This CVS was fairly well stocked with almost anything you could need but their prices were brutal! They wanted almost $6.00 for a half gallon of milk! I also needed dog food but they had a very limited selection to choose from and my dog doesn't like any of their options. The store was clean and well lit. They also sell liquor and had a decent variety of beer / hard seltzer to choose from. They also have a limited selection of wine plus everything else you would expect to find at CVS. read more

this pharmacy is probably the worst in the north east. staff are always miserable, rude and make you feel like collecting medication is an inconvenience. the store is filthy not a safe place to bring children. There is always mistakes with filling and billing prescriptions, often refills are not available or the incorrect amount of medication is given and the customer is over charged. read more

I just moved to Maine from Virginia and had a paper script that my doctor wrote me before I moved up north. I called the CVS Pharmacy to ask if they carried the medicine that had been prescribed to me. I was told that my doctor had to call them to verify if they carried the drug - but they wouldn't give that info to me. What? Apparently it's in the pharmacist's discretion and she can be as rude and ignorant as she likes. But I have a paper script! I have to bother my doctor to call around to verify if they have a certain drug? What if the doctor called and they said "nope ,we don't carry it." What sense does that make? Avoid. Do your business elsewhere. Also, what is it with closing the pharmacy windows to take a siesta? They literally shut them down in my face. Are we in Spain? Bad business. Also, I went to Hannaford's right after and was treated like a human being. They filled the script (after confirming with the doctor's office - which makes absolute sense) then and there. Go to Hannaford's. Skip this place. read more

This is a small CVS located on Congress Street. Due to it's location, it can certainly attract a variety of different people, however, what I love most about this CVS is the pharmacy. The pharmacy is prompt and you can be in and out pretty quickly. The pharmacists are incredibly nice and go out of their way to make sure that you know what you are getting and what the medication your getting entails. As far as the store, because it's compact, it can seemed stuffed with items, however, the staff keeps it organized and they keep it clean. If you are looking for a pharmacy in the Portland area or you need something quick to pick up, this CVS is definitely a great option. read more

I've picked up prescriptions from this location multiple times with issues. I would stop in quickly before work, and schedule a pickup time that's extremely important for my busy schedule, and every time I need to wait the extra 15+ minutes for them to refill it. There's always not enough staff to manage the influx of customers, resulting in long lines and unnecessary waiting. Overall, not a reliable resource, but it's the only one i have. I hope the staffing recognizes the flaws it has. read more

Sunburned, my fiance and I passed by this CVS and immediate walked in looking for comfort. It's a bit packed, but you'll find all your regular drugstore items. The check out was a little slow -- sorry, I live in New York, so time is relative -- but the cashier was so nice and taught me a trick with my finicky credit card that won't always swipe correctly. The people that work move as slow as death. I feel as though I have been waiting in this line forever. I can see backup coming to the registers. It seems as though I am on top of a Mountain using a pair of binoculars to look at it a field miles and miles away as a slow feeble man crawls across from one side to the other. I absolutely love this CVS. They had a huge selection of razors which was really helpful for me.

this store is crowded into the space and it's therefore pretty hard to navigate- even tougher for the customers i've seen on wheels. the cramped nature of the store has 2 additional ramifications: most importantly, the product selection here is way smaller than your typical CVS. less importantly, the store feels kinda dumpy. and seemingly unrelated to its size, checking out at this CVS takes soooo long. haven't used the pharmacy, had a great experience with the photoprinting kiosk, thus 3 stars rather than 2. read more

I found all the odd items I needed and the staff are super kind. Be aware that this store is kind of on the "bad" side of town (if Portland actually has a rough area). Lots of pan handlers outside. read more
