally slow and very unprofessional. The main pharmacist is fully aware because she can hear customers complaining, yet nothing changes and the behavior continues. This location seriously needs better management and basic customer service training. Very frustrating and unacceptable experience.

You don't get a lot of frills as far as... you can refill from an app etc...like you can with some big name pharmacies and they don't have night hours etc, but the personal service you get is fantastic. But seriously, spicy fried chicken and western style fries any time of the friggin day or night. The chicken is actually pretty damn good. I believe Seth Rogen said one of his favorites of New Orleans was Brother's chicken. No joke. I live within spitting distance of this place and come here often not just to gas up but to get a 3 piece chicken tender with fries for ~$6 or a 3 piece mix with fries for about the same price. If you go in here almost any time of day or night, there's a small line. On Sundays after church let's out you'll see people walking out of there with 25 piece boxes. And it's non-stop. They also have kabob's, meat pies and other good stuff. If they're out of something, they'll make it up fresh for you. Plus it's a fully stocked mini-mart and liquor store. You can get your fill on junk food, beer, liquor, smokes and everything bad for you all in one small place. The family that owns this place is from El Salvador so they stock a lot of chips and snacks from their native country. I buy all of it as I love to try new things. They have a cooler with Mexican cokes right next to the case of Mad Dog 2020's. They have soda for 99 cents any size, icee's, and a walk in cooler for beer. Not being from here, a colleague explained to me that the local gas station almost everywhere in Louisiana always has good food. It's a place where people would go to congregate and get the local gossip and news, before the internet and even mobile phones, it makes sense. Even after the advent of modern conveniences of you reading this review on your phone in the car, going to a gas station to get food is what we do here. Other places may be not so, but here, some of the best food are in the least likely of places like a gas station, read some of my other reviews of other gas stations of similar faire. So if you're in the area and you want some good fried chicken and you can't get into the tiny parking lot at Blue Store, and you're tried of Popeye's, or it's late at night and you don't want to go to Louies or Waffle House, you've just gotten out of the bar and you've got the munchies come here, you won't be let down.
