Hence my love of cooking and buying ready made meals is anathema to me. However, when our kitchen was being renovated last year, we had to resort to (microwave) 'ping' meals and if you have to resort to those, Marks and Spencer do have some very good food.
This branch of M&S is food only, which is a slight shame as I do like their cotton chinos and have to trek elsewhere to buy those,
This is a fairly large M&S though of course not as big as their flagship stores in Central London. The layout gives enough space in the aisles and the labelling is good.
There is a small butchers and deli section but most of the food is boxed.
As with most M&S shops, there can be a slight delay at the tills but take note that there are quick pay counters too if you only have a few items.
M&S charge for carrier bags, which is still unique amongst the large supermarket chains, so don't get caught out when they ask if you want a plastic bag - they don't always warn you that they'll charge you read more
