I've lived all over the US and if this isn't the worst Walgreen's, then it's pretty damn close. I moved here and gave them two chances to earn my business. Prior to even needing a refill I brought a list of all our prescriptions with insurance documentation. First encounter, I waited more than 30 minutes to pick-up a RX that had been phoned in 6 hours earlier. They had no record. (I am SURE the doctor had transmitted it). Second occasion, again nearly a half hour wait to pick up RX refill for my wife. Was told the Rx was going to be over $200! Said, we have insurance with a co-pay of ZERO. Was told her insurance info wasn't in the system and if I wanted it I needed to pay the $200. Very, very unhelpful. That's why we go to Wal Mart...no hassle, notification and personable staff. read more

The pharmacy has a full staff of people working registers just to tell you to come inside and wait 30 minutes after waiting 30 in the drive thru. The notification for pharmacy are inconsistent. While waiting I saw employees rolling their eyes and joking about customers who were frustrated and left. The person who was filling prescriptions was held up for about 20 minutes talking to a customer who already had their order. All business? Nope, about where he went to college. read more

The pharmacy is a joke after 5PM. Had an inhaler called in from Wakemed Urgent care around 6:30-7:00PM on 10-17-25. We got there and they had no trace of the prescription in their system and had us make an account and they still couldn't find it. After about an hour, it was found in their "lost log" as they called it. Once they found it, they said to come back later to pick it up, so we got something to eat and came back roughly 45 minutes to an hour later for them to say the pharmacist was "too busy giving vaccinations" at 8PM. The lady at the drive-thru window told us to come inside to wait for it to be filled. Thankfully since this prescription isn't something that I need to live, we ended up just going home and planned to pick it up this morning. Thank goodness I called beforehand this morning, as they are out of stock. We waited over three hours in person to pick this up and we're told it was getting filled and worked on and would be done just for them not to even have it. read more

I have lived in here for over 20yrs. I shop at this Walgreens all the time. I have NEVER loved it but it is the ONLY game in town for 24hr Pharmacy for a busy family. I can say irrevocably I would never go here for my prescriptions otherwise. I shop here for other purchases simply because my time is valuable and they are so convenient. But their Pharmacy staff is RUDE, condescending and simply unprofessional. My husband and I are just as educated as a Pharmacist so I "love" being talked down to by their Pharmacy Techs - I am a long standing customer with 5 family members with prescriptions and excellent insurance that always goes right through so not high maintenance. Yesterday was the final straw- I have been waiting weeks for a prescription, I walked in to grab a few items which I do often. I dropped by the Pharmacy for the status when she indicates they did receive a shipment over weekend but it is first come, first serve. What, since when? Why does Walgreens encourage customers to get their app, why are all my prescriptions on the app to assist their staff with one less customer in their extremely long lines IF they are not going to notify me electronically? I will be pursuing this with their corporate office. I spend thousands of dollars in the other areas and spend over $500 monthly in family prescriptions. They just lost a good customer who is a high earning F-V citizen who is low maintenance. I am ecstatic Amazon is getting into the Pharmacy prescription game, they deliver nearly every day to my house so it will become my preferred provider for our family prescriptions. Anyone can read this as an indictment of all Walgreen's Stores because all the many I have visited over the past 10 years have been like the specific store in Fuquay-Varina, NC that I now describe. There is only one plus side for a Walgreens. Most are open 24/7 every day of the year but some are not. That's it for the plus side. Otherwise, what you walk into is a confusing, disorganized mess of perpendicular ailseways designed to expose you to every single piece of overpriced merchandise in the store. If you need an important prescription, you may die on your way to the Rx counter so carry a safety dose with you just in case. Cases is appropriate as there are many to run into scattered about the store; some disguised as merchandisers and others haphazardly thrown together without being priced so you will have to find an employee (who isn't there) what anything costs. All of these are obstacles to you trying to buy your medicine and leave the store so you will spend more time stumbling around articles you do not need. read more

This location has the typical Walgreens issues regarding horrendously long wait times. Expect to spend a half hour when picking up a prescription even if it's not a busy time of day. If you have to contact a pharmacist, expect to wait on hold for 20 minutes to access a central call center who will then transfer your call to the physical pharmacy to wait on hold for another 20 minutes. This store does have some unique problems I haven't experienced at other locations, though. I have to agree with other reviewers that some of the employees here are unusually rude and unhelpful. They have even been rude to my family's doctors who have had to call the store multiple times trying to figure out why prescriptions aren't getting filled or were filled incorrectly. One even lied to the doctor to cover up their mistakes. Mistakes include billing for twice as many doses as we received, incorrectly calculating copays, failing to run the prescriptions through insurance leading to incorrect pricing, filling medicines for the wrong dose, failing to follow doctor's instructions on the prescription, failing to fill prescriptions sent in, filling them too early, failing to call back customers when promised, and failing to respond to messages sent by doctors. These mistakes have lead to delays getting my family's prescriptions anywhere from one day to as long as a week. After speaking with our doctors, who are as fed up with the poor service as we are, we made the decision to switch to a non-Walgreens pharmacy. I am just hoping to help others avoid going what we went through. read more

If zero stars were possible, they would get zero stars. I'm not sure if it's the management systems that need improving, or they just need more staff. The individual people are nice, but they just seem to not be able to keep up, especially in the pharmacy. I have been given the wrong medication from the store, which is dangerous. When I tried to bring it to the store's attention, they were dismissive. When I have used the app and requested that medication's be shipped, they can't get that right, either. There are other pharmacies that are much better prepared to meet customer needs. read more

Doctor called in prescription on Friday am February 10th. Received automated call that afternoon saying it was ready. Went to pharmacy and was told they didn't have the prescription nor the medication. (plaxavid) Called back and found out they had both but had filed it because it wasn't covered by insurance? It was. Then was told would be ready on Saturday. Called at 10 and was told would be ready in 90 minutes. Called at 3 and was given the insurance bit again. (it is covered). This place is a total train wreck. Had the prescription transferred to Harris Teeter. No issues there. Done with Walgreens. read more

if it were possible to give this store a higher rating, I absolutely would. I very infrequently write reviews. Tonight we were in a bind as a family. Our pharmacy had closed which had our prescription. I called this store and Jazmyn answered. She was one of the most friendly pharmacist I've ever encountered. She was very upbeat, sounded very enthusiastic, and she was eager to help. She was able to pull our prescription from the other store and fill our prescription within 15 minutes. I arrived, and it was ready to go and I was greeted with a warm, friendly smile. If you don't have a regular pharmacy, I would highly recommend you to consider making this your home for all of your prescriptions. I love this Walgreens. This is a 24/7 store, so it is open at any time for you to buy the items you need. Everyone in this store is very nice and is respectful. To those individuals leaving one or two stars: wow, really?! You must have been lucky to NEVER work a retail or customer service job, with all of the nastiness you've been writing. I've actually worked in a pharmacy before and it is generally a NONSTOP job for the majority of their shift. They try to do their jobs as best they can and answer your questions as best they can as well. You should be aware of several things before you go getting pissed at them. Most of the wrong answers you get, such as NO, are due to your crappy insurance and two: they have another set of people calling you that are NOT physically located at the Walgreens, however, technology allows for them to use the same phone number. Please, keep in mind that they sometimes have issues with their phones or computers as us normal folk do. So, next time that those from this area of North Carolina leave a nasty comment, remember where you live and those fine southern manners and make everyone's day much better by hiding your embarrassingly nasty attitude. On Friday, Jan. 26, 2023 my physician called in a prescription to Walgreen Pharmacy on Green Street in Fayetteville, NC. She also faxed a prescription for the same medication to Express Scripts so I knew there would be a problem with Walgreen filling the prescription at the same time. So, I telephoned Express Scripts to let them know the situation and they told me to simply have Walgreens call Express Scripts for an over-ride. This prescription was for Ramipril, 10 mg. which is a very strong medication for high blood pressure. The girl was quite rude and stated that she would get to it later. I told her to call me when she had Express Scripts approval. She never called and the pharmacy is closed on Sat. and Sun., so no possibility of getting the new prescription until sometime on Monday. My BP this morning is 189/90. To say that I am upset is putting it mildly and if I have a stroke before I get the med. I will blame Walgreen. These girls need to realize that the pharmacy is the life-line for their customers and if they are lax in filling their prescriptions, they could be the cause of a customers death. Why are these rude girls working in the pharmacy? This girl should be either fired or placed in another part of the store. She obviously does not realize the importance of her position. read more

I submitted for a refill on a prescription a couple of days ago. Yesterday online it stayed it was pending. I sent my hubby over to see about this prescription and they told him the dr needed to submit another one. No one bothered to call me YESTERDAY to let me know there was a problem. Of course today when I found out I got into contact with my dr. The prescription was received by Walgreens who of course didn't have any in stock and the cutoff time had already passed to be able to receive it today when I actually needed it. When I called to find out why the online site showed the prescription wasn't covered the lady wanted to argue that they just received the prescription today and insurance wasn't covering it. I told her I looked at the insurance site before calling and it is a covered prescription. She did an over ride and found it is actually covered. I told her I miss the other Walgreens because they would've called me after I sent a request for a medication and a problem popped up. I wouldn't be in this situation where I found out a day or two AFTER I submitted for the medication on the Walgreens site that I needed to call the dr for another script. Typically the other Walgreens would even request a script and order the medication so I wouldn't be out. Not the 24hr Walgreens....it's just sad the difference in the Walgreens. They closed the good one. read more

Count your pills here! EDIT to add: And yes, the lines here during the daytime are also horribly long, just as the other reviewers stated. Was cheated out of half a month worth of one of my meds with no recourse other than them trying to get me to burn a refill *way* early. *Not* one of the narcotics, but one that I'm not even aware of a secondary market for since they're so easy to get legally. Mind you I made a couple mistakes. Mistake #1, not counting all pills immediately. This is the first time I've never been on a long term drug regime, so I didn't realize that you have to have zero trust for your pharmacist. Mistake #2, when Walgreens sent an early refill notice, I went ahead and filled it. Meaning I had my meds well before I should run out of the original supply. This came into play because instead of counting from when your *original* fill date was, they instead go by your most recent refill date. As this was my first refill and early, It was almost a week before I started in on my actual refill. Lesson learned: DO NOT re-fill early, that's just a method used to cheat you. I get three medications currently, two 30 pill / 30 day supplies (1 pill a day each, 1 morning for one, 1 night for the other), and one 60 pill, 30 day supply (2 pills a day, morning and night, so very easy to keep up with, just have to add one of these to each of the other two). I didn't notice until I was almost out that my 60 pill supply wasn't going to last anywhere near as long as my other two. Instead of getting 30/30/60, they only gave me 30/30/30. I called into the pharmacy and they seemed like they would work with me and told me to come in so I did. Turns out they had no interest in working with me, they just wanted to burn my next refill half a month early. She kept going on about how I should be out, and how "IF they had mis-filed it", and strongly implied that I was trying to steal from them. I had both my other meds with me to show them that I still had 14 left for both of them, and having run out today (already taken todays), the math works to 28 to match the 14 for the future, and then 2 for today where I hadn't had any yet, which was 30. That matches my guess that whoever keyed it into the dispenser did 30/30/30 even though the one clearly said 60. They wouldn't budge, however. They showed it being filled on the 5th, and today was the 27th, so if I only got 30 I "should be out". Well, I *was* out, however they wouldn't even make up for what I would be missing by their own BS math and instead kept trying to make me burn a refill on just that med early because "You should be out". I'm sorry, a 30-day supply filled on the 5th should NOT be out on the 27th. This is really, really simple math. It's also wrong in its basic assumption of start date, but even ignoring that it's *still* wrong and short by 8 days / 16 pills even using their own bad math. I'm also not interested in compounding errors by refilling one of three meds early when all of them are going to be long term use and that would just lead to me having to make more pharmacy trips ... though maybe that was their intention. Gotta get those ancillary sales after all. The worst part of it all was the pharmacist insisting that they didn't mis fill it and also the strong insinuations that I was the one stealing from them, and of course the 'Oh just refill early', which is just covering *their* mistake and just making me run out early at another time. *That* is what angered me and made me decide to never do business with this location again and what led to poor review. I'm not planning on ever using this location, or Walgreens at all in the future. In the meantime, I'll just end up going cold turkey on one of my meds for half a month until it's time to do the regular refill when the other two are out. At least now I understand why they send out the refill notice so early via text, because the earlier you fill it, the longer it will be before a person might notice a mistake, and the longer it is the easier it is for them to just blow you off. read more

Horrible customer service. The pharmacy called me about an order my doctor had made . Click the call went dead . They called again and Hung up on me . I called them back and the woman who took the call told me that nothing was called in for me in which I stated that they called me and stated the doctor had called in a script. I stated that I didn't know what it was about because I hadn't been to the doctor since the middle of October. She got very defensive and rude finally finding out what it was about but no apology. Then I went to pick up a refill that I had made online where it stated it would be done by 10am . It takes forever to get anything there. Not only are the workers slow but they are also rude! I understand having a bad day once in a while but they are rude all the time! I used to love walgreens because they were open 24/7 and the app was so convenient, but the last 2 years this location has really gone downhill. There is a constant staffing issue in the pharmacy as there seems to only be one tech working drive through and register even during the busiest times. The waits at either can be 30 minutes or more for a prescription that has been filled for days. Not okay. We will be switching soon. :( read more

They talked me into signing up for a discount card for prescriptions. When I went to fill a prescription of course it was not applicable. The last time I attempted to fill a script here it was so slow. I was waiting 20 minutes to pick up a script that I had called in advance to be filled. I ended up leaving without the medication, calling the doctor and having them call the script into a different pharmacy. read more

Stellar customer service last night! I wouldnt have taken the time to write this but the manager, Amy, was so incredibly sweet. My 7,000 pt coupon was not scanning so she went out of her way to make sure I got my points one way or another. My money situation isn't the greatest right now; and although it may not seem like a huge deal to others, it meant so much to me!!! I ended up getting 2 packs of diapers for about 5 dollars total!
