The pharmacy here is so disorganized. The lines are always long especially during rush hours. Today decided to come here around 2:30pm Hopefully it's not as bad as 6pm. Store - late afternoon/night cashier seem to be nice and patient w/long lines. The store is not big so things seem to run out&locked up so you have to ask for someone to open it to get certain items. Pharmacy - ever since Rite Aid closed dwn prescriptions were transferred over here. Had no problems ever since this happened until recently. No clue who the main pharmacist is. No one has name tags and what their position is compared to Rite Aid that closed dwn. Technicians or interns tend to be the helpling the customers on line. I get a txt reminder if I want a refill. I txt yes&response it will be prepared for pick up. Recently no response. I log on to the website, since I saw customer reviews saying no one picks up the phone and I click on meds I want refill for. Nxt day I get txt saying its out of stock. 2 days w/o medication b/c of early closing of pharmacy. I finally went to the pharmacy and they had the medication but it still had to be prepared so I had to wait. Switch to another pharmacy if you can! read more

Came to pickup an online order. After waiting 10 minutes in line at the register, was told to pickup in the photo section. No one is there at Photo, and no one responded to requests to help. Checker was very rude when I complained that no one was there to help. Wouldn't recommend going into this store to shop. read more

I wanted to know whether I could recycle plastic bags at their facility. By the door there are 2 pails - 1 that says trash and another right next to it that says "recycle". It doesn't say what they recycle as they do in other establishments. So I asked one employee who said they recycle everything including plastic bags.. When I asked her whether a plastic bag recycling vendor comes for that she wasn't sure. She recommended that I ask someone else. I found someone who said he was a manager, and he said the two pails are not even meant for customer use. When I showed him that it was cleary in a customer area (I think near an ATM machine), he said it's only for batteries.. When I asked him why it doesn't say batteries anywhere he said they have a box for batteries. So I asked him where the box it's and then be said "have a good day". Walgreens is a big corporation and clearly some of their stores do participate in recycling, but it was clear that this store has no interest In providing information or according to him accessibility to recycling since according to him the recycle bin that I saw clearly marked recycle wasn't even intended for customer use. I needed ear drops for an ear infection. It took these bastards 3 days to get a medication that is used every day by kids, swimmers...everyone. I was at Walgreens Pharmacy for my annual Covid shot, the Receptionist was very nice and helpful. When I called to seat in the waiting area for the shot; the place is small; a large garbage can with no cover placed right in front of the seat, it is very unhealthy; because sitting so closed to the garbage can. The small area is very filthy and dirty. the counter is messy, the syringe disposable container on the counter is filthy; it lose it's original color. the black and gummy looking trimming around the edge of the wall, made me shiver, I want to leave the place as quickly as I could. my covid prescription was send to Walgreens. They did not fill my meds. I called no one answer. The next day, my sore throat got worse. Still, it took Walgreens to fill my prescription late in the afternoon. You figure they would work on it right away because the medicine is Paxlovid (for COVID). The store is not the neatest Walgreen's, but it is fairly empty in terms of other customers. Which is why they probably only station 1 or 2 people to work the register. Thus store is probably the smallest Walgreen's I have ever been to. The fact that there are less customers should mean the line should either be short or move fairly quickly. That is not the case. Whether you are 3rd or 10th in the line, it'll take you awhile before you can checkout with your item. So what my wife and I do here, is one if us would wait in line and the other would browse through the aisles to see if there is anything on sale or that we need. I would recommend coming here only if you don't have a choice, because you can expect to wait for quite some time in line. The representatives are nice, but its just that service is slow. read more

The pharmacists and pharmacy techs are so bad at this location. They are so slow and unhelpful. I remember the last time I went their for my prescription they had a sign outside that said 15 minute wait time for prescriptions. I gave my script and the tech said it will be ready in an hour. I asked about the sign outside. He responded back "yeah but we are busy." I took my script out of his hand and went to the private pharmacy on kissena blvd next to McDonald's. Their pharmacy is the best! We have been going there for years. You do wait sometimes, but that is because they are thorough and take their time with you and don't make you feel like cattle. Today I called in a prescription and when I spoke to the pharmacist Louvin he told me it wasn't covered by our Insurance, but then he put me on hold for a second and then came back and said he had found a coupon for $10.00 off. Good store with good selection of items to choose from. Prices are same as others. My only complaint is the pharmacy department. Far too often, there is a long wait just to drop off a prescription. When you call you're put on hold far too long and it's just ridiculous. However, the pharmacy staff are all so friendly and they always ask about my other family members even when I am just picking up for me. Walgreens why do you tease me?? You are so close and so very convenient and yet you fail me...why??? This place was once a Wendys which I miss because there really aren't any close ones around here but I am over that and have moved on. When I first found out that a Walgreens was coming to Fresh Meadows I was happy about it and then reality set in and then disappointment. This place rarely has anything. They don't usually have the common nail polish colors, beauty products, body washes, household items etc., no mosquito repellent just the super Deet'ed kind. It almost always seems that they are in the middle of restocking but never do. The other major issue is that there is almost always a long line. Need to pop in and pop out for something?? Think again! You may get rockstar parking but you shall wait on line and wait and wait. They need more people on the registers for sure or maybe even another register all together. Waiting is cool and all but it often can get out of hand here. Walgreens I am not sure why you waste your money on this location if you are not going to keep it stocked. I cannot tell you how many times I stop here first because its not far from where I live and so convenient only to wind up having to head to CVS or Rite-Aid because guess what, the item that I wanted was not there . If this is how its gonna be Walgreens...then bring back Wendys! LOL! I totally agree with the other reviewer here who said that. Also, as far as remodeling...I have not seen anything like that and im not sure why i would the place hasn't been around all that long. If anything, they may have re-arranged a few things but that is pretty much the extent of it. It does get one star because SOME of the people who work here are pleasant sometimes, the store is usually somewhat cleaner than the Rite-Aid nearby and better lit. Most of the stars are earned for sheer convenience of location with parking. The pharmacy almost always will make you wait, because there is almost always someone they need to deal with that they think requires 2-3 staff, rather than taking the next person online at the next register while one of them deals with the complicated person in the meantime. They recently re-did this location. It used to be the biggest dump. And now it is completely remodeled. They moved things around a bit and made it more efficient and neat. The beauty supply section is finally stocked! The shelves would often be empty. And I would have to go to another store for what I needed. They also added fresh food. Cheese, frozen foods, more breads. It is definitely night and day from what it was before. Much nicer. You actually want to come shop here :) read more

I like this Walgreen because its close by to my job. It has everything you need and the prices are reasonable. Stopped by today to purchase a BP cuff, because my old phone was already messed up and I require one for work. Got the standard version for $16.99. Pretty cheap and affordable in my opinion . Uf I could give the pharmacy no stars I would. The pharmacy is slow and screws up your insurance. After bringing my wife to see the nonsense that goes on shes is switching pharmacies just like I did. The Walgreens motto is IC3. Which means they see more than 3 people in a line. If you try to checkout in the front you are lucky if there is no line. If the line gets real long like when I was there you can rest your stuff on the photo counter. read more

I enjoy this Walgreen's. I have hopped off of the Q25 many a times to stop here and grab something on my way to class... a notebook because it was the first day of school and I completely forgot to buy school supplies, some pens because I like pens, some filling-replacement tooth stuff for the time I broke a tooth. I go in, I look for what I need and almost always find it, and then sometimes the cashiers ring me up for some savings that I didn't know about because I didn't have the coupon or the Walgreen's card (I'm assuming there is a Walgreen's card). read more
