I'm pretty sure that the building this Walgreens used to be in was once a grocery store. It's just the biggest Walgreens I have ever been in! It was amazingly huge! Like I am inspired to live a better life in the hope that one day I will be this amazing, and my friends will speak of me in hushed, awestruck tones as I feel I must do when speaking of this place, so as not to desecrate it's gloriousness with my crass tongue. I went there because they had boost. It said online $17.49 for a 12 pack. I bought 2. My receipts are digital so when I looked at my receipt when I got home they charged me $20.99. WOW. This is the Walgreens with the 24/7 pharmacy so it's not quite a surprise that it's located in a busy area near the Women's Hospital by Lovelace. I frequent it when my family or I are too sick in the middle of the night to wait until morning for medicine but not sick enough to warrant the ER. Tonight was no exception. I felt a fever come on pretty suddenly thanks to the cold that is apparently going around and stopped in for Tylenol and a thermometer, which quickly confirmed a low grade fever. Everything I needed was quick and easy to find. The shelves were fully stocked and everything was organized really well. The pharmacist was able to confirm I was getting the right product for my allergies and I really appreciated that because I always forget my interactions when I'm sick! Sometimes people do wander in who aren't the kind of people you want to meet when you are trying to run in and out but it's a small price to pay for 24/7 access to medicine and necessities! read more

This place is a joke - I bought a tall can and decided to get a second one . With in minutes of the first and they would not sell to me. I could not drink a second one tall can in 15 seconds. The pharmacy closes at 11 pm so it's not open 24/7. FYI. I came in with an Rx that needed to be filled urgently at about 9:30 pm. I was a big wigged out to get sick on vacation and Drew the pharmacist (the reason for the 5 stars) was SO helpful and knowledgeable. He listened to me, then he offered suggestions and directions that the doctor I saw at urgent care did not have the time or inclination to offer, and he heard me. He's an asset to Walgreens for sure. This Walgreens is1 of the most incompetent ever. I have gone sometime without my Metformin as well as having a slew of other issues. THEY DON'T CARE ABOUT YOUR HEALTH! They even argued I could only fill RX every 8 weeks. I explained the math. I have 8 and change 2 x a week. How many weeks? She finely got it and admitted they billed insurance wrong. I have to wait for them to get it fixed w/ insurance. Went in today manager (Tyler) told me a price. I got home to see I did not pay 24.99 I paid 39.99. I called and went back, he said he would honor price. (This is Not the 1st time being over charged for something). Rang me up and said I even gave you a discount on top of it. He LIED. I understand they are located in a relatively busy and financially disadvantaged neighborhood but that does not give the staff - not all of them - just some of the "shift leaders" - the right to look down on people and provide substandard services. I came to Walgreens because I forgot a couple groceries earlier in the day. They had a brand of pre-workout that I enjoy using, and it was on sale with balance rewards ($10 off!!) so I had to get it. When the cashier checked me out and finalized the order, the $10 didn't come off. I told her about the sale and she scoffed at me and started violently flipping through her catalog. I offered to run back and take a picture of the sign stating that it was $10 off, and she said hang on. A few seconds later, she said "you might as well go take check while I look through here." So I ran to the other side of the store, snapped a picture of the sale sign, and ran back. I showed her, she scoffed again and said "well, I guess" and acted like it was the most inconvenient part of her entire day to change the price to what it was advertised as. I don't see anything wrong with this store, every time I have to fill my prescription my doctor fax it in usually in the morning and I come later in the evening to pick it up, of course if you go in there hand them your slip it is obviously going to take a long time becuase other people are doing the sammmme thing lol. Drive thru/fax in is sooo much better. Other then the pharmacy the staff seem very chill, doing there job so they can clock out which I can understand. Not everyone is going to be jolly and treat you like royalty with a smile on their face, if you are expecting that then you are going to quickly be reminded of reality haha. Very realistic and doesn't pretend to be anything better with that it has my respect, get what you came for, ask questions and get out, and it helps if you are able to figure it out yourself to go more smoothly. 5 star for being real they are nice and crack jokes and friendly at times but you can not expect that every day like most companies have you to believe, people arent like that and you shouldn't expect it everyone has crappy days. read more
