My favorite library & I desperately missed it while it was closed for renovations. They must have…read morebeen mainly upgrading the infrastructure because I don't see any real physical evidence of remodeling. There is plenty of parking & a quiet room for ADD & special needs folks with spinners etc. I love almost all the librarians with one notable exception who shall remain nameless but I'm told she gets lots of complaints. The internet isn't as strong as I think it should be for the amount of people who use it! I do appreciate that the librarians have tables set up with their favorite books. I do wish they would go back to the old days where quiet was observed but the Apex library is better about that I've found. I wish wake county libraries would have DVD's the way Durham libraries do.

Pretty good selection of books. Has a great quiet room where several people can study without too much distraction. The desks throughout the open area in the library are generally taken if you come here after school. Lots of local students study here. My kids have met tutors here to study and done their own independent study here. The staff is friendly and helpful. Bathrooms are decent enough. Dated but generally clean. Library was closed for a few months so this may have changed. I didn't visit the restroom on my most recent visit.

The photos I took do not cover how incredible this five story library truly was. Set on the NC…read moreState University campus, this is a hidden gem for book lovers and those who love Swedish design. It is massive and as soon as I walked in I felt right at home. I stumbled on this while looking for things to do in the area while attending a book signing. Being a book lover and author, this was an obvious choice. My friend and I explored the first two floors (we were pressed for time) and were in awe. I wish Charleston had something like this because I would be here every single day working on my next manuscript. There were several rooms, desks, and seating areas for readers and students alike to choose from. The large windows allow for plenty of natural light that offsets the bright interior lights. They have a wide collection of titles and studies! Highly recommend that you check it out. Just remember to be quiet and respectful as students may be present working on their projects.

On the other hand, my son complained about the slow public wi-fi, which is a pretty big negative when you're studying using your laptop. He said it took 10 minutes just to get connected to the wi-fi. But for that, this seems like a nice spot to study if you've got a personal hotspot (or access otherwise to faster Internet). Hopefully, there is faster wi-fi for NC State students.

I love this library! Ever since they reopened last year it has become my library of choice. It…read moreisn't the largest library in Raleigh by any means, but it still has everything you need! I really love the drive-thru book drop off. I usually swing by before I bring my son to school and it's very convenient that we all don't have to get out of the car to return the books. I also love the self checkout stations inside the library. They are pretty magical, especially if you are checking out a ton of books. The children's section is great! It's set up in a way that is very clear and easy to follow depending on what age group you are looking for. I loved the candy land inspired interactive game they had setup in December. My son had so much fun checking it out. I especially loved that it was open if the library was open, you didn't have to go in at a specific time. I also love their Lucky Day section at the front of the library. You might get lucky and score a book that would otherwise have a super long waitlist. Such a neat concept! In general Wake County's online library system is awesome. It's so easy to reserve books and e-books as well. At North to pick up your books just head straight in towards the back by the main checkout desk. You can easily find what you need in alphabetical order there. I used the word love a lot of times in this review, but I really do truly love our Wake County library system. It's the best!!

It is always really quiet and there are always really nice workers. However, I have noticed a few times when I've gone there that the restrooms aren't that clean. Overall, the experience is really awesome though.
