The pharmacy is terrible. I have been told my prescription was ready via text multiple times only to get to the window and be told I had no refills and they had contacted my doctor. This pharmacy manager has refused to fill my urology medication prescription on multiple occasions for every reason he can think of. 1. I don't live in the area and need to go to a pharmacy in my city.... I live 6 miles away in Royal oaks, basically Watsonville!!! (ridiculous) 2. We don't have the medication in stock per the same pharmacist... ( why don't you transfer your prescription) he said! I tried and they refuse to transfer it. 3. Prescription is for a different amount then you have been prescribed previously... (same dose, same medication, same pharmacist) The corporate Walgreens division has stated in phone conversations that this pharmacy manager is not filling my prescription as it was ordered. I've been dealing with this issue for over a year causing me ongoing harm as the pharmacy does not provide what my doctor ordered which is in ready supply per Walgreens corporate office phone conversations with me. He won't fill my prescription's correctly, he failed to order and receive my medications in the correct prescription. He wouldn't transfer my prescription to another pharmacy. I brought in a prescription to be filled. I was told it would take 2 hours. Four hours later they Rd me it was ready. I went to pick up my prescription the next morning at 6:45 am. There was one car in fro t of me. After 30 minutes I had to leave to get to work on time. Came back after work and it has taken over an hour and I still am waiting in line. This is the worst pharmacy in all of Santa Cruz County. Just try calling the Pharmacy to ask a question. Endless time spent on hold then they hang up. You call your put on hold for more then 10mins then someone picks up doesn't say anything and put you on hold or when your lucky enough to get someone their rude as heck there's no public relations here. I called begging to have my prescription soon, because I have an infection from nursing, need medicine and have to take my infant out to get it...I've been waiting 5 hours, and they rudely tell me 2 more hours.....with no sympathy whatsoever for my situation or regard for my health or my baby . I have been picking up subscriptions for my elderly mother for years. I had chosen Walgreens as I work out of town and the 24 hour feature was perfect. Every single time I try to pick up, the drive through has at least 7 cars and the service is ridiculously slow. Every time. This has been like this long before Covid. It's an hour wait no matter if you're inside or at the drive thru. The staff on the whole is woefully understaffed and no urgency is shown for our time waiting in line. It's very frustrating. I went this morning at 8 am, and, surprise!... only one car ahead of me and still had to wait 30 minutes for a simple pick up. Might be time to look for another pharmacy. read more

They were actually open the hours they have posted on-line, which is a great start. The clerk was very attentive and guided directly what I needed and I was in and out in minutes. Walgreens on freedom is the slowest pharmacy I've ever seen. Lines stay long and I've waited in line for at least 45 minutes. Then when I finally get to the counter there busy doing something else are they just disappear. Then they can't find your medication. Walgreens in Watsonville is close to getting an Elder Abuse suit filed against them. I have spent hours on hold multiple times to stop automatic refills that have never been requested, continuously verbalized to them in person and over the phone that prescriptions are not ready to be refilled. Then we receive a partial prescription of 5 pills because because they do not have the medication. Sitting in line for an hour only have to do it again in 2 days. Finally had it switched out pharmacy and personally went to them stated we are not on automatic refill and have switched pharmacy's delete all information. They said they would, then 1 month later, we're unable to pick up prescription at our new pharmacy because it's sitting at Walgreens. They are abusing the elderly and disabled. Don't get caught in their web of deceit. A 1 rating is more than they deserve. read more

Once again my doctor says I have 4 refills left, my medicine bottle says 4 refills left, every other Walgreens tells me I have 4 refills but this Walgreens here on freedom hasn't given me my meds in over a week. I'm a fully disabled man with no leg and was shit 23 times still have over 11 bullets in my body in my spine. Came in today because no one had called me to tell me that the proscription was ready. When I got to the window I was told that they haven't called me because the j aura de was t covering it! When I asked how much it would be out of pocket I was told $1.99 ‍ and this is why my proscription is being held!!! ..... I was told it would be ready in 10 minutes which they wanted me to drive back around and get in line again. I'm writing this entirely about the pharmacy. It seems to me that Walgreens "mission" is to be a pharmacy for the people. At this Walgreens the mission is to make as much money as possible and SCREW the customer. They have a drive thru (aka parking lot). Twice in one month I was the 3rd car in line and got to the window after a ONE HOUR WAIT!. My brother had the same experience. The staff is so nice but they NEVER, NEVER have enough people!! I understand it would cost (more or less) 1/1,000,000,000th of their profits to hire another person. I'm stuck with Walgreens for now because of my United Healthcare insurance but I will be looking into changing as soon as this coronavirus thing passes. read more

Not only is there only one person behind the pharmacy counter every time I go in, but once having to wait I approached the young lady who with her tone of voice and attitude is obviously not happy where she works. After have heard her tell every person ahead of me prescription will be ready in two hours...my prescription was sent two days ago and yet was also told to go back in two hours. I'm sorry but the tactic to pacify your customers by saying there's a two hour wait is not working! Today I tried calling in to the pharmacy and during over an hour wait I did not once get a "I'm sorry for the wait we will be with you as soon as we can" no acknowledgement what so ever other than someone picking up receiver to only place me on hold again, if not hung up on then having to call right back and wait again. I called to speak to an associate other than pharmacy and spoke to a gentleman who took down my information prior to placing me on hold after saying he would go see what's going on at pharmacy...on hold once again only this time for only about 5 minutes then boom they disconnect me. Still haven't gotten a call back from the gentleman even after providing my contact information! Wish I could switch pharmacy unfortunately only one my Insurance works with. This is so unethical to treat customers this way. Even after continuous complains coming from other customers nothing has been done to resolve this issue! One they change what window to drop prescriptions at 20 min, go to drop off window 5 min, told 1.5 hours, wait in drive-thru 5 min, at window to pick up the prescription, girl forgot to scan the prescription, told 30 more minutes, park and drive up again or come inside. 10 minutes left of the 30. I wonder if they can get it done. I hate this pharmacy but all my husband's prescriptions are there and it's nice to be able to get the emergency meds. This place needs more staff, and staff that cares. 30 minutes up. Additional 16 minutes and its not ready, they have to scan again. But I finally got it almost 3.5 hrs later. read more

I'm so tired of this horrible pharmacy. They are slow, lack compassion and are never willing to go any extra steps to help you. I'm on two different medications that need prior authorizations. They will just tell you that they aren't covered, luckily I work in the medical field and know what the next steps are (hate to see what happens when people don't know). I had to ask them to send my doctor a form that states a PA is needed. This should automatically done. It's done by almost all pharmacies except walgreens. I have had some issues in the past with this store and was very hesitant when I had to return for a prescription among other things. I ended up speaking to the new manager and she was so friendly. I was discouraged with how long it took for my prescription to be filled. It took 9 hours and 2 trips to the pharmacy to be filled. I was told to wait for a call when my prescription would be ready and never received one. I called the pharmacy and was on hold for 30 minutes by pharmacy and was finally told my prescription needed to be preauthorized. Then tech put me on hold and said it would take one more hour.
