I came to this Walgreens to do a return of an online item that was purchased on their website. We had some issues with figuring out what was the issues. The young man at the register was nice and was trying to figure it out before he had to call for help. When his manager came, he too was nice about trying to figure out the issue as well. We finally found out what the issue was. Since they didn't sell that item in the store, it couldn't be returned there. Makes sense. He told me to maybe try the one further down Qns Blvd and they apologized for the issue (which wasn't their fault). read more

This Walgreens is located right across my doctor and it is pretty old looking. It doesn't have a parking lot and the lines to this place is very long. There are many bright white lights all over the ceiling that you can see from a street away. A well lit store! The problem I have with this store is that there are no self check out kiosks so you got to wait on a long line that is very slow. Sucks! read more

I have mixed feelings about the service. I've been going there for a long time to pick up my medication and, for the most part, things have gone smoothly. However, during my last visit, there was a major issue--they mistakenly gave my medication to someone else. I had to wait four days for them to restock it. Thankfully, I had a little left at home, but I still had to come back and wait in line for over 25 minutes to get it. I was definitely very disappointed by how the situation was handled. read more

Prior to its transition from a saddest Rite Aid (#1) to its current form now as a subpar Walgreens, this store has been on all sorts of dysfunction since day 1. I thought with the makeover that things would be better, but it's managed to match the output that its predecessor had in just a short couple of years. For awhile there, things were looking on the up and up: the store was renovated with wider aisles, new signage, fresh paint, and a renewed exterior. The bus stop for the Q23 is directly outside the front door, which might be the origin of the odor that some folks talk about prior to entering the store. It's either that or the many pigeons who cake the sidewalks / front doors with their feces. (#2) The main culprit for bad experiences in this store boils down to the inept service. People at the register are slow and unmotivated and they frequently are tending to something else than being out front. The pharmacy has its share of woes as well, which aside from being slow, has shown frequent mistakes with filling prescriptions. (#3) There are other pharmacies down the street, but many of them are not open past 6pm. Don't know what happened today but there was an extremely long line at the register all the way to the magazine rack, only 2 cashiers and it was moving very slowly as one register was held up by a customer with an issue. Went to quickly get my item which of course was locked up. An employee was coming over to unlock an item for another customer in the same aisle,only 6 feet away from me. I asked politely if she could also unlock my item after she finished with the other customer. She told me I had to ring the bell. I did. Instead of coming over to me, she walked to the end of the aisle to another customer who was acting oddly. After that she came back & walked right past me! I called after her but she ignored me & kept going. Incredibly rude! Ieft immediately because no one should have to beg to spend their hard earned money on a purchase in your store. Complete waste of time & unnecessary aggravation. I' want to support local businesses but this kind of horrible lack of customer service is why people choose Amazon instead! read more

The pharmacy is excellent at my local store (Cross Island Pkwy,Whitestone) drugs ready on time and they will call you when they are ready. The reason for the low review is the other items in the store. The prices are through the roof, everything is $8 or more, and $5 will buy you nothing! A large mouthwash was $10, etc. The local CVS has the same problem. On my last trip I got a coupon for $5 to use in the next 5 days on my next visit. The fine print says "no cash value", whatever that means. I go back to the store and buy 3 items that come to $40 and for that I get "5 points", whatever that is supposed to mean. We'll see what happens when I go back next time. Will they take a couple of dollars off these outrageous prices? Not very hopeful about that. read more

I wish I could give negative score for this store. I had trouble when returning items of online order at this store in past. Every time, the staff could not process return and blamed me not having proper info while the staff themselves lack knowledge of doing returns - they either could not locate the online order from my account (more than once, I had to go to a different Walgreens. The staff there located my order and made the return with no issues), or the staff had to call a manager to do it (in this case, the manager brushed it off when I mentioned the staff needs proper training on how to do online return). Today, my return experience got worse and was insulting as a customer. I could tell the female staff (long hair/Asian) did not know how to do it the moment when I told her the return is from online order (her body language - hesitation, tone and language - "oh?!,online" with blank look on her face, said it all). She even told me I should not purchase if I want to make a return. I questioned her why Walgreens has a return policy for customers then. She reluctantly started trying to process return. But she didn't even know which bar code to scan from receipt. After the failed attempt, she told me only manager can do online return (which is not true) and the manager was gone for the day; and told me to go back the next day. I pointed out the store has a manager for each shift and it's not possible there was only one manager. She was speechless and angrily pushed my item and receipt and told me to try the next check out staff (male, not sure about ethnicity). The male staff could not even find the item of my order from the system. I had to show him to scroll down of the screen to find it (never worked in retail, but it is common sense to scroll down the computer screen when there are arrows on monitor). He still couldn't process and showed me the screen for proof. Again, he told me only manager can do it and I should return the next day. When I saw register screen showed a message about the item is returned, I raised my concern about explaining /proving it was not returned the next day. He talked over me every time I tried to explain my concern (at least 3 or 4 times). I then questioned him why I had no issues when making returns at other Walgreens, but their store is not able to do it so many times, which brought so much inconvenience to me. He told me I should not visit his store and I should go to other Walgreens. Not even once, both staff had attempted to apologize for any inconvenience. Obviously they do not want to acknowledge their incompetence at their job and do not care about their customers at all. I certainly will not return. How can Walgreens hire these staff lacking the basic skills working at customer service and having no knowledge of using computer. It is a JOKE. read more

I have two major complaints about this store, which should make it suspect to the Walgreens organization. 1. In 2019, one of the licensed pharmacists there failed to check drug interactions between birth control pills and a newly prescribed muscle relaxant, both of which I obtained at the same location. There WAS in fact a dangerous drug interaction-that is, combined these medications acted as a roofie. I reported this to the location and to Walgreens and the store failed to fire this particular pharmacist. Horrifying. 2. Yesterday, it seems the pharmacy decided without warning to close 3 hours early. They did not notify patients who had prescriptions they needed to pick up. I only discovered that they closed early when I showed up at the location to pick up my meds. Because the pharmacy had randomly closed early, they also failed to inform me that my medication was out of stock. I didn't discover this until 9am this morning when I again showed up to pick it up. Absolutely appalling customer service and the Walgreens HQ should investigate this location and shut it down. read more

I haven never had an easy or positive experience at this pharmacy. It takes almost 20 mins to get anyone on the phone every time, without fail. I've never left a yelp review in my life bc I always give people the benefit of the doubt and it's never that deep. I just had to leave this one bc it's that bad. It should not be this complicated to get a prescription filled. The people who answer the phone are not consistent in their answers and I've seen people walk in and have to pay so much money for their meds bc of the insurance cards they brought it, even though they told them their insurance would cover it! I live in the neighborhood and this is my go to place rather then the other big name drug store that's located 4 or 5 blocks away on Queens Blvd. I've been to this location several times so my review is not based on a one time experience. The staff is very helpful. They might not be all smiles but they make the effort into finding what you are looking for. The store is well organized and very clean. I've been to places where things are knocked over and no one seems to attend it but not this place. It's also very spacious and you have room to browse around. You can pretty much find anything common for every day needs here. The pharmacy was extremely helpful and courteous. When they didn't have a prescription in stock. They called another local rite-aid for me and gave me a call back informing me it was available else where. I was very impressed and happy with the way they handled my prescription order. This place....THIS PLACE!!! Ok, let's face it - it's my own fault for going here even though I know I will hate myself for doing so about 10 seconds after I walk through the door. Selection-wise, the place is fine, I guess. They have stuff, just not a lot of it. If you're looking to get multiples of any of your favorite items (shampoo, face wash, etc), go somewhere else. If you do find the stuff you need and make your way to the checkout line, prepare to spend what feels like an absolute eternity there. I will never understand it - there have been times when only ONE person has been in front of me, and it still manages to take me at LEAST 10 minutes to get to pay for my stuff. There's just always a problem at the register - an employee doesn't know if an item's on sale, they don't have enough change in the register, something won't scan and the employee waits many many minutes until a manager comes to help, etc. I swear, this place is a black hole that eats up all of your time. Today I had an interesting experience with the pharmacy. I had a wisdom tooth extracted and my dentist phoned in a prescription. On my way home I stopped in to Walgreens and made sure they had received the prescription. Very nice young woman told me it had been received and I would be notified in an hour or so. Great. Three hours later I called to check on status. I used the automated system and got a message back saying it was still in progress. One hour later I called and spoke to someone who said it wasn't ready. This is 4 hours after the prescription was called in. I told her I needed to start taking this right away and asked when it would be ready. Her response was 'come in before closing (3 hours later) and it will be ready.' Then she said 'come in anytime and we'll have it ready.' I hung up and 5 minutes later I received a text and email notifying me my prescription was ready. When I picked it up the time noted on the prescription was 3:54pm. Two hours after it had been called in and two hours before my conversation with whoever. So my prescription sat there for two hours and no one notified me. IT'S A PRESCRIPTION. WHERE'S THE URGENCY??? Very sloppy. I'm switching to CVS. read more

I came into Rite Aid today and saw a marvelous redecoration. This is undoubtedly an effort to compete with Duane Reade across the street. Im a referring to the Rego Park branch. As any other big chain pharmacy, it has basically everything you need, spare vegetables. I have being going here for years and the new face-lift on the place is refreshing. I had a really awful experience with one Rite Aid Manager called Richi. This Rite Aid Store is located at 110-88 Queens Boulevard Flushing, NY 11375. Three week ago, I went to Rite Aid to make an order of developing one 35mm film roll and transferring all the digital files of the photography to a CD. The receipt significantly writes, "develop and CD only (no prints)." However, after one week of finishing my order, I am going to pick up. The assistant working in Rite Aid store made a mistake. They developed my film roll and printed each photo twice, rather than developed my film roll and scanned the photography and transferred the digital files of my photography into a CD. Thus, when I found this issue, I talked to Rite Aid manager Richi. Richi told me that it's my fault. I didn't order a CD. He would try to send back the pack and give me a CD including all the digital files of my images one week later. After a week, I went to Rite Aid store and talk to the manager Richi again. Richi said, the store cannot scan and transfer the digital files of the photography into the CD. At this time, I felt unhappy and complained the massy situation to Richi. Under my pressure, Richi agreed to finish my order within another one week. Unfortunately, one week later, I went to Rite Aid and talked to Richi again. He said the store cannot scan and transfer the digital images into a CD again. However, there is another woman assistant working in Rite Aid. She said, she can do it for me in one hour. Additionally, the woman assistant also found out the receipt of my order. The receipt exactly shows "develop and CD only (no prints)." This experience is horrible. The receipt apparently notes "develop and CD only (no prints)". Richi, you are a f cking liar. I am extremely dissatisfied and disappointed with Richi's working attitude and Richi's behavior. read more

I really love this pharmacy. They always have tons of discounted prices, a dollar rack and the pharmacists at the back are very efficient and friendly in fulfilling orders. In reading the other reviews, I wondered if people were reviewing the same Rite-Aid in Forest Hills. The one on Austin Street is awful; I dread going there on the rare occasion I have to. The one on Queens Blvd.... yes, the lines are slow. One cashier in particular is slow but always incredibly nice. But I can't understand the comments about the pharmacy itself--I love this pharmacy. The two pharmacists are consistently friendly, helpful and knowledgable. It really feels like a community pharmacy. Over the years, the pharmacy techs/clerks have not always been great, but over the past couple of years they have been good. But I'm most concerned about having good, competent pharmacists, and that has never been a problem at this pharmacy. I don't care as much about selections of toothpaste, candy, etc.--what I care most about in a pharmacy is the pharmacy. I've dealt with enough rude, semi-competent pharmacy staff in other pharmacies to really value the pharmacists in this store. read more

this store is like stepping back in time, and not in a sweet, nostalgic way. i can't help but feel that the Rite Aid corporation keeps it in this condition and hires the people they do just for a laugh. its a joke between my husband and i that "friendly roseanne" will be complaining about her coworkers, her boss, or her health while ignoring all the customers standing in front of her. try it. next time you go, look for the large woman complaining and then see if it's roseanne. there is an older woman with grey hair that is usually at the first register that's a doll, though. too bad she has to work with roseanne. read more

Like every Rite Aid, the lines can get long. But I love big drug stores and don't mind. This place has everything an apartment dweller needs - from light bulbs to sunglasses, to toys. And of course normal drug store stuff. People complain, but without this place, they are paying $11 for detergent and $4.50 for a bag of chips at the local supermarkets. We're lucky to have it, despite the lines. read more

The store is jammed packed with items, and the prices are decent too. I was carrying a tube of a lotion from home so I could find one in the store. The Pharmacist was very helpful to tell me where it was located, even though she looked very busy. The store manager followed me around, I saw him at the end of each aisle I was at looking at me, maybe because I had that tube in my hand? Was quite disturbing to look up and always see him wherever I went. Do I look like a thief? The lady at the register didn't talk except to tell me the price and to swipe my card again. Maybe the owner doesn't allow pleasantries? Overall I have to give a positive review, I went to CVS and Duane Reade and they didn't have the item I needed. read more

I totally agree with the reviewer who states that this store is VERY BADLY managed. It used to be a good store a couple of years ago.
