Walgreen park avenue, grand junction There is little resolution in writing a review. Nothing changes. But I will write this for my own satisfaction. I started using the pharmacy from Walgreens on Park avenue when my daughter worked there. It was 7 years ago. I get one script filled there, all my other scripts are sent somewhere else. They are the worst. They have closed for days at a time with little warning in the middle of my script being filled because they did not have a pharmacist. They have changed their hours without warning, sometimes being closed on the weekends. The list goes on. My doctor writes my medication so that I have a large bottle that lasts 3 months and costs about 55 dollars. When I went to get my refill today the price was 133 dollars. I tried to haggle with them but they said that was the price. When they handed me my script there were 10 little bottles in the bag, that cost WAY more. They never informed me they were making a change. I don't know how they can do this. It is not what my doctor wrote as the script. I will have to jump through some hoops with my doc to get my scripts sent somewhere else. If I have my way I will NEVER use this horrible place again. This pharmacy has been great in the past put had big problems now with long fill times, closing during regular hours because they can't maintain staff and long hold times on the phone. I'm about to switch to another pharmacy. read more

Severely understaffed and under-trained. If you call 3 times with a question about a refill you will get 3 different answers, one of them has a possibility of being correct. I've got text messages that my prescription is ready to be picked up only to arrive and say they cannot fill it. I call a day before hand to confirm the medication is in stock and am able to pick it up the following day. I also make sure to call the day of pick-up, sometimes they don't have it, say they are waiting for approval and it's during the weekend making you miss doses. This medication isn't rare or on any kind of shortage. Walgreens needs to stop stretching their staff so thin. read more

Staff very friendly but way too slow. For this many really elderly customers with walkers coming in for flu shots today and you're asking if they've checked in by que code with their phone and of course none have.... Maybe more employees needed, I had to wait over 1.5 hours for my prescription it was called in at 8:30 pharmacy opened at 9 and I was there waiting at 9 and got med and left at 11:15. read more

Don't go unless you want to wait for a long long time. I have never waited at a pharmacy for so long. Obviously the manager doesn't care how long the patrons have to wait or they would hire an extra pharmacist. No stars. read more

They have closed off the pharmacy access inside to give COVID shots. That means you must use the drive through to pick up prescriptions. If you try to call, you will get a recording that they are helping other customers and that there are three ahead of you. We tried 3 times to get through by phone and got the same message and no one picked up. Plus they "short of help ever since they started giving COVID shots" s started by the window clerk. Plan to wait at least a half hour if you're at the end of the line. This is 9-10-21. read more

Way too slow! We waited for 20 minutes for a basic Rx that was refilled on the phone 2 days prior! Please get more staff, the drive-thru should be efficient! Once against n: 20 minute wait in Drive thru for an Rx that was called in 2 days ago. And again.....unreal! And again. Waited TEN minutes just to be waited on. Then, they took the inside customers first. Update: called TWICE to confirm Refill before we left out of town. Not ready! RUDE drive thru service. Not sure how they stay in business.. Update: 4 cars in line. 20 minutes and counting......as soon as I get to the window I'll be asking for a transfer. What a joke. Hire more people if you cannot be efficient with your paying customers time!!!! read more

I first have to give a huge shout out to Kevin! We started out on vacation and realized when we were halfway there we'd forgotten the suitcase with my husband's meds. His doctor's front office staff was blocking the message we needed a call in ASAP. Kevin even went as far to call for us and they told him the doc had 72 hours to call in a refill. Seriously. But Kevin said to check back because he would put it in the computer and we could get on the road and have it filled at any store. And yes, Kevin did just that. So a big thank you to a stellar employee, which are few and far between these days. It meant more than you know! read more

Seriously? Your pharmacy is drive through only and the line is incredibly long. Terrible customer service. Avoid Walgreens at all costs! An hour to wait in line... read more

If I could do zero stars I would. The WORST customer service. I had three prescriptions sent there yesterday at 3pm. I called, waited on hold for 45 minutes and the girl verified they were received and I could pick up after 5. Arrived at 6, waited in line for 30 minutes to be told they had only processed one, but had not yet filled it. And it would take another hour minimum for them to process and fill the rest. When I stated that I lived out of town and already called to confirm, the tech decided to whine about how she had already spent ten hours working and had to stay longer and didn't want to be there. Little did she know she was talking to a medical worker who frequents 12 hours shifts... I left and had my scripts sent to Safeway on Horizon. Way better people. This Walgreens does not have it together at all and I will not be back. read more

Great pharmacy. My daughter was having her wisdom teeth yanked a 8AM. While she's under they send me off to get her prescription for afterwards. They tell me they will call when she is done to come get her. Ran into Walgreens early about 10 mins before they opened. The pharmacists saw me and came out to see what I needed, but mentioned they didn't open til 9. Told him what was happening. He happily took the prescription and had me out of there by 9:10. Made it back to the doctors office just as she was coming out of surgery. Great help, very accommodating, and genuinely glad to help. I give them high marks. read more

This is the worst pharmacy in town. They never have even one full box of my 84 year old mom's size of insulin syringes, even though they are Walgreen's own brand, and they market themselves as a source for diabetic care! Then this afternoon was the last straw. I was the third car in line and waited 15 minutes in their drive-up. It was the Labor Day holiday, and I was there to pick up my mom's insulin. I got to the store at around 4:55 p.m. Their service is excruciatingly slow, though, and when the cars in front of me were gone and I finally reached the window at 5:10 p.m., the woman behind the window just said "Sorry, we're closed." I couldn't believe it. I said, "But I've been waiting in line for 15 over minutes! I got here before 5:00 p.m.!!" She didn't care, said again they were closed, she said she couldn't serve me because her "drawer was gone." The hours on the window said Monday-Friday they were open until 10:00 p.m. There was no notice of any special holiday hours. Horrified and worried, I said, "What do I do if my mom needs insulin?" The Walgreens lady said, "She'll have to go to the E.R." Do NOT use this pharmacy. read more
