I went here once for medication straight out of inpatient care. The boy at drive through refused to give me my medication because he said it was a controlled substance. I called the hospital I'd been at and talked to multiple doctors, nurses, and receptionists who all said that my prescription is absolutely NOT a controlled substance. They all sounded just as confused as I was. After a couple days of being off my medication I was experiencing awful side affects, I could barely get out of bed which made it more difficult to deal with all this. I called Walgreens and talked to a lady who already knew what had happened, probably after my doctor had to call and clarify that they shouldn't have denied me my medicine, she asked me who at Walgreens told me that and reaffirmed that I definitely should have been given my medication. The worst pharmacy! My medication was called in 45 minutes prior. I get there, the tech ask me to pull back around in 15 minutes. I pull back around. The doctor made a mistake in quantity. The tech ask do I need the medication today! OF COURSE I NEED THE MEDICATION TODAY, WHY ELSE WOULD I BE HERE? The pharmacists get his ass on the intercom rude as can be! Trying to justify why XYand Z! Not my problem! They should have been called and got clarity before buisness hours were closed! So now I'm having to wait until Monday. I became ill in the middle of the night and after utilizing a telehealth service to see a provider, I had the prescription called into this pharmacy after midnight. The Rx was ready within minutes, I didn't have to wait when I arrived and the overnight pharmacist (NSP) was extremely friendly and helpful as was the front cashier. I was very impressed with the service and they made a difficult situation much easier on me. read more

I had to write a review for this location after seeing the bad rep its pharmacy customer service has. I don't know if this has anything with the new addition of the clinic, but the other day when I went in I received excellent customer service. While the lady that was helping me was in the back getting my prescriptions together, 2 other workers came and asked me and the gentleman next to me if we had been helped. The lady that was helping me was very patient as I had multiple coupons/savings cards for my new prescriptions. I also think the people at the regular front check out counter are nice and conversational as well. If anything, the photo counter and cosmetic register are lacking in good customer service. read more

This was my favorite Walgreens when I lived in Lewisville about 4 years ago. It's the nearest 24-hour one and they always took good care of me. When we moved to Addison, we obviously opted for a closer location. Upon moving a little further north, I started coming back to this Walgreens. I had a little snag with them about two months ago. One of my prescriptions was set up on Auto-Refill. The auto-refill usually hit on Thursday afternoon or Friday morning at the earliest. I always get a text message from Walgreens when any of my prescriptions are ready. It was Friday afternoon and I had yet to get my refill notice. I was on my very last pill and needed to have it refilled by Saturday night at the latest. I finally was able to call up there and the pharmacist brusquely told me that they were out of that medication and MIGHT have more in stock on Monday or Tuesday. Well that clearly wasn't going to work for me. I was able to call the Walgreens in Flower Mound and picked it up as I was leaving work. This is the only thing that stops this Walgreens from being 5-star. I wonder if or when they were ever going to call me and tell me that my prescription wouldn't be ready until days after I had run out of pills. After a huge issue a few weeks ago, this Walgreens made me remember how much I loved them when I lived in Lewisville. I went to the Care Now over at Hebron and Old Denton and was given a prescription. Brought it right over here and was told it would take about 30 minutes to fill. Turns out I'm allergic to that medication. Back to Care Now. Three new prescriptions turned into Walgreens. Again, ready quickly! ...Turns out I was allergic to one of the new medications too! But I didn't realize that until a few days later and it was 5am. No urgent care is open, my regular doc certainly isn't open, and it's not severe enough to go to the ER. One of my friends told me to call the pharmacist and make sure that it was an allergic reaction and what I should do. The guy I talked with was my favorite who works there. I told him what was going on and he gave me really good advice. Take some Benadryl (which didn't occur to me, for some insane reason), see if the reaction gets better, and if not, go to the doctor. He also updated my patient info in their nationwide system to reflect the allergies to the two medications I had been prescribed that weekend. He was so nice and calming when I was freaking out! I really appreciate him. The same guy (I don't know if he's the pharmacist or a tech) also offered to call one of my doctors because the prescription was for only 11 pills, not 30, which he thought was weird and wasn't the usual prescription amount for that medication. I've been to this Walgreens before to have a prescription filled, and the service is usually good. Today was a different story. I arrived with a prescription to fill at about 11:10 am, and walked up to the window. The pharmacist was nearby filling prescriptions, and there were 2 other people working in the pharmacy. I stood at the window for about 10 minutes waiting to be helped. In their defense, I was probably at the wrong window. Even so, during that time, no one spoke to me, no one looked at me, and no one in any way acknowledged my presence. A simple, "I'll be with you in a minute." would have been fine. I don't mind waiting, but I don't like being ignored. read more

If you don't have the Rx in stock you need to tell the customer. Was lied to twice about two new Rx's first hold it would be 20 minutes. 4 hours later the tell me it's not in stock. Hello! You have my phone number! You could call and tell me. So the they say its not in stock and will have it in the morning. Giving them unto the afternoon I go and they still don't gave it in stock. I go there for speed and convenience, only to be bottlenecked at checkout by lack of personnel and electronic advertising and up selling machines. Beware of this scam at Walgreens drug stores: I tried to get a 2 X 2 inch photo printed at their photo printing service. The options on their computer screen showed a price of $0.39 each for 4 X 4 inch photos with somewhat higher prices for larger prints but there was no option for the small print I needed; so I asked. I was told they could do the small prints for me, (I needed one for myself and one for my wife for passport renewal). The girl went right to work with my flash drive without revealing the price they would expect. However, I watched the computer screen and saw that the price would now be $14.99 for each print! They rig their photo computer not to do 2 X 2 prints so they can do them for you then charge that exorbitant, outrageous price! I expect basic honesty from a large, well-known chain like Walgreens and I cannot put my disgust into words. I don't know if other Walgreens locations are plying this sleazy scam but you should be on the lookout for it. read more

I don't shop at the front often but the store is very clean. I come here mostly for my prescriptions. Not sure if the previous reviewers even realize how a pharmacy works lol. I use this pharmacy all the time and every time I am there it is clear that the staff are doing the best they can (with the high volume of customers) and are always quick and polite. The verification of personal info is to make sure you get the right person's meds & that a stranger isn't trying to pick up someone's pain meds or something. The call center is something the staff cannot control and it is due to the high volume as stated before. Anyway I always have my meds on time, I can quickly and easily check my meds on the walgreens app and if there's an issue with something I get an automated call from the walgreens system which lets me know to call the pharmacy. Each time I ask to speak directly to staff, the call center puts me through. There is a self pay pick up option on the inside that is always broken though, so that sucks! The drive thru moves quickly usually, unless there is some jackass who doesn't go inside when they have more than a simple script pick up. I usually go inside, it tends to be quicker. Also, if you have old meds they have a convenient medication drop you can utilize. Overall, great pharmacy and really sweet staff. read more

I would give zero stars if I could. Don't ever go to the pharmacy drive through at this location. I was trapped in line for 45 minutes. Someone in the lane next to me bailed and another car zipped right in and was served before me. What's the point of 2 lines if there is only one person working inside? I'm boycotting Walgreens. At any given business on any given day you can experience something unpleasant or out of the ordinary but I have a problem with someone who "generally" gets good service jumping on and giving a bad review. This has been my go to pharmacy for over a year. My husband chose this location because it was 24 hours and the drive thru access. But tonight I went to pick up my prescription. My insurance changed to Medicaid due to both my husband and my job loss. I gave them my new insurance card, and they told me that it wouldn't go through. They told me to call Members Services. They requested that I move out of the drive thru line and come in so they could run it again. Typically not unreasonable, but I was feeling sick. I was there to pick up Tamiflu and blood pressure meds that I hadn't taken all day because I was out. I told them I could not come in because I was not feeling well. I proceeded to call Members Services while in the drive thru line and 4 staff members came to the window and asked me to move to allow other customers access. Again, typically not unreasonable, but something seemed strange about the staff member telling me that the insurance company told them I had ianother insurance and that's why it didn't go through. That's totally false. The new insurance would never have said that to the pharmacy. After several minutes of the staff and the pharmacy banging on the window and the brick palate holder in the pull out drawer screaming and yelling at me to move, I moved. I was speaking to nurse advice from Medicaid, because Members Services is closed on the weekend. Which the pharmacy is aware of. They are the only ones that have that kind of access on the weekends and after hours. They just did not want to go through the extra effort to verify my Medicaid coverage. I never had a problem with this pharmacy when I had private insurance, and this was completely due to the insurance being Medicaid. This isn't the first time. I ended up getting an authorization code and the the pharmacy was notified. They called me back and said they don't take that particular Medicaid group, and advised me that a staff member tried to tell me, but my window was rolled up. Really?! No one tried to tell me that. They only screamed at me to love like you would an animal blocking the road way. I have a lot of respect for other people, and it was never my intention to hold up the line. I've been that person held up before in the line behind a car that took what seemed like forever. But this was not right. I waited my turn and should have been given service and respect as a human being. I was not. I am a black woman on Medicaid holding up the line. I'm sure that was conversation after I pulled off. No apology from the staff caller. Needless to say, I won't be back. Walgreens you need to treat your customers better. You never know where you will find yourself in life. read more

Horrible experience. I will never go back, the little girl (had super curly brown hair) at the desk was rude and had a horrible attitude, the female Asian pharmacist was even more rude. She couldn't refrain from rolling her eyes as if she were annoyed by me asking a question. I waited for over an hour after them telling me four times that they hadn't received my prescriptions from my doctors office. I finally left after I asked them to use answering service for my doctors office so he could be paged (they did this for my husband last week). They argued with me and told me it couldn't be done like that but I explained they had just done it for my husband for the same exact medication the week before. Finally after verifying that the pharmacist called she stated after rudely rolling her eyes and walking away from me with her back towards me that a Florida number answered which tells me that she didn't call because my doctor is in TEXAS. Obviously. So then she suggested I call to page the doctor which I can't do because I'm a patient and not a physician, hospital or pharmacy. She should know that. So I finally I left and the second I leva the parking lot they call and say my prescriptions were on the fax machine the entire time. Great. I asked to fill one of the four requests and I would go elsewhere for the other three. I then get s call an hour later stating they were partially filling my prescription because they had 10 of the 60 requested. That's weird because my doctors office called to verify that they had enough to fill the entire script. At that point I requested they cancel all my orders and I would have my physician write the script for me tomorrow so I can go somewhere else, they made this extremely difficult and I will never go back nor will I ever recommend these people. I couldn't imagine having to go here if I were sick and feeling ill. Horrible service staff was rude. Very disappointing. I won't even give one star. They don't even deserve it read more

If i could i would give this place no stars. It is a waste of time and money. The nurse practitioner does not know what she was doing. I had to pretty much diagnose my self. I had to tell her what tests i needed to be done. Which was strep and flu both came back negative. After the test she had no idea what to diagnose me with so i told her i needed some medication for a sinus infection. Then she said she will not be able to give me any medication since i only have been sick for one day and had a fever once. The only way she can diagnose me and give me medication was if i had a fever for more than 2 days with a 102 and if i have been sick with sinuses for 10 days. You cant even imagine how awful i feel right now. Then to make it even better she said i can get over the counter medication when thats what i have already been doing. Thank god i had insurance of a 35$ copay which she still charged me even tho she didnt even treat me. If i had no insurance my blood pressure would have went to the sky. I kept my calm but i will be calling corporate in the moring and will get a refund back and leaving a complaint. You just dont have the paitent doctoring themselves.
