The food was good, but it just took way too long. We stopped in here for a quick bite to eat after making gin at nearby Ladies and Gents.
The place was a little quiet, it being midweek and around 9pm. We were given menus and left to our own devices to pick and choose what we wanted. Opting for street food, we wanted just small plates that we could swap amongst ourselves.
We ordered and were left alone again, our drinks did take a while to arrive but the food, we saw it sitting under the heat lamps by the kitchen for a while with no servers to pick up the food. They were over having a chat by the bar and not really paying attention. When it was finally noticed, they brought it over quickly but we knew how long they had been sitting there.
The food was good an nicely prepared, the right side of spicy, but unfortunately the wrong side of crispy. The margaritas were tart and strong, so the meal itself was a good one, it just would have been better if served at the right time.
The service let them down here and turned a 4 star into a 3 star. read more
