First and last and only time I will ever take my dog there. Took my standard poodle puppy for grooming at 4 months of age. Told them I wanted a puppy cut with attention around eyes . Told them to take off about half of his body hair which was about two and a half inched long. The puppy I picked up was a total botch job of a cut. His entire body is shaved almost to the skin with long scraggly patches. No tail band, long patches all over body and feet, face long and scraggly, back of head shaved almost to skin. I am not a groomer and I could have done a better job. I am taking him somewhere else today to try to fix feet, face and tail. read more

I just moved to the area and had been spoiled by my past groomer, I took a chance on this place and glad I did. I told them how I wanted my dogs cut even took a picture with me and behold the dogs came out perfect, not only did they do a perfect job I have never seen my dogs so happy when I picked them up. My dogs are spoiled rotten and they get mad at me at least for a day when groomed, this time it was like they had been to a puppy day care for the day, all happy and beautiful. Took my Pomeranian there Friday first Time and last time.The cut was ok.But whatever they did to him he couldn't walk his front legs were not steady he was shaking.Today is Sunday and he still is messed up.Won't be going back. read more

We moved to the area from Maine two years ago and needed someone to groom our two Rag Doll brothers. April's was recommended to us. They do an excellent job on the boys. They are perfectly symmetrical with no bald spots or clumps of fur anywhere. They are very friendly and treat the cats with care. Our cats have never looked so good. We very much appreciate these wonderful people and we feel very comfortable entrusting our babies to them. read more

Please DON'T take your fur babies to this groomer! We took our small family puppy to this location and a couple hours later they called stating that there had been an accident. First they said that our puppy jumped out of the cage but later the truth came out and our puppy was dropped and severely injured by one of the groomers. We didn't receive an apology from the groomer and our puppy has a fractured vertebrae and injured spine. He has lost all function in his little legs. Please protect your pets and DON'T take them to this location. read more

Best place in town to have your fur babies groomed. I took my ragdoll for grooming, he's 4 years old never been to a groomer before, so I was a little apprehensive. But never fear, the groomers here are the very best. My little guy looks like a "little lion", he looks so great that I just made an appointment for my other cat. Highly recommend to everyone!! I have been to two other dog groomers here. One was pleasant enough. The other evokes fear in my and my dog's heart. I brought Maggie into Aprils Pet Grooming and they were amazing! This is a family owned business and they are all so personable. Maggie feels comfortable when she goes there. She always comes back looking beautiful. We took our cat Muffin there and they did a great job. Even put a green bow on top of her head. Too cute!!!! I recommend them to anyone who wants their animal treated right. I brought my dog in for a nail trimming. My husband let them know before we arrived that our pup does not enjoy getting his nails cut and has had difficulty in the past. We were reassured that it would be fine, and they had 5 people on staff that could help. When we arrived, I first asked for a muzzle knowing that Justice would be upset. He fought being put on the table, so a choker collar was used. Another gentleman then put Justice in a headlock. He continued to fight and thrash. After 2-3 nails had been ground down, I asked the groomer to stop letting them know that Justice was injured. I brought Justice's blood red eye to his attention. He said the muzzle was causing the redness and adjusted it. After finishing the paw, Justice was still beyond upset and I asked the groomer to stop. When I got home, the irritated eye was swollen with all white being blood red. 8 hours later the eye is still bloody and swollen after being strangled at April's grooming. If you have a pet that will not calmly cooperate with the groomer, look for another location that will not send you home with an injured pet. read more
