A bright, well laid-out, decent-sized version of the upmarket supermarket chain. Even though it isn't my regular branch, it's easy to find my way around here and often pleasurably calm to visit, in comparison with more hectic high street branches.
The fresh counters are particularly well-stocked, as is the 'healthy' product section. There's also a decent choice of gift related items and magazines. What impressed me most, when I last came here with an older friend, was the genuinely helpful attitude and pleasantly chatty friendliness of the staff.
As in many of their other stores, they have the brilliant Community Matters charity scheme area, with three transparent 'bins', where you make your choice before placing the (free) token you receive - after paying for your shopping. Then, at the end of the month, £1000 is divided and donated accordingly, between three (monthly-changing) local good causes.
