Best Hannaford around. Not as big as some but clean, pleasant staff and a great variety.

Great little neighborhood grocery store that has reasonable hours, great parking and most things…read moreyou would expect in a supermarket. Tiny though it is. THIS IS NOT A HANNAFORD's. Lol. Most of their products are Hannaford brand, their paper bags say "Hannaford", even their name badges have the Hannaford brand. But don't dare call this a Hannaford store or the employees will give you an earful, lol. If you go there in the weekdays they have some very entertaining locals who often walk the aisles for something to do. You get shopping and entertainment all in one.

Unfortunately we live in a small Maine ski town so we have to settle for what we have unless we…read morewant to drive 25 miles or more in any direction, so therefore the locals use the store all the time. The thing that is frustrating is they seem to cater to the out of towners more than the people who are here for them year round. After the weekend, the market is empty and they restock toward the middle or the end of the week before the tourist come. Their produce is disgusting, nothing is fresh. Try to find anything in the store and it's a challenge even for the people who shop there all the time. And let me just say this about the choices, seems like whoever is ordering is only getting a brand they like and then only what they would choose. For instance they carry Brigham's ice cream, the only flavor, peppermint stick. I happen to like that type but why buy only one flavor. I've tried finding large cans on albacore solid white tuna and so many other things, that were always there before this group bought the store and can never find them. They really need to take into consideration the people who live here and maybe cater to the people who keep them in business year round!

I did NOT take enough photos!! This place was super cute. It had a porch as we walked in that felt…read morelike I was walking into a old friend's house. It was raining but this made it easy to get inside. You walk into everything all at once. I beeline for sandwiches and coffee. A lovely lady behind the counter caught my eye and asked me what I needed. I got a pumpkin spice latte, cause it's cold, rainy, and fall! I grabbed a mozzarella roasted red pepper sandwich that hit the spot. I was hungry so I ate as I walked around and looked at all the goodies. They seem to be hosting the coffee Swift River Roasters. They had a great selection of 1 lb bags and more. As you walk through you realize there's ice cream, treats, and a whole market in the back. We found a small room that boasted wine tasting - whoa - cool! We took a quick seat and finished our sandwiches as we looked around. We walked the rest of the market and if you are looking for upscale - this is your place. They even had Dom Perignon on the shelf. I scored some Bacardi on sale (to make vanilla of course) and some chocolates. The lady at the counter was super sweet, check out was quick and easy. They accept cards, cash and idk. But I would definitely stop in again!

I am fortunate to live within walking distance from this lovely market. I've gotten many good…read moreproducts from them and realized that I haven't posted any reviews yet. Employees here are always friendly. Their food is always well-made and is of excellent quality. Prices are a bit on the high end hence the 4 stars. Pictured here is their Hometown Chef Salad and The Good Life Club. My stepson and I ended up sharing as the portions are huge. We even got 3 servings out of the salad. These two items are highly recommended. This market also has some fresh produce, several cheese options, interesting snacks and pantry items. Stop by and support local whenever you can!

Harvest Time is such a wonderful, well stocked, interesting, and valuable store to visit in the…read moreAugusta area. The cashiers have always been friendly and helpful when I approached them. Their selection of vitamins, cleaning products, skincare, herbs, and teas is one of the best in the state for a small, local health store. In the Summer and Autumn, their selection of local produce increases. This year they have done a great job with local organic seedless watermelon and a nice variety of local organic vegetables. The dry goods section is not as expansive as one might find at a big box grocery store, which feels pretty reasonable and is even one of the reasons the store is nice.. it is a genuine, locally-opened small business.. not powering a huge space or warehouse to hold 12 varieties of one packaged item where 1 or 2 types are great. There are still many staple items to choose from. The costs I have compared are not more than the costs of items if they were ordered directly from the producers, they seem fair with prices. They are such a great addition to the area I try to think more of how I can support them instead of focusing on and criticizing minor shortcomings that most small local business face. I look forward to going to Harvest Time and finding interesting healthy things every time.
