By the time u laid down on the table for the piercing, once again her body odor was so overwhelming, I couldn't handle another second and had to make an excuse that I was having 2nd thoughts. I chose the jewelry I preferred and then I waited for a few minutes while the technician went to prepare everything to be sterilized for the procedure. It didn't take long before I was called in. She explained how the process would go and some of the things I would experience which was very helpful to me. The procedure itself had a quick painful moment. It didn't last long at all. Before I realized, we were done and my nose was sparkling with my new piece of jewelry! I wish I remember the name of the technician to give her a shout out, but if you're reading this, you were awesome :) Afterwards, I was explained the healing process and how I needed to take care of my new nose ring. Overall, it was a great experience. I think most importantly to me is that the staff made me feel safe, welcomed, and I felt informed of what was about to happen which me being nervous, made a huge difference! Ps. I was referred to Babylon by a lot of my friends because they all said great things about the piercer. They said that she was nice and does a great job and to definitely go there because you will get a really good job done. I also read the reviews and I think that the person that they saw was Jess. So I went with my mom and I got the notarized consent form to get a nostril piercing. When I got there, I was told that Jess no longer works there and they said that the new piercer will take care of me so I didn't really think anything of it because I felt that if the reviews were good about the old piercer the new piercer should be just as good so I decided to get the piercing because I was already there with my mom. My nose piercing was not good at all. She was shaking the whole time and made me feel very uneasy. The whole nose piercing was very painful. After it was done, it was so uncomfortable that it made me scared and I had to go to another shop to have it looked at by another piercer. That piercer told me that it was the wrong jewelry and that it was too small and not the right thing to be pierced with to start. I had to get it changed and my mom had to pay for not only my nostril piercing at Babylon but also for the other person to put in a new jewelry to make the pain go away. She also didn't even tell me how I needed to take care of it. The piercer that fixed my nostril piercing told me that I was supposed to be given aftercare instructions and I was not told anything. This was supposed to be something that I was looking forward to and it only ended up being very painful and unpleasant for me. I don't understand why if somebody doesn't work at a place anymore that people are made to think that they do when the reviews are good. I was expecting a good experience like all my friends had. I am definitely not going back. I hope that anybody reading this doesn't go here either.

I went back and waited 10 minutes before being acknowledged and was quickly dismissed and told that I need to clean my jewelry and using saline (what I've used to clean my piercings for the past 7 years as most people do) is what's causing more grime to enter the jewelry . They told me to purchase an ultra sonic machine off Amazon and after I did so and used it a few times, over the course of two weeks, my jewelry only oxidized further. Had to buy new jewelry from another local place and they confirmed that this happens when the jewelry is low quality. I feel like I wasted my money replacing my jewelry twice within 2 months and I felt brushed off when I came looking for answers.

Man, what a great experience…read more I had been toying with the idea of getting a tattoo for some time and kept putting it off and naturally the state of the world had me delay it even more. I begun researching it more recently and then received an email notice from Yelp regarding Ink Addiction and what they were doing to stay safe during these times. I called it a sign and put in a request for a consultation. Making the consultation was easy and within a day or two I was over there, talking to the tattoo artist, Mel who would help me design my overall tattoo. I gave her the concept and outline, she did the rest. The consult took about 15 minutes and an appointment was made. There is $100 deposit you must put down to hold the reservation that ultimately goes toward the price of your tattoo. She gives you the rate and then the appointment is scheduled. A few days later I was back. Due to social distancing and such, it was just her and I in the shop. I noticed immediately just how clean this place was. I wish some restaurants looked this good. The session took four hours (exactly what she promised me). And I couldn't be happier with the results. She took her time with everything, applying ointment so my skin wouldn't dry out. She took pristine care of my tattoo and of me. She offered me breaks if needed and was really easy to work with. Honestly, I couldn't be happier with it if I tried. I have zero complaints. I always say after this I'm done, but I'm sure I'm not and I'll absolutely be going back to Ink Addiction for my future tattoo.
