I had been dealing with fertility issues for the last year, and was experiencing unbearable stress and anxiety. After just one visit with Kuan I felt the tightness in my chest going away and my anxiety disappearing. After just five visits I was pregnant. :) I continue to see Kuan every week. The experience is always very calming, and restful, and balancing. The office is always impeccably clean and welcoming. They have a huge selection of books in the waiting room that you can borrow on a weekly basis. They have bottled water. They have soothing relaxation music in all the rooms. The treatment beds are clean, comfortable, and heated. Kuan himself could not be any nicer or more accommodating. He starts each visit discussing your current state and makes adjustments to your treatment as necessary. Each acupuncture session also includes an acupressure massage (which is wonderful.) You don't have to be "into" every principle of Traditional Chinese Medicine, Qi, energy meridians, etc in order to feel the effectiveness of acupuncture. In fact, I started my visits as a pretty big skeptic. But whatever Kuan does, works! He helped relieve my stress and made me feel more balanced. And most importantly: he helped me get pregnant! I opted for the $69 special with aromatherapy foot bath, 30 minute pressure point foot massage and one hour body massage. My therapist was no nonsense, but friendly. I had pulled my neck/shoulder last week and we talked about the depth of pressure I was looking for. Amazing! I've had many many massages and this one was one of the best. I left feeling utterly relaxed and the tightness in my neck had melted away. Two days later I'm still pain free. She used a massage cream instead of oil, which is my preference and even used hot stones. Highly recommended, I will definitely return.

I called Jose and told him how miserable I was, and he fit me in that day. He gave me herbs which I took daily for about 4-5 weeks, and did double-sided acupuncture treatments two times per week to start. After just two doses of herbs I noticed an improvement, and with continued acupuncture, I had great relief from my symptoms. Jay is always customizing the treatment and looking to make it as productive and healing as possible - which is why I always feel terrific after a treatment. Very clean & comfortable office. The intake and diagnosis was seamless and while it was not great to hear that I was a "textbook case" I knew I was in good hands in terms of treatment and I felt like there was a plan in place to attack what I was dealing with. I was too locked up to adjust that day, but I returned days later for a quick adjustment that literally reset my entire frame of reference: Pain was gone, balance returned and I was able to move with more certainty. I have a lot of work ahead of me to undo years of what my desk/plane/car related career has done, but I look forward to working with Dr. Martone and team to get there!
