I am no understanding why we no longer have a 24 hr pharmacy in the city with three hospitals in the area... please make it make sense? People would have to drive all the way to the Glenway or Hamilton Ave store to get prescriptions. read more

I've been a customer here for years, but getting prescriptions filled has become a recurring problem. I've received multiple conflicting explanations for the same prescription (out of stock, insurance issue, order cancelled), and the pharmacy rarely communicates proactively. If you don't strongly advocate for yourself and follow up repeatedly, your prescription may never get filled. I've tried to resolve this directly with the pharmacy without success and hope management will address the issue. read more

I was staying in the area, about to go to the zoo, when realized I had forgotten to pack sunscreen. Wanting to see crustaceans is one thing, becoming one, more specifically a lobster, was another. I pulled out my Yelp app and did a quick search for drugstores in the area to see my options. I think everyone falls into a camp regarding their preferred drug stores, CVS or Walgreens. I'm a Walgreens gal since I've always lived closer to them so away I went to this location. It was big! Very spacious and clean. Some stores have very tight aisles. Not here! You could do cartwheels (don't do cartwheels). They had a solid selection of sunscreen and I grabbed what I needed and made my way to the checkout. It was one of those days where everyone in front of me had some sort of issue. Coupons not working, needing a special item locked up, a manager needed to assist, etc. So I ended up waiting longer than I would have liked since they only had one register open, but that's my only complaint. Can't speak to the pharmacy or anything more specific here but if you're running errands in the area or are staying nearby and need something, it's a good bet you'll find it. read more

To say Corrytown is a declining area is no excuse. It's also inaccurate. It's my opinion they should shut down this location. There are other nearby options for everything this store does. The store is filthy and unkept. There are no available restrooms. While I think I understand why, I have small tolerance for this. Floors could be mopped, walls and windows washed. If necessary, bathroom doors coded and made available. I have no experience with the pharmacy. My cousin used them for a few years but stopped last year. She cited long lines and shortages on essential medications. I was not impressed with the staff. On all my visits they were short with me and not at all friendly. Add to that the disheveled shelves and displays, that's basis for a major overhaul or shutdown. I'm not being a snob or a clean freak, either. Plenty of nearby businesses are tidy and proper functioning. It's a great business neighborhood that we travel to at least three days a week. This place requires effort that it appears they have no interest in pursuing. They don't need to. It's a crowded house. But now you have my two cents and it's doubtful I'll be back. 03/22 read more

A large part of me has a soft spot for Walgreens because many years ago they employed me as an intern and probably paid me more than I was worth at the time. That being said, I feel like I can be pretty objective about what's good and bad about this place. I don't think this is breaking news, but Walgreens is a place that charges you more than others because of the convenience it provides. That's just the way it goes. read more

A couple of weeks ago my dad needed a few supplies from the drugstore. As we are in the middle of the #covid19 #pandemic things are different than our normal routine of going to the Walgreen's in Newport together. This store is across from the Kroger store on West Corry in Clifton. Upon entering I saw that the store was not very busy. Walking down the aisles I was greeted by 4 different employees asking if I needed help. I shopped the pain relief and air freshener aisles before going up to the front of the store for the AA batteries. It was here that one of the employees had to assist me as the larger packs of batteries were under lock and key. In fact I noticed quite a few things through out the store similarly locked up unlike at the Newport location. I knew the basic layout of the store as it looked to have been recently remodeled like the one in Newport At checkout there were a few more guests than I had seen before but the wait was short. By entering my dad's phone number I was able to get him his Walgreen's reward points. 5000 is equal to $5. The store had markings on the floor to keep us safely 6 feet apart. Once I was out the door I had to head back to work. I dropped the stuff off to my dad the next day. With the friendly employees, an easy to access location and plenty of parking I would return to shop here again. When items here are on promotion with buy one get one 50 percent off they are a good value. i literally never leave negative reviews, but the pharmacy staff here is extremely rude

It is a Walgreens drug store. The have everything in there but The building looks like it should be bulldozed and rebuilt. I had to speak to the pharmacy staff and they where pleasant and I felt sorry that they had to work at this location. Luckily I went in the middle of the day and was able to run in and get one thing and run out. If it was not during the day I would have not have gotten out of the car. The Walgreen's cooperation should be ashamed that the allow their name to be on this building. This location's neighborhood deserves better. read more

Great selection now that they remodeled the place, stop in there every now and then for a snack or drink. Prices are pretty good, and it helps to use their rewards card. plenty of parking spots, watch out for the Krogers being built next door. read more

Although I have liked this Wallgreens in the past, horrible experience today. I dropped off my prescription yesterday to be picked up today. I checked and was informed it was in process. I went to wait for the medicine and was told, they could not fill it because it required brand, not generic, and they did not have enough pills. They did check and there was wallgreens close by that did have the required medicine but I would need to bring the prescription to get it. I asked for my prescription back so I could go to the other pharmacy, but the Corryville Pharmacy then could not find it, claiming that they had a new person and they did not know what happened to it. They called my doctor to issue another prescription that I would have to then pick up and go to the other pharmacy. My doctor was in clinic and could not issue the prescription until after 5 pm. So I am as of now, at 4:30 without prescription and without my needed medicine. What did the Corryville Wallgreens do with my prescription?? The whole process of getting prescription should have taken less than 1 hour but I am now looking at several hour process and incredible frustration. Last week when I was getting another prescription filled there, their computers were down. Now they are losing prescriptions, saying they are in progress of filling them, and who knows after that. Seems like malpractice. Have others had similar experiences???? Horrible!!! read more
