Valero and Circle K- Who would've thought it? Reviewing a…read moregas station and convenience store was not on my top list of things to do today. Normally when you stop at a combination gas station and convenience store you looking for gas and occasionally bag of chips and a 96 ounce cup of soda. This place may not look like it from the outside but it's different. First, the gasoline has consistently for many years their credit card prices have been cheaper than the major brand service station across the street cash/gift card price. Secondly, while your vehicle is filling up with that value priced gasoline and you go inside there's other surprises. I'm a lifelong Gold Card carrying Starbucks fan. I normally judge the quality of coffee based on the Starbucks, Venti dark roast. So when I went into this convenience store, I was expecting the worse on the coffee. It has been my experience over the years That this coffee is cheap, hot and not much else. However, we sip on a cup of the Circle K coffee. You are pleasantly surprised. I think it's the dispenser that freshly grounds coffee beans throughout the day. The coffee was delicious perhaps not quite Starbucks but better than anything else I've tried. Besides the $1.79 for 16 ounce compared to $3.60 at Starbucks makes it a viable alternative. But wait the surprises doesn't end. they have a case under hot lights with various cookies. I tried the peanut butter cookie and surprise number three. It was delicious, buttery with just the right amount of crumbling and moistness. So this combination, Valero gas station and Circle K convenience store is now my go to whenever I need gas or I don't want to track down the Starbucks for coffee.

While I was driving to pick up my medication, I called and began explaining that the price had gone from $18, then $22, and now almost $40. Before I could even finish my first sentence, the person who answered (pharmacist Daniela) cut me off abruptly and said, "Ugh, just give me your name." Her tone was dismissive, impatient, and completely unprofessional. She did not allow me to finish speaking and talked over me repeatedly. When I told her that interrupting me was rude, she continued to speak over me again. I then said I preferred to talk to someone else instead of someone who was being rude, and she responded, "Well, I am the pharmacist, and if you want to talk to someone else you will need to call on Monday." She then hung up the call. This was not a disconnection--she intentionally ended the call. When I arrived at the pharmacy moments later, I approached her and asked if she was Dr. Daniela. I told her it was rude and unprofessional to hang up on a customer. She replied, "Well, you said you didn't want to talk to me," which shows she was fully aware of her behavior and chose to escalate the situation instead of resolving it. I explained that I said I didn't want to speak with someone who was being rude--not that she should end the call. Throughout the conversation, she made faces, laughed, and ignored what I was saying. At no point did she apologize or make any effort to address the concern respectfully. Not only was this behavior unacceptable for any employee, it was especially concerning coming from the pharmacist--the person who should be setting the standard for professionalism and patient care. As a healthcare professional, she should have listened without interrupting, spoken with respect, and used a calm and professional tone. A simple response such as, "I understand your concern--may I please have your name so I can look up the prescription?" would have been appropriate. Instead, her behavior showed impatience, disrespect, and a lack of basic customer service skills. I have been a loyal patient at this location for many years, and this experience was extremely disappointing. Patients often come to the pharmacy dealing with illness, stress, or other challenges, and the last thing they need is disrespect or attitude. Her conduct does not reflect the standards of care or professionalism expected in a healthcare setting.
