The decor in this spot is really cool - it is well decorated. THEY HAVE A FOOSBALL TABLE FOR YOUR KIDS! Amazing. The service was alright. Seemed like there were only two servers around dinner/lunch time. They could have done better there. The kitchen was more staffed and my chips&salsa, AND fish tacos came out before I was brought a water, unfortunately. It also took a while to get my tab. The food was pretty good, and well priced, which I appreciate. It was tasty also! The salsa was very unique and well crafted. Went on a Mexican fiesta summer offer of free food. Loooooong queue but worth the wait. I have always had a soft soft for Wahaca and didn't realise they had branch here until the launch of this promotion event came about. Once inside you realise downstairs is just a burrito bar. Mostly to cater for takeaway. Not sure where you can go eat with it outside but I suppose you can take it back to your office or uni if nearby. Service friendly and smiley as they braved constant people. We took out burritos and I had my steak salad box that I choose instead as a healthier option up the stairs to the restaurant area. To our surprise it was huge, light, spacious and colourful. Much better than downstairs which was a bit confused in its decor. There was a Mexican live band playing, they gave us tap water and as I say the space was huge and vast. And colourful. This was what reminds me of Mexico! The food was good. I always like the quality of their pork and steak so happy with it. Think I'd choose burrito next time. I'm not one for too much salads. If I was to come back I would defo come back to sit upstairs. It's a a nice place . Staff are really helpful. We tried the Mexican street food section. They are mini tacos. We didn't like it it was very much oily . You need to order lots of them to make a meal. In general it was was a good experience but as a Mexican lover not impressed with food quality. read more

Wahaca manages to achieve the almost impossible mission of success without decline. Each branch that opens has a slightly new take on the bright Mexican street food eatery selling healthy South American tapas and the best tequila in town, all at mega affordable prices. This is the venue closest to home, and built in the old print works above the station. They have captured the vibes amazingly well, with ink on the walls and old shirts tied into colourful wall decorations. I also think the Kentish Town crew are the friendliest of the bunch. I have never had a bad meal or a bad margherita at Wahaca. These guys know what they're doing. Whether it's a crunchy chicken ceaser tostada, a crispy sweet potato & feta taquito or a delicious pork pibl taco, the mini dishes are a dream. Load up and enjoy! The bigger dishes are great too, whether you're into fish tacos, burritos or a salad where you can literally eat the bowl, it's all great! Make sure you start off with THE best guacamole and chips, and end with the decadent churros with chocolate sauce to complete your Wahaca experience. And don't forget the tequila! read more

This review is only about their burrito bar. Several months ago I had dinner at Wahaca in Brixton and was not thrilled with their empanadas or even their tacos. They were A-Ok. Loved the new Kentish town Wahaca at the old tshirt factory. It's right outside the tube station so it's super easy to find. There is a "burrito take away bar" downstairs, and the restaurant sitting is upstairs. I came here at 3pm Sunday and the place was 75% full filled with kids and families. They have the regular wahaca menu if you normally like Wahaca, it will not disappoint. In addition to normal Wahaca, they also have a foosball table for family and friends. We tried a few of theirs dishes- I feel it's pretty consistent with their other restaurants. The one that really stood out for me was the crab and avocado tostadas. Super refreshing summer dish. Very solid Mexican inspired cuisine. Quick service, a large menu, and a big open space -much larger than other restaurants on the area. The cuisine ee isn't authentic mexican but the different tacos burritos and other dishes still deliver and use high quality ingredients. I'll definitely be back. read more

The food was good, but it just took way too long. We stopped in here for a quick bite to eat after making gin at nearby Ladies and Gents. The place was a little quiet, it being midweek and around 9pm. We were given menus and left to our own devices to pick and choose what we wanted. Opting for street food, we wanted just small plates that we could swap amongst ourselves. We ordered and were left alone again, our drinks did take a while to arrive but the food, we saw it sitting under the heat lamps by the kitchen for a while with no servers to pick up the food. They were over having a chat by the bar and not really paying attention. When it was finally noticed, they brought it over quickly but we knew how long they had been sitting there. The food was good an nicely prepared, the right side of spicy, but unfortunately the wrong side of crispy. The margaritas were tart and strong, so the meal itself was a good one, it just would have been better if served at the right time. The service let them down here and turned a 4 star into a 3 star. read more

I just wanted to write a short note to congratulate all the staff at Wahaca Kentish Town for what they've brought to the area... The restaurant is beautiful, the service is always great & the food just keeps getting better as I explore the menu further on every visit! I have been here 3 times now since it opened & I plan on visiting many many more times in the future! On my last visit to here my girlfriend & I were served by a lovely girl by the name of Grace... She was one of the best servers I have ever encountered & whoever hired her should be commended for their ability to spot talent. Grace was friendly, attentive, unobtrusive & made some very welcome suggestions. I always always always take a suggestion from a server when I dine in restaurants that offer smaller dishes as I think most people can afford to take a £5 hit if the suggestion isn't to my liking... Thankfully, Grace's suggestion of the new Chorizo fundido & the Spiced Daiquiri were spot on! (Saturday 7th November @ 19:45) Also a quick mention to the bar staff as the Pacifico beer I ordered came out at such an amazingly cold temperature that it was gone within minutes of ordering, very impressive for a busy Saturday night when the drinks are flying out!
