I told her that it was not appropriate to have that conversation at the counter with a line of people behind me. She defended herself and said, annoyed, that she had to ask questions when a person is on certain drugs for a while. I agreed that the questions were a good thing, but should have been asked one on one. She walked away. I understand that this pharmacy is grossly understaffed; they have even closed the drive through, and it will only get worse during season in a very few weeks. But that doesn't excuse her unprofessional behavior and defensive attitude.

It's a small friendly pharmacy, the likes you haven't seen in 20 years! So nice and very helpful. They were able to supply me with my blood pressure medicine that was out of stock at all the big pharmacies int he area. I would also recommend them if you do not have insurance or have a very high deductible as they are willing to offer discounts if you don't have insurance.

The other customer had hundreds of dollars' worth of merchandise in a cart at the checkout. He went outside and was gone for a while. After about 10 minutes, the cashier asked my wife and me if we would like him to call another cashier, as he had only scanned a few items of a full cart. I said yes as he had only scanned a few items of a full cart. He calls someone. The other customer returns from outside and asks for a wine opener. He is told to go to aisle 6. He comes back and says he can't find it. The cashier leaves to show him where it is in aisle 6. He comes back, still no second cashier. I left the stuff I wanted on the counter and walked out. When I arrived, they had already restocked it, even after my call prior. The pharmacist told me it had been ready for 2 weeks and i explained i was having treatment in TAMPA and she actually told me " YOU SHOULD HAVE GOTTEN IT THERE!!" That was not an option given my circumstances and she decided that she was now going to make me wait 2-3 hours because she was angry. She actually called the sheriff department who came and had to go inside and speak with the Pharmacist. She refused to accommodate his request to fill the script promptly and he would facilitate the transaction. Again, NO!! His words to me were.... "There are plenty of shitty people in the world! " I DON'T BELIEVE THIS PERSON SHOULD EVER INTERACT WITH SICK PEOPLE WHO ARE TRYING TO GET HEALTHY AND WHO DO NOT NEED TO BE HARASSED AND HECKLED BY THEIR PHARMACEUTICAL DISPENSER. I hold a medical degree in Anesthesia and pediatrics and I have never been more appalled by this childish, unethical, unprofessional behavior. By the way, the medication I was attempting to collect is for anxiety. The pharmacist and other workers seemed to delight in the entire situation. A hidden gem of a pharmacy…read more While we were visiting, my kids came down with strep throat. Because they're kids, they can't take adult antibiotics. However, there was a country-wide shortage of children antibiotics going on. Agh! We called EVERYWHERE. CVS. Walgreens. Publix. You name it. We tried it. And then someone recommended John's Pharmacy. Low and behold, they had it. We rushed over there with our prescription in hand. The pharmacist was understanding and quickly filled our prescription so we weren't waiting. (If you have two children with strep throat, even five minutes of waiting can feel like an eternity.) Thanks, John's Pharmacy.

Be very careful with your compounded medicines. I picked up one that was so thick I could not use…read moreit. It was like Jello. They did replace it but I wish it was made right in the first place. They told me I did not need to refrigerate one of the compounded meds so I did not. I JUST FOUND MOLD ON THE CAP. GROSS!! Last month they told me to double a dose on one Med. I figured maybe it was right since I had just been to the vet. The next month it was back to normal. THEY MADE A MISTAKE!!! THEY HAD ME DOUBLE DOSING MY HEART PATIENT FOR FOR A MONTH. I am lucky he did not get really sick from it. The poor thing was a nervous reck from the over dose all month. I thought he was sick and wasted money on a vet visit.

They've been great for us, truly…read more I think their business model is solid, if old-schoolC but it makes a lot of sense. From what I can tell, they are selective in who they encourage to use and keep using them by prioritizing keeping "their customers' '" medications in stock, reducing their wait times as much as possible, have conversations about patient health, etc. They seem to (probably informally) favor certain local prescribers who I'm assuming they maintain relationships with, and who send in prescriptions for patients on a consistent, predictable regimen. It can seem strange or even unfair for a pharmacy to seemingly give precedence to some customers and not others if you've only ever used a corporate "big box" (CVS/Walgreens) style of pharmacy. But I think most if not all the success of the typical modern "mom and pop" American pharmacy can be attributed to some version of this strategy. Their focus seems to be retention of their loyal, predictable customer base, and the network of providers/doctors they trust. Once you've built up enough longevity for them to see you as "their customer", and especially if you're someone who relies on your maintenance meds getting filled on time - you'll really be glad you have them as your pharmacy. Especially during worsening supply shortages, when a sudden mass layoff means you lose your health insurance, or the sticker price of your lifesaving medication suddenly skyrockets (and all the other crises we face as the sad reality in modern American life). Anyone relying on their meds to live and/or function will appreciate getting in with a pharmacy that has your back because (with few exceptions) CVS honestly doesn't.

I received a phone call from one of the techs who told me it was going up in price to 153.00 a month. That was totally beyond my budget. He then explained that there was a program that they had that could save me some money. He called me back and told me that I would be paying zero a month going forward. Pebblebrook Pharmacy is absolutely wonderful and Chin and his staff are helpful , friendly , and look for ways they can try and save people money like they did with me. I have not met the tech Harry yet but when I do I will most definitely shake his hand and thank him for all the money he saved me on my medication.
