Truly astounded by how terrible a pharmacy Walgreens is. I hate that they are so pervasive because that makes it incredibly difficult to find another pharmacy that's unaffiliated. But Walgreens is total garbage. I called to find out how I'd know when the script was ready; it was for my daughter who hasn't had a prescription so they wouldn't know to text/call & I wasn't able to add her in their app since you need an RX number. The person I spoke to said they'd be ready within 1.5 hours & gave me the RX number to add her in the app. After 1.5 hours I checked the app and they were running behind on one of the prescriptions. Ok, no problem... but when I checked again over an hour later, it showed as cancelled. There was a "more info" option, but when I clicked that there was none, so I called again. That's when I learned Walgreens outsources phone calls (even if you call the store number & select the pharmacy option), because the woman couldn't answer when I asked why the other prescription that had been marked as ready to pick up now was saying it was processing and she asked if I wanted to speak to someone in the dispensing pharmacy. Walgreens is hoping their customers don't know they aren't speaking to Walgreens employee but a third party vendor because this person didn't introduce herself in any way that would have suggested she wasn't standing in the pharmacy looking into my case whilst we spoke. The pharmacist said that the cancelled prescription is difficult to find in ointment form but they had a cream that was the same thing and he'd show me when I got there. But that's BS--if the cream and ointment had the same efficacy the doctor wouldn't have prescribed an ointment, but told me to pick up the non-prescription cream off the shelf. I called the Dr. office (thankfully still open since it was now way past 5) and he prescribed a different ointment. So again, the ointment was prescribed for a reason. It took 30 MINUTES to get the prescriptions & get out. There was ONE person being helped when I got in line. It took several minutes for them to finish up with her; I'm not sure why they're so slow. I had to add my daughter's insurance, so I went inside so as not to hold up the drive-through. They couldn't confirm her insurance, which obviously isn't their fault. I wasn't totally surprised since she's only five weeks old and the insurance company seems to be taking their sweet time. So I took my card back and the woman walked toward the back of the pharmacy, which I thought was to go grab the scripts I needed to pick up. She walked by again and was leaving the pharmacy (the pharmacy requires a door code to exit and she was typing in the code). I called to her and asked if she was going to get my prescriptions and check me out?? (I had other items to check out with as well, all on the counter where I was waiting.) She said that she didn't know I wanted the prescriptions since the insurance didn't go through. What? She didn't ask, so I'm not sure why she assumed I didn't. I know some scripts are optional, but I'd expect most aren't. I told her she's the employee and it's her job to make sure we had completed our transaction/to confirm whether or not I was going to take the scripts. She said since I took back the insurance card for the plan my daughter will be on she thought I wasn't going to take the meds. How does this make sense?? Did she want to keep the card as a souvenir, or...? I'm flabbergasted. Anyway, she continued to argue that she thought I was not going to take them so I said I was and I'd like to check out and go. The only thing she said to me over the remainder of completing my transaction (two to five minutes) is that they applied a discount for one of the prescriptions. No "thank you, have a nice day" or anything. I've worked in retail. My mom has worked in retail most of my life. Sometimes it can suck but honestly I never thought there was a reason to be nasty to someone just because I may not have liked my job, which was the energy she was putting out. I'm astounded Walgreens has no standards for their employees such as greeting customers or trying to sell things like a prescription by asking if someone still would like to pick it up! I'm going to look for a new pharmacy. The reason that I stayed with Walgreens was for the convenience, but there comes a point--like when they are constantly pushing back pick-up times or delivery times, give no reason for cancellation, have rude employees, and incredibly long wait times both inside the store and in the drive-up--when any semblance of convenience disappears so there's no reason to stay here and give them my money only to be treated like crap. read more

HIGHLY RECOMMEND My go to drive-thru pharmacy! There is always good turn-around on shelved items and cosmetics. This store has a fresh grocery and cold drinks section. THANK YOU to the afternoon shift manager (gentleman with a beard and long hair) and to the young clerk, Abdullah who had SO much PATIENCE with me during my checkout process. The store was super packed on that Sunday too! I made a purchase and had to immediately return to have a manufacturer coupon (which I had submitted earlier) be properly applied. THEY WERE BOTH incredibly helpful, and courteous. They did NOT rush me and were not rude at all! It was a long process and I even cut into Abdullah's scheduled break and delayed his meal time but he provided really excellent customer service all throughout. Thank you so much! read more

This is the worst walgreens I've ever been to. It takes on average 5 DAYS to get my prescriptions filled and CVS always does it in around 2 hours, but sadly they don't take my insurance anymore. I am 100% switching pharmacies to another Walgreens or a different company altogether read more

The girl then said that it's out of order due to lack is supplies. So I asked what supplies and she said toilet paper. I've been going to this Walgreens for over 10 years now. Service at the pharmacy used to be pretty good, especially at the drive thru. I'm not sure what has changed but it has become such a chore to pick up your medication whether you are on the store itself or at the drive thru. They never seem to know where your bag of pills is, and if you have more than one to pick up, they aren't stored together. The technician shouldn't have to look in 4 separate places for your meds. Makes no sense. Meanwhile the line gets incredibly long and you're waiting forever. It's not that complicated. read more

WORST PHARMACY DEPARTMENT !!!!! Not only will you wait over an hour for your prescription if you bring it in and want to wait for it, the automated refill phone call tells you your prescription is ready and when you get there ( after waiting at least 10 minutes in line to get up to the one cashier) they have in the pharmacy department, they tell you oh it will be a few more minutes, it's not quite ready. Why do they call and tell you it's ready? I called corporate once about the terrible service in the drive thru, about a year ago, and got an angry message from the pharmacist telling me if I had a problem I should talk to him and NOT CALL CORPORATE! I made the mistake of going back there only for the convenience, and once again after getting a call that my prescriptions were ready to be picked up, they told me they didn't have all of my medication so I told they to call another Walgreens that was close by and transfer that prescription because i couldn't wait another day or 2 til they got it in and low and behold, the pharmacist found some and it was going to be another half hour until they could fill it. It wasn't about how many people are in the pharmacy they should just close that pile of crap of a place. I took my daughters prescription to be dropped off. Forgot to pick it up so I went back Monday which was 2 days later. Spent 30 mins on the line just to find out that it's on back order. I was told that I will get a call. Week later I called myself just to find out again that the prescribing doctor from the ER wasn't in network and the insurance will not cover the medication. They could have had told or called me but instead they took their precious time to undermine my daughters need for antibiotic. Poor management, incompetent staff and unreliable location. Came to this Walgreens last night, looking for some Christmas decorations. I've seen this commercial for a decoration called "Star Shower" on TV for weeks. Heard Walgreens sells them so off I went with my son to get some so I can begin my Exterior Illumination. Was greeted when I walked in by the cashier saying the "Welcome to Walgreens" line. I like that! Went to the Christmas decoration aisle and looked and looked and noticed they were OUT! Oh no! I told my son "I think they're out of them buddy". The look on his face was so sad. He really wanted this!! Suddenly a worker came walking down the aisle & asked me if I needed help with anything. Her name was Renee I believe. I explained to her that I was looking for Star Shower & didn't see any. My son goes "we want to make our house light up all bright!" She said "oh no, I will go check in the back to see if there were any back there". In a few minutes she came back out carrying 2 boxes of them. My son's eye's lit up and he smiled very big. Renee goes "now your house will be the best one on the block" My son was so happy! Just wanted to give a little credit to great customer service from Renee! Sometimes just having a pleasant personality & being friendly goes a long way! Thanks to Renee for her help! We went home last night & set it up. Slow service and they LIE. Dropped off a prescription, was told it's in stock, get an email 2 hours later that it's our of stock. I had to go pick up the prescription, then they told me they would help me find a Walgreens who had it in stock. Gave me a location, out of my way. Said they couldn't call because they haven't answered their phone all day. I went there (passing several other Walgreens on the way) only to find they also didn't have it, no one had called and there phones were not busy. I am losing my trust in Walgreens. May be time to shop around for a new pharmacy. No wonder they are failing even after the British intervention. Get it together, Walgreens, seriously. I received two text notifications over 3 days that my Rx was ready for pick up. lo and behold, when my wife arrived she had to stand there for close to an hour while they looked for it then proceeded to fill it. This pharmacy's service has grown worse and worse every time I go there. They've dropped the ball so many times it's pathetic. They've not had scripts ready for me when I called them in more than 24 hrs. I'll get an automated call saying my scripts are ready and then one of them won't be and they say it won't be ready for at least 45 mins after they screw up. Since their system became "streamlined," It takes forever to get through their automated phone system to talk to a pharmacy assoc. when they mess up and I try to put things straight.I could probably write 23 more paragraphs while I'm waiting "at least 45 minutes for them to fix their latest screw up. I'm freakin' done with this store. 24 hr pharmacies are only worth it if they can save me time and this store does the opposite. I wish I could rate it negative ten. read more
