This being my first tattoo ever, I was nervous beyond belief but the minute I talked to Dorian I thought to myself "this is my tattoo artist." To say this was the BEST experience and it exceeded all my expectations is an understatement. I walked in at 4:30pm and left at 8:30pm. There was another person before me so I ended up waiting and chatting with the client and Dorian. And both of them just made the experience that much better and reassuring. Not to mention they were EPIC people to meet while I was on vacation--the most kind and genuine that I was lucky enough to meet. The INK: I wanted a simple Sanskrit Tibetan Buddhist Symbol -- Dorian worked with me to determine the size and location of the tattoo beforehand making sure that it was suitable to my preferences. The entire process took under 10 minutes and just like that I was all done! It's like I've had it on me my whole life. It's been a week and my piercings are great, No inflammation, no infections and they are healing nicely. The ambiance is super chill. All the employees are so helpful and pleasant. The jewelry is not overpriced and they have a very large selection to choose from. I'm planning on going back to do my Tragus piercing next week, because he advised it would be better to not do all of them at the same time. They take walk-ins but doing your research to see which artist suits your style is always recommended. It's a very welcoming place & doesn't have a high strung environment like you get at some other shops. There's sick flash art any where you look which is always nice to see. They even have a "bone roller" get-what-you-get table in the front if you're up for that. I've got a good bit of work from Mitch & he's done a killer job every time. She works out of an MD's office, but she has another office and practice in Miami with a renown dermatologist as well, so clearly there is even professional respect for her in the medical field. (Always a good sign!) I booked a consultation and within moments I knew I made the right decision and that I would have the procedure done by her. I had permanent eyeliner done by her. The consultation was about my expectations, what she thought would be best, and a great intersection of both is what I chose. She sketched on me and showed me what the result would mostly likely look like. (I say "most likely," but she was very clear and she was 100% right.) First, I didn't feel any pain, it mostly tickled if anything. (She uses numbing agents.) Second, it is obvious she is one of the best at what she does, as the results were what we discussed and she puts you at ease. I had this idea of having my eyes done darker and thicker, but she was pretty conservative and I'm glad. (That's what you want- I have seen pictures posted on other's sites where the women look like clowns. Very sad...) When I went for my touch up appointment (which is included), we added just enough more. But that's not all, Diane is also a very sweet, very personable, down-to-earth person. A rare find in any industry, let alone the cosmetic/beauty field. If you are considering permanent makeup, don't look anywhere else, please go to About Face.
