Why is it every time I pull up to the window of this pharmacy there is always a sign in the window that says no pharmacist on duty there for no prescriptions can be handed out by state law! 2days in a row! Terrible/THE WORST service. The pharmacy is the ABSOLUTE WORST. Terribly rude and don't care for their patients or clients. I sat in the drive thruwaiting for my COVID test (that I had a scheduled Appointment for) and no one acknowledged me for over a half hour at the window. I typically am non confrontational in these situations, but finally rang the bell for service and was told "we will be with you in a sec" and the hung up on. Finally after another 15-20 min. someone came to assist and they were very rude and didn't seem to want to help me at all. I will not be using Walgreens (especially the one in Elmwood Park on Harlem and Diversey) again. Also, I have called them and have been on hold numerous times for over an hour. I just don't understand this. So frustrating and disappointing that a place of business can treat customers like this. I woukd give zero stars if I could. read more

Lovely slightly older Walgreens wtih a big parking lot and access to two major streets; it was kind of like stepping into an Italian American film short. Waiting in the check out line, one older lady was spouting off on some topic and apologizing to another lady within earshot. The other lady was like "don't apologize for nuthin'...you gottado whatyagottado, sometimes." A bratty child was misbehaving, throwing a fit...and for all the people that complain about parents not responding to their bratty kids and letting them misbehave, ain't none of that happening here! I am surprised that this Walgreens does not have a Blood Pressure Machine. However, I was told that the pharmacist would take it for you. So we sat down and waited. After about 10 minutes I had to ask again to see if I misunderstood because I was feeling like we were even noticed. When I asked again I heard the pharmacist say to the assistant "yay, when I have a chance or time" (like wth who says that in front of the customer). Note to pharmacist; if someone is asking you for help, especially blood pressure it is so unprofessional to make them wait longer knowing it can potentially get worse/higher. My only wish is that the Walgreens machine I purchased from your company would work correctly, then I wouldn't need your help Mr. pharmacist. What happen to the good old days of customer service! Spent a whole hour in their drive thru trying to pick up one prescription, the absolute worst drive thru, it's a parking lot

Pokey. Well that I can understand. But every time I would order my son's seizure meds they were 99% on backorder. I even ordered a week ahead and still the same answer. When you ask when will you get your order in, their answer is always "I don't know". You ask where's the nearest location and they tell you that Mt Prospect or other not so near suburbs. They said no nearby town here had any. SoI called the Franklin Park location and found out that they had plenty. Then the next time the refills were due....you guessed it. Avoid going unless you like wasting your time and getting attitude from ugly, dumb people. Hour photo pick up turned into 24 hr photo pickup however the price was not adjusted. After wasting my lunchbreak to pick up one hr photo- 8 hrs after the promissed time was still not ready! I had returned the next day, stood in line for photo pick up and no one was available to assist me. It was a Saturday and they only had one employee in the whole entire store at that time. Asked the lovely lady at the checkout to page for assistance in photo- 10mins later still noone showed up. had 4 ppl behind me. Then suddenly 2 employees slowly came out from the back room and started giving me dirty looks. I HAD NOT COMPLAINED NO SAID ANYTHING TO ANYONE. girl who checked me out did not say hello, thank you - she just kept starring at me like she wants to vomit. very poor service. read more

It's becoming ridiculous that they consistently hire an incompetent pharmacist to work at this location. I come every month to pick up my prescription, and still, to this day, they always get it wrong. My doctor's prescriptions are printed, so they are legible to read and understand. How is it that the same people continue to make the same error? It's beyond comprehension. I live a few blocks away, so this is my neighborhood location. With the poor service that I have repeatedly received, I can guaranty you that the elderly get worse treatment, especially those who do not voice their experience. I can go a day or a week without my medication, but others can't do the same. There needs to be a full-on investigation with each pharmacist that operates and works in this location. These mistakes are too consecutive to be occurring. Not aware if they are working with no sleep or overworked. But it's unacceptable........ Seniors beware. I am a senior and went in to get my flu shot. I was told they were out of vaccines for seniors, and don't know when they'll be in stock! " Call us in 2 days to see if the vaccine is in". Didn't offer a different location to get the shot. I don't drive, so I had to walk 5 blocks back home without the shot. read more

I usually go to this Walgreens for my prescriptions. My daughter got prescribed a mouth rinse for a sore throat. Key word mouth rinse. When pharmacist gave my husband instructions he specifically said that she can swallow the mouth rinse with no harm done. But when we were at our doctors office the doctor was very serious about not having my little one swallow it. When my husband arrived with medicine he repeated the instructions and I was so upset. If I weren't home he might of let her drink it. I called the pharmacy back and spoke to a lady. I explained the situation and asked her to tell me what was in the mouth wash since my receipt didn't have anything but "magic mouthwash" not even the real name to the RX. The pharmacist who gave my husband the wrong information name is Anthony! I told her that the lidocaine in this mouthwash should not be swallowed!! read more

While visiting this particular Walgreens, I was taken a back with the sad realization that stores everywhere are short staffed due to the economy. It makes no difference whether it is a mom or pop store or a major corporation; the economy is hurting everyone. There are millions who are in need of jobs, but the positions are no longer available due to lack of sales. Service suffers due to lack of staff, and this particular Walgreens appeared to be booming because there were only 3 employees available to service all of the store. Despite the fact that I loathe waiting, I can not fault them a star due to lack of staff. Those who were working were friendly, accommodating, and patient despite it all. It's a reality one must consider now when writing a review. I had placed an online photo order. The person who processed my order had the decency and consideration to call me at home to make me aware that my photos would not appear as they did online. One of the heads would be cut off. Apparently the software online isn't 100% accurate. She saved me the aggravation of coming in and being angry. She gave me a better more inexpensive option, and that made me all the more happy. I had used another Walgreens the night before and was ticked at the results. No one had called me at that Walgreens to forewarn me. I resubmitted my order and had it set to pick up an hour later. I waited. And I waited at the counter. The pharmacy and the checkout lanes were 10 deep. For once, I was not aggravated. The realization of what has happened to our economy and the feeling of being blessed to have a roof over our heads, food on the table, made me realize that waiting was not a big deal. There are worse things to be angry about, more things to be thankful for. I received my pictures after waiting almost 15 minutes, and I was very pleased. read more

When you buy razors and asked employee to unlock it since all of them are under lock , they have to walk you to register ... Wtf . I swear I have never heard or seen such b/s ... Worst pharmacy ever! Every single person working at the pharmacy is very incompetent . I went there to get my prescription 5 days before I was supposed to start talking my first pill and this lady said it was too early and that they will give me a call. Well I never got a call ! And I called and asked why, they darred to say they had the wrong number . So I asked them to confirm what number they had , they said they deleted it from their system because it was wrong . I'm like how do you know u had the wrong number if I didint confirm ? And if you had the wrong number and u knew that why didn't u ask me for my new one when I came here last time ? I had my daughter go in thee mind you she is a young African american girl she was getting toothbrushes and was looking for shampoo for me they followed her around the store and accused her of trying t steal make up my child is only eleven and i do not permit her to wear makeup of any kind. when she came back to the car she was in tears saying they said she tried to steal. Tonight I went to the pharmacy at this Walgreens. I arrived 10 mins before they closed. Girl working at the counter was taking care of a customer. When she was done a car drove up to the pharmacy window. She turned and took care of that customer first, ok I didn't say anything. About 5 mins later a different pharmacy tech took our name and we started to discuss the medication. Conversation took about 4 mins. I was ready to pay and said ok I will take this medication and he says to me sorry we're closed we close at 5. I couldn't believe it. I was there 10 to 5 and first pharmacy tech took care of a different customer before me and I was there first. So I say I was here before 5 and the first pharmacy tech had the nerve to say to me 'no you weren't'. Hmmm I was there before the drive up costumer and I heard when you told them their prescription was not sent to this Walgreens and they can fill it but not until tomorrow. So I look at my clock and it's says 5:02. I say to them. It's 5:02. I have been standing here and talking to the second tech for 5 mins already. I was here before 5. She tells me our registers are closed and we can't do anything. They turn to the pharmacist who tells them to go ahead and check us out. So the first pharmacy tech is standing there smirking. Worst customer service ever. We were so annoyed we didn't even get the over the counter stuff we needed. Great job Walgreens. You lost our business. We will shop CVS from now on. read more
