I spent a lot of time on South Boulevard in Charlotte, probably because a ton of stores that I wanted to visit were on it. I visited this Walgreens after I had checked out of the hotel in the uptown part of the city. For a few days, I had been doing researching on imPRESS nails for both my colleague and me. I found everything at this Walgreens. There was a buy-two-nail-packs-get-one-free deal. Nice! I got my nail errand done here. Easter merchandise was everywhere. I love the M&M's eggs and novelty items. I also loved the plush Peeps toys. This Walgreens was perfect. It was fairly busy when I got there, but it wasn't so busy that I couldn't back my Nissan Rogue in a parking spot. Service was fast and efficient. To start, there a drug 'shooting gallery' behind this location, I know this because I watched multiple different homeless people go back there while waiting over 20 min for the just 2 cars in front of me to get their prescriptions in the drive thru. I didn't go inside to pick up my prescription because there were homeless people sleeping in the front entrance... at 2oclock in the afternoon. This is very slow and overall pretty depressing place, and I'd recommend exploring other businesses. read more

i've been using walgreens as my primary pharmacy for 10-15 years and i finally decided to make the switch to Publix pharmacy because of this location. after having to wait an hour past my appointment times multiple times to get my covid/fly vaccine and getting covid tested I could not take it anymore. I completely understand that they're short staffed but it also has never taken under 20 mins to get my prescription in the year and a half i've been going to this location. I came to get covid tested again today bc they're the only people close to me who had appointments available and made the mistake of giving them another chance and once again. it took over an hour past my appointment time to just pay for the test and am still waiting to get swabbed which i'm sure will be another 30+ mins. one of the pharmacists is truly an angel and tries her best- she gave me my vaccines in the past and had to yell at her coworkers 4-5 times to get their shit together to get me tested today. I would've left if this wasn't my last resort. honestly, they're lucky i'm not a "karen" and am just leaving this review rather than losing my shit like anyone else would have at this point lol read more

They will notice you, but they will not help you or even acknowledge you (a simple "we will be with you in just a minute" would change the whole vibe). A very tight parking lot for this Walgreens and I would seriously recommend that you monitor your surroundings when you're going from the store to your car. It is a very tight parking lot. I didn't go in on this particular visit - we used the drive-through and had a great clerk taking care of our prescription. Top notch and just for her, she gets a star. Don't bother going through the drive-through unless you have 1.5 hours to spare. I am not sure how this place is still functioning. This is my go to grab and go spot cause of the convenience but it isn't always. The employees are always friendly enough but I swear their print shop is down half the time. They have decent deals on wine and always have something if you need a quick little gift.(Not the best selection but it is what it is.) I have not used the pharmacy itself. There are two redbox outside so you have great chances of having the movie you want available. It is difficult to get in and out of depending on which way you are turning because of the busy intersection. read more

I love the Pharmacy here! The staff has always been very helpful and nice to me when I visit. They answer all questions regarding my prescriptions as well as offering great selections for over the counter options. I recently just moved to Charlotte and needed to switch which walgreens I pick up my prescription from. I chose this walgreens because it was somewhat close to my apartment (the one I wanted wouldn't come up in my psychiatrists computer for some reason). I showed up around 2 o'clock after they called and said my prescription was ready. i showed up and after 20 mins told me they needed my stepdads birthday (i'm on his tri care) and i told her i've never needed to give any information. She told me she couldn't find it in the system to I gave it to her along with his name, she then told me a while later that i needed to have his social security number (why would i be in position of anyones social security number but mine?). I went back to my car in tears with how frustrated i was because one she wasn't being very kind and was asking a lot. I finally got ahold of my stepdad and went back in with his social security number and had to explain the whole situation to someone else. She brought it back up and claimed she couldn't find it either, I went back to my car and asked my stepdad to call the insurance company and he then told me everything should have been fine. I went back in and was told the same thing. Now i was extremely frustrated and finally went thru the drive through and decided to pay out of pocket, she gave me my meds and I paid $90 to find out they didn't give me all my prescriptions, i told her and she looked at the computer and said "oh we forgot". at that point i was so done. she came back 10 mins later with my prescription. I will never be coming back to this walgreens. A 20 mins process took 3 hours. read more

Walgreen's is my favorite drug store! They have great everyday deals and a good selection. The staff is friendly and truly looking out for their customers best interests. I was having prescriptions filled here and the pharmacy technician informed me, from the get go that they do not take my insurance and would I still like to get my prescriptions filled there. I think that shows a lot of integrity. I also love the photo center here. While the prices are competitive the staff is what keeps me coming back. They are helpful friendly and get my pictures taken care of in a timely fashion. All of which I appreciate. Walgreen's also has a great app informing customers about their weekly specials, making sending in pictures to have printed from your phone easy, and checking up on the status of your prescription. read more

I am a long time patron of this location. I stopped using the pharmacy d/t long wait times for phone calls and prescriptions. Today I was served by the rudest cashier I have run into lately. I had to go back after initial visit, because she left out four packs of cigarettes. She didn't apologize and then rang up the total incorrectly. I came by on Sunday and asked that my prescription refill be ready at 7 AM on Monday. On Monday there was no phone call or email sent to me so I called and asked if it was ready they said no, when would I like to pick it up? I replied around 4 o'clock which gave them an hour notice. I've used this Walgreens for my pharmacy needs for nearly 9 years. Today I got an automated call saying that my prescription was ready, so I arrived to the drive through lane, third in line, and sit there for over 20 minutes. Finally I gave up and parked and went inside. I get to the pharmacy and am surprised to find no line at all (the same cars are still sitting in line at the window though) and there are 5 pharmacy girls who are literally all moving as if they're betting on who can move the slowest! I mean, it was ridiculous to witness how slowly these ladies were moving. They were actually propping themselves up on the counters as they typed with one finger.?!?. I realize a business can only hire those that have applied, but DAYUM! Put the super-slow girls on 3rd shift and lets get some people that understand daily 9-5 requires moving quickly because people are in a hurry, they're on their lunch hours and they do not have time to wait for you to literally search through laundry hamper sized totes hunting for my prescription. Why did you call and tell me it was ready if in fact it is NOT ready as evident by the fact that you can't even locate it! To me- that shows clearly that this Walgreens location has simply more business than they can handle... I mean- when they say, "we're sorry, we can't locate your prescription, do you mind waiting for us to refill it?" Um, yes, I do very much mind that you lost something with all of my personal information printed on it including my name, address, telephone number, medication and my doctor's name. I very much mind that my personal information has in fact been lost! This was my final straw in dealing with the pathetic apathy that passes for employees at Walgreens. I chose a very small pharmacy with 2 pharmacists and no helper girls. They need my business, they want my business and they can actually accomplish the goal in a very short amount of time. I have tried to pick up 4 different prescriptions here and they never have what is needed in stock. Two friends have had the same experience. They sometimes seem a little lost as to what's going on in the pharmacy. It can sometimes seem a little sketchy when shopping inside...ex. Stood in line behind a man with a gun on his hip (didn't think you could even do that if you were not an officer) who proceeded to tell the cashier how he carries it everywhere he goes. We stick with the one in Southpark, since they are always friendly and usually have everything in stock. read more

I've been to this location a few times; I also forget to check in. I'm not a fan of Walgreens especially not this location, I came here on 08/13/16 because I was in the area and I wanted to take advantage of the Bic pen deal (Buy 2 for $2)that was in the 08/07/16-08/13/16 weekly ad. I finally make it to the register and the cashier refused to honor my $1 off 2 coupon, she stated that if I use the coupon than I will get the pens for free which wasn't true! If I use the coupon I would get two packs of Bic Pens for $1 as it stated in the weekly ad. I ended up calling customer service and complaining about the service that I received earlier that day, my complaint was forwarded to a manager who contacted me on 08/15/16 and during our conversation I explained to the manager what happened and was rewarded 5000 points (worth $5.00)on my Walgreens card. I highly doubt that I will return back to this location. read more
