Terrible customer service, not helpful with prescription refill when asked for assistance

Boyfriend just got out of hospital yesterday, they sent his prescriptions here. I showed up at around 1:50, there were several signs that said they get back at 2 from lunch. So I sit there and wait for them to open. At 2:06 a worker walks by and says "Oh they're not open today". Was it that hard to put a sign that said they wouldn't be there? So we call the hospital and ask them to send it to a different Walgreens. Well when we showed up at that one, they said that this Walgreens marked it as "filled", so they can't transfer it since it's a one time prescription! How can it be filled if they're not even there?? Fine, so I'll get it today, Sunday. I show up when they're supposed to open and now they do have a sign that says pharmacy closed until Monday. I understand staffing shortages but this is ridiculous read more

They screwed up the RX(for like the 20th time). The assistant admitted his error but said he couldn't fix. The manager lady then denied their error and refused to help costing me $100 extra due to their mistake. It was a fairly easy fix to the problem they caused and they refused. The assistant said he is overworked and makes mistakes as his excuse. Was literally told you should unpackage your RX and check in front of them to see if they screwed up. Then couldn't say they would even fix it then because it had left their hands. FYI, their automated system is complete crap. read more

We used Walgreens several years ago but switched due to poor customer service. I recently had to use Walgreens due to my pharmacy being out of my current script. Nothing has changed. I had to make 6-7 phone calls to get all the info that Walgreens requested for insurance and manufacturer discounts and it was obvious that the customer is way down the list of priorities. Even the girl at the window was not pleasant and put my script in the drawer with my CC and walked off not saying a word. Never again. read more

I tried to go get my test strips and lancets today almost 4 weeks after they had been prescribed (apparently the pharmacy "ran out") and the Pharmacy Manager KELLY told me once again that I couldn't pick them up because now she needed authorization from my insurance and doctor (again). I don't understand why they wouldn't contact me to tell me these things? I've been calling for weeks and I get told they are out. She did not reach out to my doctor for authorization out of spite ( I HAD TO CALL HER MANAGER AT WALGREENS TO MAKE SURE SHE SENT THE FAX TO MY DR) She told me I should get a new pharmacy and that they don't deliver medications when they absolutely do! She also brought up the fact that I previously reviewed her on yelp due to her horrible customer service and incompetence running a pharmacy where people really need their prescriptions and thanked me for it! So unprofessional!!! So here you go KELLY! Here is another one, you truly lack the ability to help customers who need their prescriptions. It's very sad that people like you are put in the position to control people's meds. It's actually dangerous!!! Mind you I'm 8.5 months pregnant and need to send my blood sugar results in to my high risk Dr every week! Haven't been able to do so thanks to Miss Kelly the manager! read more

This Walgreens has the worst pharmacists ever. They are so rude and disrespectful. People are coming that are sick and need medicine, the LEAST they can do is be kind. Especially considering the rough year everybody has had. It's free to be kind... they don't have to charge for it. Or maybe Walgreens does? I was asking questions and she was so rude in her responses. She just didn't want to answer anything, sorry I have TWO questions about the medicine. Do yourself a favor and go to a different Walgreens or do what I did and start going to CVS instead. CVS Pharmacists are so respectful, nice and care about your questions. read more

I went in today to pick up an OTC medication. It was marked $1 more than the special sale price listed. I purchased 6 things total and of those 6, 3 rung up for a higher price than listed. One thing was $3 higher than listed. Eye cream was posted as $23 on sale for $20. It rung up as $23. Half of the things I purchased that had a special sale price either rang up for more than what was posted or needed a coupon that you have to have at check out. Very sneaky Walgreens. Walgreens must be treating the pharmacy staff horribly because this weekend there is no pharmacy staff. Pharmacists are highly educated and trained people and didn't become pharmacists to be treated like cattle or whatever is happening. Most doctor visits become a prescription, but who is going to fill the prescriptions without pharmacists? Trust that you do not want untrained people doing it or you just might end up dead. Something nationwide has to be done right now to keep pharmacists and an incentive for people to become pharmacists. This is a disgrace. This is not just Walgreens. It is another attack on middle class people who want to be paid what they are worth and treated with respect and good working conditions. read more

I read the reviews and was sad that some people only have bad things to say. Maybe a bad experience, I understand. However it was before, today is wonderful. Thanks, Walgreens for improving!!! Reviews on this site are old, not relevant! Doesn't help anyone at all. People in store working hard to please are lumped in with people who have probably moved on! Read reviews with a grain of salt if it's as old as these. I have great service throughout this store. And I'm a frequent customer. I see smiling faces and good attitudes! read more

Shutting down the pharmacy at closing time with people still waiting in line for their prescriptions is unacceptable.

This is my actual local Walgreens at the corner of Happy and Healthy in my view. I stop by pretty regularly because they have the gum that I prefer for work. Typically the Pharmacy drive-through can get pretty busy which is why I go inside so I can walk around killing time until my meds are ready. I believe they've expanded the isles making a bit more room to traverse around. The only reason they're not a 5 star is recently they've made the switch to a non 24hr location. Kinda stinks but hey business is business right. read more

Called the day before and spoke to the pharmacist, Scott about getting 2 flu vaccines for myself and son. He advised me to come in the next day between 10-4pm. I told him I would be there at 10am. I arrive and Matt, is rude. Telling me that they are super busy(no one is waiting). And that they could not give me and my son a flu vaccine. I asked for a manager. In which in manager came. Her name is Barbara. I explained the situation and because she is certified in giving vaccines she took care of everything and gave us the vaccines. Thank you Barbara. However, Matt needs some advance training on how to deal with customers. He was rude! This particular store is short on a lot of staff, that's the only reason I can think Of why a person who behaves like this would still be employed representing a large drug store chain! read more

Made four appointments to get my family all the flu vaccine; No appointments before me. Then when I get there, with all documents prepared...They let the couple with no paperwork complete go before us. What's the point of the appointments?? However Madison was great! Hope she stays there as with workers like her the team should get better! read more

Terrible pharmacy customer service. After being in the ER for several hours, I went to pick up a prescription at this store. After waiting in their pharmacy line for 20 min. It was finally my turn. I told the assistant all of my info and he was checking to see if it was ready, another car came and went next to me and after they had left the other assistant closed the blinds. At this point I'm thinking WTH, but maybe they just don't want anyone else to try to come through. Alas, no I am mistaken, they proceed to tell me that they are now closed and the pharmacist has told them to let me know to go to the other Walgreens. What the heck is wrong with these people?? Is this some young, wet behind the ears trainee or are we now okay with piss poor patient care? Ridiculous!! read more

I am never one to write a review no matter how horrible the customer service, but what the occurrence that took place at this Walgreens store is completely unprofessional and disrespectful to me. The new store manager Kofi is the most unprofessional and upright worst manager I have ever been in counter of, along with assistant manager Rachel who stayed quiet during my altercation with Kofi in the store as if she wasn't the main reason why this all happened. They hire me for a position as a cashier 2 weeks back but then all of a sudden decide they'd like to "move on to someone else" as if I hadn't already had the job. They then explain to me that they moved on because I "took to long to get put on the schedule to do my training." They would then state that my schedule just wasn't flexible enough for them as if I didn't show them my exact schedule and availability to work and yet they STILL HIRED ME. They informed me on this a DAY before I was supposed to start working. See, I'm not as mad because I have yet to live a life where I have to rely on a job and pay bills or feed my children, but if this had happened to someone in that position they would be highly upset and would definitely do a lot more than I am. Something needs to change at this store, and I suggest firing the NEW store manager KOFI. Completely unprofessional move to inform me a day before I was supposed to start that they no longer wanted me to work for them all because I was ASKED IF I COULD WORK A FRIDAY CLOSING SHIFT AND TOLD THEM I COULDN'T BECAUSE THAT WAS NOT A PART OF MY AVAILABILITY. I have never wrote a review on any store/company, but after the situation that occurred yesterday all I ask for is that whoever has the higher authority than KOFI or RACHEL sees this and does something about it. Pharmacy is just god awful. I should've known from all the 14 Three Star or less reviews out of 20. The past 2 years there's more often than not, a delay or issue with my Rx's. Service is s l o w, pharmacy employees are rude and when I've called to speak to anyone in the pharmacy I'm rushed off the call and seem to be a bother to them. Bye Walgreens, we are going to CostCo. I am shocked at the pharmacy staff here. I was just spoke to like a step child. I called to find out why my prescription that was called in at 4:30 was not filled. The "tech" informed me that my Dr's office filled out the quantity incorrectly and she had faxed them but not heard back, so she was just not going to fill my prescription that was desperately needed. I asked her to please fill what she had so I could start taking it and she informed me to tell my Dr that they need to fill things out correctly! That has nothing to do with me! Just do your job and fill the prescription. She would ask me a question and when I would start to answer continue to talk over me! I will go somewhere else from now on. So frustrating. read more

Scheduled a flu shot in advance. Long story short...when I arrived ten minutes early, I was told I had to redo the paperwork I had already done online. I then paid for the shot and waited. After 20 minutes, I overheard the pharmacist who was supposed to give me the shot tell the girl at the counter that it would be another 20 or 30 minutes. There were two of us. I had an appointment and the other customer who wanted a shot was a walk-in. The pharmacy staff at this location is definitely overworked and about as frustrated as me, the other guy wanting a shot as well as the customers waiting for prescriptions. I'm now working on trying to get this paid visit off my insurance so I can go to another provider. I did visit with the manager who apologized and gave me the cost of the copay for the shot in rewards dollars. I fully intend to use them online 'cause I'm still traumatized from this in-person visit to the store :) Bottom line, stay away from the pharmacy for awhile. They're not happy campers. Sorry. Time and again, we receive the worst pharmacy service in town here, and what's worse is that these people have no desire to do better. We need more local options with longer hours, so those who are sick outside of regular business hours have options that are worthwhile. read more

I have been filling my prescriptions at this location for a few months now. Last night I took three new prescriptions to be filled in, and although they were busy, the workers were very friendly and she estimated about 20-25 minutes for my medicine. I decided to leave since I live close, and about 30 minutes later I got a text saying that my order was ready for pick up. It's nice to have the feature for the "text when ready" and I have been happy with this Walgreens location! read more

I used "express pickup" for the first time today, which claims you get to skip the line, what a joke. I walked up to the express pickup window only to be told to get in the back of the line, that they only had one person working the front counter. I wasted my time paying before I came. read more

Nearly every time I try to renew RX, there is a problem. I have now been waiting 4 days because they didn't have enough on hand. When I asked why they didn't order what they needed when I first called in, the pharmacist told me, "We fill a lot of Rx's every day." That's no excuse. If they ever manage to get this one filled, I will transfer Rx somewhere else. read more

Looks like the employees here like to close early. I went to this location Saturday night at 11:40pm but they had already locked the doors. The hours sign clearly said open till midnight on Saturdays. Guess it's time for me to find another place to get my prescriptions. read more
