I've been using Judy Simon for my dental hygienist since about 1990 and she is knowledgeable in so many ways. Dr. Yount professionally demonstrates knowledge of what the patient's needs are, provides the service needed and refers when he is unable to provide the needed service (very important!). Laura has been the person "at the front" with whom I have dealt since 1990 also - knows all about coverage, etc and is ALWAYS professional while making me "feel like family". Wendy is relatively new to me but has also met my needs in every way pleasantly and professionally. All staff behave professionally while also making me at ease and like "part of their family". I couldn't ask for a better dentist and staff to take care of my dental and oral health needs.

When I showed up, Margie was super sweet to me and made sure I was comfortable. I showed her pictures of the color and cut I wanted and we continued with the appointment. I noticed that she was lightening my hair all the way to the root, which is not balayage, so I grew a little nervous, but figured it would turn out fine. After all, it's just hair. Once the cut and color was over with, I knew it looked nothing like the photo I wanted. But, it didn't look horrible from what I could tell, so I paid $120 for her services and left. After I had returned home, I took a closer look at the color and realized how streaky and horrible it truly was. The color was not blended at all, and it looked like I had a stair case of highlights all over my head. There were clumps of bleach blonde everywhere. The haircut itself wasn't great, but the color was my biggest issue. Because I was leaving for spring break in two days, I panicked and had to call around all of Auburn in order to find someone else to fix my hair. Thankfully, I did, but it should've been done correctly the first time. I truly hate leaving a negative review for someone who was very sweet to me, however my hair looked horrible. I am extremely disappointed with the care my daughter received during her dermatology appointment…read more After being referred to this office from her primary care physician, I expressed concerns about a spot on my daughter's skin that we believed required further evaluation. Unfortunately, the appointment was extremely brief, and the dermatologist barely examined the area before making a diagnosis. Despite my concerns, the dermatologist dismissed them, diagnosed the spot as a viral infection, and advised us that it would resolve with the use of an over-the-counter medication typically used to treat acne. No biopsy or additional testing was recommended, and I left the appointment feeling that neither my concerns nor my daughter's condition had been properly evaluated. Because both my daughter's primary care physician and I continued to be concerned, I sought a second opinion from another dermatologist office. During that visit, the physician stated that she did not agree with the original diagnosis of a viral infection and recommended a biopsy. After the biopsy results were reviewed, I was contacted and informed that the remaining portion of the lesion needed to be surgically removed. This experience has been extremely upsetting and frustrating. Had I relied solely on the original diagnosis and treatment plan, my daughter's condition may have gone untreated, potentially leading to more serious consequences. It is deeply concerning that such a quick diagnosis was made without a thorough examination or consideration of my concerns as her mother. I believe a parents concerns deserve to be heard and taken seriously, and I expected a careful and comprehensive evaluation. I hope this complaint prompts a review of the care that was provided and reinforces the importance of taking the time to perform an appropriate examination and to listen to the concerns of patients and their primary care physicians. No parent should have to seek a second opinion simply because they feel their concerns were dismissed.
