I'm not sure how many more holes my daughter can get in her ears. In my day you got one hole in each ear lobe. Did you know that there are over 10 different names and places you can claim as a hole?! The daughter wanted a forward helix. You say, a what? Exactly! The woman who pierced her told my daughter where she thought the best place would be. It is still a forward helix, but you could have it either higher up or lower. My daughter said there wasn't any pain. She loves her new hole in the head addition, but now she wants another one! I am still adamant that she can't have the one between her nostrils. Move out and then get the piercing. I have complete faith in Athena. They don't rush you and the place is very chill. After the piercing the daughter asked me to get a belly ring. Are you out of your mind? She said she would get one if I got one. I have a feeling she will get one regardless. She has my blessing as long as she gets it done here. read more

AMAZING! So so ecstatic I found this place! After my weird experience last night at a piercing place in Delray, I came across this place, made a call, and was answered by Vee! What a sweet warm human being! Answered all my questions and told me it's best to make an appointment but they do accept walk ins. Walked in as soon as it opened Saturday @ 12 to look at the jewelry. The vibe was so right. Felt extremely calm and serene upon entering. Was greeted by the sweetest girl that walked me thru all the jewelry and was super knowledgeable, thoroughly answering my questions & that told me they had an opening at 2:30pm. Booked!! Ran some errands, and headed back to my appointment slot. Let me tell you the jewelry is absolutely STUNNING! I was laser focused on this cute little blue/green stud. Jewelry piece was $90 but I will tell you....you get what you pay for....spend the extra money on yourself to do right by yourself, you know?! Vee made me feel super comfortable! So so so happy they did my piercing! I had it done when I was 17 but it's been closed now for 15yrs now, so we did a little test to see how the old spot was doing. Took less than 5 minutes it felt like. Was over in seconds and it is so stunning! SO HAPPY I took a chance on this place. Will be coming back for future piercings and jewelry! (Hoping to get a horseshoe nose hoop with studs on both ends *fingers crossed*) Update: Was feeling spicy and wanted to go back the next day, Today; Sunday, to get a Tragus piercing. Same experience! I absolutely adore this staff they are amazing! :) read more

Thank you so much Vee for a great experience! I love this shop and I typically like to make an appointment, but I was in the area running errands and decided to do a walk in. As always Sabrina was kind and welcoming. I didn't wait nearly as long as I expected being a walk in with appointments ahead of me. The entire experience was seamless, Vee was very friendly, quick, made sure I felt comfortable and had all of the information possible needed for my new vertical philtrum! They really did a great job! I highly recommend this shop and will only come here for all future piercings. read more

Quick and painless. They were able to reopen my clothes, nostril piercing, and I did not feel it.

What a fabulous piercing experience! From start to finish, counter assistance to pick out my stud, to the piercing itself, and then back again for the downsizing. Vee was amazing! The shop is so clean and the owner was so kind when I needed to change out the downsize again. The nostril piercing by Vee healed incredibly fast with no swelling, and no issues whatsoever. I seriously cannot believe how quickly it healed - within two days it was like I'd always had it! I place that directly on Vee's expertise and professionalism. Can't wait for my next one!! Highly recommend that if you're looking to get a piercing, go to Athena! read more

I am forever biased to Athena Body Adornment. I recently went back for another birthday piercing and took a friend with me. My friend has never been to Athena's and has only been to other local shops for her piercings. She didn't get a piercing but she bought some new jewelry. She agrees that Athena's is the best place to go and she'll be returning for her future piercings. Athena's never fails to provide the best service and care. The environment is beautiful, welcoming, and the people are always so nice. There's a lot of jewelry to choose from and even though it's a little more on the pricey side you get what you pay for (i can't stress this enough) !! I would rather spend the little extra money to ensure the piercing is done right and that i'm properly taken care of. Additionally, this is the first time i've gone to Athena's as a walk-in. In the past i've always booked online but since we went so close to the holidays we thought we would just test our luck. They did inform us that they prioritize appointments over walk-ins (which they also state on their website) and we were completely understanding. There were 2 appointments before us and one was a no show. It was probably a 45 minute wait but there was a nice seating area with some jewelry catalogs to look through. If you want to ensure you go in right away book your appointment either on the website or over the phone! I've worked with Sara multiple times and Vee took care of us both this visit. They are both absolutely amazing. Can't wait to go back read more

Great service for my teen daughter's first ear piercings. Employee was very thorough with explanation and made us feel welcome.

Amazing experience! It was my first piercing and I felt in good hands from the start. The staff was super attentive, answered all my questions before the procedure, and made me feel very comfortable. The aftercare support has also been great -- they clearly explained how to take care of the piercing and have been available for any follow-up questions. I would definitely come back and highly recommend them! read more

Had a great experience with Vee. I was walked through the entire piercing process step by step. Would recommend.

This is for an experience I had waaaay back, but I'd thought I might as well leave a review because it was a great experience and I love supporting women-owned businesses! I had a daith piercing done at another location that was both painful and horribly misaligned. The owner of the studio at the time (which I'm almost positive is the same one now) was able to look at my piercing promptly (even as a walk-in) and was able to remove the piercing efficiently and with such care. And no charge at all! Definitely one of the better piercing places located in South Florida :) read more

Vacationing and wanted to get our ears pierced. Booking was super easy with availability the next day and privately. My mom got four piercing with me at three, plus jewelry. I had an appointment for a nose piercing today with Sara Schneider and she was amazing. She explained everything that she planned on doing in detail and gave me the reasons as to why. She was very gentle, patient, and confident in what she was doing. From the moment I walked in the door I was given excellent care when it came to safety procedures. The jewelry options were of great quality and beautiful as well. I would absolutely recommend coming here for a piercing. They offer high quality customer service and go in depth about aftercare and maintenance. I love my nose piercing! Thank you Athena Body adornment for your great work! read more

This was my second time coming to Athena Body Adornment for a piercing. Today I came to downsize my 2 Helix piercings, which turned out amazing. I have been wanting to get a septum piercing so I had that done today. (LOVE IT!) What's another hole... lol I can not say enough good things about this piercing studio. I found them after a lot of research. They have an amazing, gorgeous, and large selection of jewelry. The shop has a great vibe and style. Most important...spotless and the piercing rooms are very clean. They take time btw clients to clean rooms and sterilize jewelry and equipment. The girls are amazing. So friendly, patient, and a positive energy. Picking out jewelry took me forever. This will be in you for 6-9 months before you can change it... so you want to love it. They have such a huge selection. (Thank you for being so patient with me and helping me pick out pieces I love. Stones and metal that work with my current jewelry and skin tone). Alison was so amazing! I was glad she was there to do my septum today. She has done all 3 of my piercings. She is very educated, gentle, there was no pain, and she has a calming energy. She walks you through the process, will show you every tool used and each step. On a side note: this is the year of piercings for me. Finding someone who pierces well is like finding a good tattoo artist. So a tip from me to you from what I have learned. They need to have the the proper education, experience, understand each person's anatomy and how jewelry will sit and fit on your body. You also want someone who knows how piercings heal, what to watch for, and what to do if any complications happen. I was able to call them. They will have you come back to assess the piercing. They tell you when to come back for down sizing and why. (Not all shops take the time to do the small things that make the big difference in the end) This was the shop that did it all and more! Go! read more

After a frustrating experience at another studio, I came to Athena, where the clean, welcoming atmosphere and friendly cool staff instantly put me at ease. I met with Sara, an incredible curator and creator, who truly understands the art of piercing. She took the time to listen, offer tailored advice for my design. She definitely spoke my language. I find there's nothing better than to have a piercer who can INSPIRE you! I'm so thrilled with what we've worked on so far. Everything came out nicely. Can't wait for the next phase. This is my go to place now. You should definitely stop by for your next piercing. Thanks Sara & Drew. read more

Just got my septum pierced and can't recommend Athena Body Adornment enough. I chose them because they exclusively focus on piercing (rather than a tattoo shop that does piercing as a side-service), they're certified, they're super focused on cleanliness, they're affirming, and they have excellent reviews. Every moment spent in their shop was amazing. Drew at the front desk was friendly, patient, and knowledgeable - he answered a million questions, walked me through all my options, and made me feel super comfortable. We talked about all the jewelry and style options down to gauging, sizing, fit, and materials. We talked about the pros/cons of each, aftercare, changing it out, and more. Alison was my piercer and is a literal shining example of what you would hope for in a piercer. She explained every step of the process before it happened and as we went. She encouraged me to ask questions, obtained ongoing consent as we moved through the procedure, checked in frequently to see how I was feeling, and provided positive support. I only have my ears pierced, so this was a big jump for me. So grateful to the Athena team for making this such a great experience. I love my piercing and it's exactly what I wanted! read more

I found Athena Body Adornment after having a 'Mean Girls' experience at another highly rated piercing studio. I don't know how to put in words how lovely the team at Athena is. Sara is an absolute badass. Point blank, she knows her stuff. Her experience and eye for symmetry saved me the headache of a costly lobe repair I thought was necessary. She has the most gentle hand and makes the entire piercing process extremely comfortable. Not only is she an exceptional piercer, but also knows her way around gems and curating your jewelry. Drew in the front of house is always happy to answer my never ending questions, provide opinions, or help order jewelry. Allison and Vee are also incredibly helpful! By now, the whole crew has worked with me at some point or another, between downsizing healing piercings, troubleshooting a PITA piercing from another shop, ordering custom jewelry, or getting fresh piercings. I'm so grateful to have found such a kind, genuine, and most importantly, skilled, piercing studio so close to home. I can't wait to continue my ear curation journey! read more

I've never been to a piercing studio like Athena, and now I'll never go anywhere else! I felt very at ease throughout the entire process. I didn't catch the name of the person who VERY patiently helped me go through the selection of jewelry, but the name on the receipt says Aixa. Alison was my piercer, and she was very kind and professional. She took her time to ensure I liked the placement before doing the piercing. I can't wait to return to downsize the jewelry because I'm already planning my next piercing. Thank you for such a wonderful experience!!! read more

It bothers me that I can't buy jewelry without getting it put on by a piercer even though I already had the piercing, with the explanation being that there's no returns so they have to place it to be sure. I wish I had the choice. Also, I felt like the price was a lot more than the expectations I had for jewelry for something I have gotten somewhere else with the same quality for less cost. I thought it about this for a while, and my feelings haven't changed, overall a good and pleasant and positive experience. read more

I wanted to take an opportunity to update my review of this facility. Since my original visit for my piercing I have been back twice. Once to replace the original post and once replace my jewelry. The experience has been consistent every time. The employees working the desk ( I apologize for not knowing their names) greet you warmly and are very helpful when asking questions and selecting jewelry. Vee, my piercer, is always very patient and takes her time answer any questions I may have. You never feel rushed and they answer all questions even if it may seems silly. I'm sure they get the same questions all the time. The experience is much different then going to a tattoo parlor. ( nothing against tattoo parlors but this is a totally different vibe) Finally, the prices are fair and reasonable. I purchased my saline spray from them when I first got my piercing. I checked online later and found that the price they charge is actually lower than Amazon. They have jewelry available for all budgets. And I love the piece that I purchased. I would highly recommend then to anyone who it's in the market for a piercing. read more

Always get my daughter's piercings here. Both from the front staff and piercers themselves are all welcoming and helpful in choosing your desired jewelry piece and any questions you have pertaining to your piercing. My daughter has seen Vee for multiple piercings throughout the years and absolutely loves getting pierced by him. We always make sure to come on a day that we see he is scheduled for. You can either make an appointment online or walk in, just be mindful of the time/date if you choose to be a walk in since they may not be able to get to you depending on assisting and taking care of the individuals who already have a booked appointment. Jewelry posts are titanium grade and jewelry pieces come in a wide range of goods, silvers, and gems. Prices also vary between pieces. They also take care of piercing troubleshoot questions, and even downsize appointments that happen a month or so after the initial one. Andrew was also amazing in helping my daughter choose her piece as well. read more
