Ordering a prescription online is the surest way to get it fouled up. I almost always have to call the pharmacy after ordering online. The pharmacy is the most ridiculous at this location so choose another. I called asking about them printing off my prescription history and they specifically asked how far back would I need. So, I said I need a history for the last 10-15 years. I was cheerily told to just come on in and they would do that. I immediately went in to be told I can get 3 years only. And, I quote the pharmacist here: " So if you need more you will need to call your insurance and I know that sounds like a pain in the a*$ but that's all Walgreens will do. So I used AI to know better and As surely as God Almighty lives, I found the form for requesting the records by fax or email to a Walgreens which is set up for this purpose. What you get at ABD is old fashioned service that I thought perished from this planet in the 1950's. It seems physically bigger (with wider aisles), like there's more options (if you've never perused their plant-based selection in the freezers... wow!), and in general it's just easier to navigate (the layout of the store and the parking lot). 1. This Walmart's parking lot is terrible. The entrance/exit is confusing, and people just drive through the spaces like it's an open field. Be careful friends! 2. You can't access the garden center from the outside, you need to go all the way inside, then carry all your plants back to the front to cash out. 3. They don't have tap to pay, so if you don't have your physical card with you... SOL, babe. 4. The store could use a deep clean. 5. The self check out kiosks are the worst (the employees guarding them are also super unfriendly). There's like eight of them and every single time I come, maaaaaaybe half are operational. They're clunky and slow. Don't get in line for this, the line with the actual cashier always moves faster.

I'm amazed by how huge this store was and the variety of everything you could ever need and more. I also liked that there are different sections that have Maine Made items and that there are little signs that say "local" if you wanted to pick up some regional items. I really wanted to pick up some fresh Maine milk, and Maple BBQ sauce, but unfortunately since I was at the tail end of my roadtrip I couldn't take much expect for a small bag of salt and vinegar potato chips and my sandwich bags; however, if I come back to Portland, I'll know where I can buy some regional goodies!

There are plenty of pre-made options if you're looking for food on the go (although the chicken wings at $9.99 a pound are a total rip off), a dedicated local product section (please expand!), and some interesting international offerings (chive dumplings!). My only complaint is that it is weirdly organized - like the pasta sauce and pasta section at the end of the wine aisle (wine and pasta do go together, but in a grocery store?). I would love to see this location expand the local and international offerings, and maybe have some kind of newsletter? It feels like a community hub, and I know they do a lot to help the immigrant community but it wasn't very apparent to me as a customer.
