    Nigiri
    Pedro S.

I am baffled how someone allows a place like this to exist. It's a disgrace to the Korean and Japanese culture. I've truly never had anything worse. As soon as I saw the presentation I wanted to get up and leave but I decided to give it a try. The fish on the nigiri was freezer burned and turned to mush in one bite. The peppered tuna looked like dogs had chewed it before it got to the plate. The rice was not sticky so it did not hold its shape. The spicy tuna roll fell apart and was again freezer burned. The dining room was disgusting. After two bites I got up and asked for my money back. The staff looks like they just rolled out of bed and put pajamas on to come to work. When I asked for my money back the staff giggled. No one seems to have any pride in what they're doing here. Truly terrible. Awful. Disgusting. I don't have enough words to describe the pathetic excuse of an attempt this place is at modern Asian cuisine.

Worst sushi I have ever had in my life! Total waste of money. Don't waste your time or money here. For example: my roll came out more as a poke bowl than a roll. Each roll was cut different sizes and most weren't even fully cut, causing the rolls to completely come apart. I even tried using a fork to eat. I don't think there is a sushi chef working here because this is not a mistake they would make. I didn't even mention the dust rich light fixtures above each table. Or the sticky tables. Or the extremely dirty utensils. There are better sushi places in Waco. Go there!

We ordered to go and the food was pretty good. Wasn't as warm as i thought but it was pretty tasty. We all loved it with some kimchi.

The food is great. Seaweed salad and tuna tower are my fave. But this place has to do better or people won't come here! Kids are watching tv on their phones at volume 10 (this is their babysitter). In a booth a grandma and kid are stretched out sound asleep. They look homeless. The girl at the counter is screaming and cackling jokes to the kitchen. And the storage room is in the dining area!! Cmon management. Really????

Not impressed at all. First off the place was super dirty, kinda gross. Most tables were dirty the bench seats were crusted and stained, but couldn't see all that until after you order as you order when you walk in the door & they bring it out to you. We got 2 of the dragon rolls which is spicy tuna on top of a roll with cucumber tempura shrimp avocado. The roll itself was decent but the spicy tuna was terrible! It was room temperature, almost warm and the spice was like a chili powder you might use in Mexican food .... It left a horrible taste in your mouth and did not taste anything like I've ever had. And I love sushi, I've tried a lot of different types. If you are looking for sushi in the Waco area I WOULD NOT RECOMMEND this place

What a fun place to eat! Sushi with a Korean twist, some of the dishes I tried are delicious. I will definitely return each time I visit Baylor. Place is a self serve style, simple and that is why I liked it. Order, get a number and find a table, the employees bring your food. Very positive experience.

You order at the front counter when you walk in. They have an interesting combination of things..... poke bowls with many "specialty " options or a build your own. And they have a crepe menu with lots of different protein options for lunch or dinner rolled up and served like a cone, also a dessert menu featuring the crepes with fruits , custard, and ice cream. They also make ice cream in a cold stone right in front of you! All the stuff the prepare fresh to order behind a plexiglass wall so you can watch what they are creating, it was fun to see. Soda & Drinks are in a cooler by the register, they do offer free cups for water or bottles. We ordered 2 Hawaiian bowls, one build your own bowl, and a crab crepe. The Hawaiian bowl, which was Ahi tuna, (choice of brown or white) rice, cucumber, scallions, mini diced jalapeño and..... I'm not sure what else was in it, but it was very tasty. (All of the ingredients are listed up on the menu board so you can see them). super tender, melted in your mouth Ahi, all the vegetables. Everything in the bowl tasted very fresh and clean. It was wonderful. Just enough sauce drizzled in the top to flavor the whole bowl. I would highly recommend it. The build your own bowl he got with tuna, and I'm not sure what else was in it, but he got a spicy sauce drizzled over the top and added seaweed salad to it, and I tasted that as well and it was super yummy. The presentation of the crab crêpe was beautiful. It looked super tasty, and my friend said it was really good. Although they use imitation crab, she said that it was still pretty good. For dessert, we ordered the fruit basket crêpe, which had custard and a medley of different fresh sliced fruits and a small scoop of ice cream on the top. We asked them if they could somehow cut it in half so we could share it and they did. It was almost like a fruit sundae with ice cream on top. It was delicious, but I probably would have preferred a waffle cone instead. the creeps are super light and airy cooked perfectly and tasted really wonderful. Our friend got the ice cream and it was a lot of fun to stand and watch them make it. After it is done, you get to choose three toppings and a sauce to go over the top. Although I did not taste to the ice cream, they said it was good. If you are looking for a sushi roll, this is not the place for you, but if you are wanting super fresh ingredients and a mouth full of flavor, you will definitely want to try this place!

We were seated immediately and our waters came promptly. We needed a bit of time to look over the menu and didn't feel rushed at all. We ordered the chicken tan tan dumplings, which came out quickly and were fabulous. I ordered a paitan ramen with pork belly and my husband got the spicy tan tan with a mix of ground beef and pork. I thought the pork belly was hard to eat the way it was served, but I also think it was a standard way to serve it so it was a me problem. The spicy tan tan is ONLY spicy because of the meat and our server said it was probably a 2/5 on spice, but you can spice up the broth more if you want. Overall, great experience. Clean location with lots of parking, good food with a variety on the menu, and great service. We'll be back!

Even with some menu items i.e. the chicken tangsuyuk or soups have been weird at times and ive had to say im sorry i dont think I can eat it. They were kind enough to replace the soup with another soup but it makes me wonder why the consistency or flavor changes. The side dishes are the star of the meal for me. I love their sweet soy potatoes always hits the spot for me. Their kimchi is solid and their rotation of other side dishes is always a nice surprise. The lady makes her rounds from time to time and I believe the sound is there too they're both very down to earth and nice people. I will say two of my all time fav dishes are their galbitang and their dolsot bibimbap can't go wrong if I stick with either of those dishes. I was slightly confused the very first time I tried them in late 2024 and felt like I was walking into a sushi bar, but glad they make korean dishes. The service is pretty good, some of them are very polite and helpful sometimes it can get busy and it's hard to get the waiters attention. The feel is a sushi restaurant with the counter in front where they make rolls not too contemporary but not very old either. Go for the service and try some korean dishes a little more expensive than I would like as the dishes are not consistent and some of the dishes are definitely a fusion or a slight twist on the original flavor or tradition taste. I haven't tried the sushi so I can't speak on that but I have seen quite a few customers order it.

The moment we walked in we were not greeted by anyone at the host stand, but there was a few staff (I assumed) congregated at the bar. They weren't even crowded, maybe 3 tables in the whole restaurant at 2pm on a Sunday. When I was finally greeted, I let them know I was here to pickup a to-go order. I immediately could see that our whole order wasn't there, since I am the one that placed the order, but the young gentleman told me that it was everything in the order that he had gotten. I showed him my receipt and pointed out what was missing. He then said to give them 15 minutes to prepare. Okay no problem. I waited 20 minutes and sent my daughter in to ask for some water and napkins, but she returned to say it's not ready, they don't give water to-go and they gave her two napkins. I'm like what??? come again? Yes,I heard correctly, so I go back inside, again, have to go to the bar because there's nobody at the host stand. I am repeatedly told that they indeed don't give water for to-go orders. I'm visibly pregnant and have wasted over an hour at this place and they cannot even give the courtesy to give us water for all the back and forth we had to deal with. The manager or whoever it was that finally came to speak with me, finally agreed to give me water, but by then I was done. I walked out of that place knowing that I will never be back again. To the owner, I looked at reviews after leaving here, and my review is not the only one with the exact same complaints. FIX IT, please. I understand hiring younger staff can be a challenge, but it's your job to train them in appropriate customer service. I will never forget being super pregnant and thirsty and being refused water after waiting an hour for my food and being rationed on napkins only after being given zero. I won't even comment on the food because I may be biased at this point, but I know for a fact that the tea I ordered was not worth $8 when I could have poured my own glass of bland, plain milk at home.
