Plus, they ordered enough to be able to supply the refills I would need periodically in the future. I think Adam's cares about working with customers in a way that chains may not. Once I was crying quite hard when I picked up a medication (I was providing end of life care to a terminally ill family member), and the woman working the counter asked me how I was doing, offered me tissues, and shared a similar heartbreaking experience she'd had.

So you never know when you can go get them without calling directly, which I feel bad doing since I know they're busy! And if there's an issue, you'll show up and there'll be nothing to get! I've had to take 2-3 trips a few times to get meds and now I have to call every time before I go and take up their time just to see if things are ready.

Recently, I arrived 15 minutes after closing, but no biggie. I simply headed back to the car. The new owner/pharmacist (whom I had never met before) spotted me, ran to the door, unlocked it, and asked if he could help me.
