Tractor Supply

Town N Country

Tractor Supply is honestly one of my go-to places, especially for pet food. Unless Publix or…read moreWalmart happens to be running some kind of special promotion, I usually find that Tractor Supply gives me a better price for the quantity of dog and cat food I'm buying. They also tend to have some pretty good sales on pet food and treats. Now, WILD BIRD AND SQUIRREL PEOPLE... this is where they lose me a little bit. I'm fairly new to feeding the birds and squirrels as a hobby, but I feed multiple species daily, so quantity and price matter. Their selection of bird food is GREAT, but I find their prices a little high for the amount you get. For example, today a 3-lb bag of raw peanuts in the shell was on sale for $9.99, normally $12.99. Meanwhile, I can get around 5 lbs at Publix for just over $6. So needless to say, my squirrels will continue getting their peanuts from Publix. I'm probably going to start doing the same with my birdseed because the blend I use is cheaper elsewhere for a larger quantity. That being said, Tractor Supply offers SO much more than just food. They have the self-service dog wash, veterinary services, pet supplies, treats, gardening and plant supplies, and all those random little things I'd rather grab here than make a trip through Lowe's or Home Depot for. And this might sound funny, but they have some of the CUTEST birthday cards! I also love when they have the baby chicks and ducks in the store. I don't need one. I'm not buying one. But am I stopping to look at them every single time? Absolutely. One thing I would tell people to pay attention to is how some of their promotions work. I've encountered offers where buying a certain amount qualifies you for a $5 gift card, but the way it rings up can be confusing. The first time it happened, I remember thinking, "Wait... just take the $5 off!" So definitely read the promotion and look at your receipt so you understand exactly how the deal is being applied. Overall, Tractor Supply is convenient, has a great variety of products, and is still my go-to for dog and cat food. I just wish they were a little more competitive on the bird and wildlife feeding side, especially for those of us feeding our backyard visitors every day. If you've never stopped into Tractor Supply because you assumed it was only for farms or livestock, it's definitely worth walking around one. You might be surprised by how much they actually carry. And apparently, if you start feeding squirrels like I did, just know you've basically added another set of mouths to the household.

This bag was full of useless powdery ground up pellets throughout the entire bag's column. Emailed them a message on their site about it, no reply after over a week. I guess they dont care if much of your feed has useless powder that the animal will not eat. besides, they got their money already. Next time I will order the SAME feed/brand from the Company that starts with an "A", as they deliver with no extra charge. I figured I would patronize a local fed store, even with the $10 or so shipping. No more. Tractor, you lost a customer because of your short sighted business model of not answering to customer's concerns. PS: Yelp does not allow me to correct the address of Tractor supply. It was the one on new Port Richey, not Tampa. although, if they use the same business model of ignoring customer feedback/complaints, what does it matter(?). Theyre all the same.

Sparr Building and Farm is a hardware store located in the city of Wildwood, FL. The first time my…read morespouse and I went in, I thought it was perfect. It's not as big as Lowe's and much cleaner and nicer. The people that work there are friendly and will take the time to stop and help you. When they see you looking around in each aisle, they would ask you if they can help you, unlike most larger hardware stores where you would walk pass a worker and they will not even look up. There is one person that works there really stood out for us. Her name is Carol, and she is a cashier. Carol's smile and her friendly disposition really stood out to us and now every time she sees us, she always greets us always says, "hi guys!". I always look forward to seeing her when we go into the store. She always asks how our day is going and how we are. When they are not busy, we will stand and chat with her for a bit but not long. We do not want to get her in trouble. They also have a bucket of bags of popcorn near her cash register so of course I always grab one when we are checking out. Oh, they also have cats in there for adoption and I think sometimes they have chicks too. Sparr is a little jewel tucked away in a small plaza behind McDonalds and Chipotle in the city of Wildwood. If you've never been to Sparr Building and Farm. Go in one time and check it out.

Staff at Sparr are super helpful and friendly. They have a great selection of bird food and peanuts.read more

I don't know where to begin my review because this store is great, not only for the wide selection…read moreof food and products they carry, but because of the staff ..... they are truly exceptional human beings. The only time you're a stranger is when you're outside the door because as soon as you're through, you become part of an extended animal foodie family many of us newbies dream about. I actually encountered this establishment about a year ago when I had moved to the area and had lost one of my dogs. I was excited because of the raw options they offered for my Doberman but more importantly they quickly offered to take my poster for my lost pup. That was it. I found my pupper BUT I lost the store because I never wrote down the name or address!! Luckily I found them again about a year later and I couldn't believe it. This store is fantastic - there are so many different selections of food (kibble, freeze dried, raw), treats, products, toys, etc, etc, etc so much! Bummer they didn't have the kibble we are currently feeding - not a problem- I was lucky enough to be visiting on an order day and my bag was ordered that day and I picked it up the next. It's that easy and every staff member wants to be so helpful. On pick up, there was some confusion on the protein that was actually in stock from the warehouse BUT i waited for a couple minutes and a phone call was made and the situation was rectified immediately. In that time, I met two more regulars who told me how much they loved Happy Tails and they had been coming there for years. One even said he came from Wesley Chapel bc he loved the service, the store and the fellow customers. I believe that says a lot in itself. I bought several products including some enzymatic carpet spray that staff suggested and it worked amazing. Another product I bought to hopefully prevent some wood chewing (knock on THAT WOOD that hasn't been chewed) bc it's working. I also bought some random chews and asked for suggestions for a "power chewer" bc our subscription box toys aren't cutting it for our current foster. Staff made a wonderful suggestion for a water buffalo horn AND our beautiful foster loves it too! Thank you! Happy Tails is really a wonderful small business that i'm proud to support. They are most interested in all of us having healthy, best fed pets. They also understand the value of adding small additions to your pet's current diet to make it healthier even if you can't afford to feed what you may feel is best for your pet. You can learn SO MUCH here about feeding. They'll work with you and offer suggestions for trying new things and ways to add more of what works for each member of your pet family. While the major focus is dogs and cats, I've seen 2 different bunny families come in and HapTails has offered to order what the families fed at home. The brand that I order for home, save 5% for auto ship and have delivered for free is actually a couple dollars cheaper at HapTails .... So there is no price inflation. I cancelled my auto ship today and my brand was excited I was shopping locally. I am too because this animal foodie is in love!! Our pack says Thanks Happy Tails! PS - they will carry your kibble or any order out to your car too. I'll honk to that.

I had to raise my voice at him to show me ALL the products and then let me choose the ones I want. Then I showed him how each product lists the ingredients right on the label, but he argued with me that they are all the same! He didn't even know what he was selling. Honestly, I shouldn't not have given him my money. I spent $136 on what I wanted for my 2 cats. I am not coming back here. Re: the owner's response. Shame on you. I barely raised my tone to let that man know that he could not bully me - and then he flat out lied about the products. This is just more bad service.
