I lived with a smile that embarrassed me for a long time and the only thing that I could afford was internal bleaching which was only moderately effective. In retrospect, I'm glad I couldn't invest in crowns back then because I wouldn't have enjoyed the technology that is available today in combination with the amazing results that Dr. Lawlor and his team provided me. Crowns have come a long way since those obvious and oversized ones of yesteryear. My case was rather unique and challenging because my other teeth are a grayish tint thanks to exposure to tetracycline while in the womb. Matching those teeth to my crowns required several photographs and a really great laboratory. Although I was happy with the first crowns that came back from the lab, Dr. Lawlor is a perfectionist. That is what you want in a cosmetic dentist. He sent them back and a week or so later, I was fitted with new front teeth that look so natural and feel so real, I honestly can't believe they're not. Dr. Lawlor and April made the whole experience interesting, painless, and actually a little bit fun. Now I am going back for regular cleanings with Donna, who is a fabulous hygienist whom I've known for years. Dr. Lawlor still takes a few minutes to check on my teeth. Hard to believe, but my crowns are hard and sturdy enough to withstand corn on the cob and other favorites that I thought I had to give up. I couldn't be happier and will sing the praises of Maine Cosmetic Dentistry to anyone willing to listen. Thanks a million to the entire staff at this beautiful and welcoming establishment.

The prices are the average of what one would pay anywhere for hair services...they definitely are not more expensive than other places. The only slightly negative thing is they do seem to recommend a lot of hair products...and at our last visit...they recommended $150 worth of products...and one product...a small bottle of some kind of styling gel was $53 by itself. Many colors and styles of nail paints are available. Two sinks for washing or rinsing of hair. One stylist does extensions of every color and length you could want. I've been with them for 4 years, since I moved to Maine, and I have always been amazed at their professionalism, kindness, and sensitivity to my needs. The office is physically welcoming and calming, and all the staff work so well together. I don't know how Dr. Goding does it!.....he moves seamlessly amongst several patients at once, yet he always arrives chair side with cheerfulness and friendly talk before he begins. Gentle touch, never hurried, with very current, up-to-date equipment. We called here to see if we could have a brass bell engraved. They were confident in their answer…read morein being able to engrave it so we dropped the bell off with them. We called to check on the bell and first were told the girl who could work on it didn't come in until 10 one morning and they would call us with an update. I'm sure there was some confusion with myself calling and my husband being the person they called back however, after we called to check again on the bell, we were told that they engraved it, didn't like how it came out, buffed it, and would be re-engraving it. Once again, when we called to check on it, we were told that the girl that did engraving didn't work on Mondays. Then, next thing we know, they are telling us they can no longer engrave it. I understand that unpredictable situations occur and perhaps my perception of the experience is a bit different, but we were told they could do something and then after apparently doing work, could no longer perform the service requested. It just felt a bit off... everyone was friendly when we would call so nothing against the employees, just ended up being a situation that set us back on this project (a gift) a few weeks longer than we would have liked and just seemed like we were being given false information.

When the appraisals came back I had to laugh on how ridiculous the appraisals were. They were less than half of what was paid when purchased and with the the authenticity paperwork showing it was a numbered Hearts on fire cut, perfect cut, perfect clarity. Looking at the paperwork for the rings all four papers were exactly the same wording with the appraisal price typed in. The rings were four completely different rings. There was no description of any of the rings beside size. I got them reappraised by two other places after, with them coming out higher than purchased price, and the two other places matched each other. My point.... Don't spend the money to appraise them there and don't believe them especially if you want to sell them to them!
