This convenience store features a Godfather's Pizza as well as an A&W. Freshly made root beer!…read more Friendly service at the A&W too, but that's where the praise stops. I stopped in after a soccer match and waited 17 minutes to get a burger and fries, because they didn't have nearly enough help to handle the postgame rush. Would hate to see what the line is like when American football is played. The interior of the store is reminiscent of an old-time general store. I'll be back up in Vinton in a couple of weeks and give them another chance. But for now, I'd have to say you are better off going to another establishment in town.

I've also found a number of grocery items that were cheaper than Walmart, too! The custom sliced deli meat varies from inexpensive (the Market Pantry stuff is gross in my opinion!) to very quality products such as Kretschmar and Applegate brands. Ask your slicer for a sample - they will happily give you one! The Applegate Provolone is the finest provolone I have tasted for a long time. It's great stuff and one product I used to convince customers to try. One slice and you are hooked. The employees are some of the friendliest people you will ever meet. I know this from having been an employee and a customer. Even though I don't work there any more, I continue to shop at Target and enjoy doing so. My only negative comment is about the price. Target is usually higher on things than comparable products at Walmart. But then again, Walmart is a dimly lit cave... Target is classy and brightly lit.

The prices are high compared to the other Hy-Vees, unless you're buying alcohol, which is probably fine for commuters and the occasional shopper but there are many poor people in the neighborhood using food stamps that walk there for their regular groceries. The sales are good and they match sale prices from other Hy-Vee ads. I wish they had more selection on produce and food prices were catered more for their neighbors.

I drove 20 mi to pick it up and some lady who answered the phone was extremely unhelpful and confrontational. I told her I came home with the wrong prescription because it was and all she wanted to do was argue that it wasn't wrong. I was there for lorazepam and sent home with hydrazine. It was a prescription from 3 weeks ago that was suppose to be put back due to his medical issues. So I did.. in fact .. come home with WRONG prescription. All this person cared about was lecturing me that I didn't get the wrong prescription. She checked on lorazepam and it was there and they did not give it to me.
